The toilet was literally taped together. The bathroom trim was literally taped to the wall with packing tape. There were cigarette burn holes in every single sheet and bedspread in a two bed room. The towels and shower curtains had stains. The mattress sagged. The floorboards in the bath were pulling apart, and from the looks of it a dog had been trapped in the bathroom for days and scratched off the bottom inch of the door. Goo lumps in the rug. The rate posted was $40 less than I paid on Orbitz. What. A horrible night.

We stayed here again this year after having previously staying here last year. We LOVED our experience last year and were hoping for the same this year. We were in 3 separate rooms in an hour. The first room had stains on the walls, what appeared to be a blood stain on the lamp shade, a broken air conditioning unit (it ran but was falling apart), and a very large, questionable (and crusty) white stain on the bedskirt. There was also no comforter on the bed. Just a very thin blanket and only a couple pillows for two people in a king size bed. The front desk person apologized and placed us in another room. He apologized and was very friendly. The next room was moderately cleaner and had a comforter and enough pillows but the air conditioning wouldn't even turn on. The front desk person was once again very friendly and apologetic but it was still a frustrating situation. Finally the third room we were placed in was acceptable and much closer to the room we were expecting. The front desk person gave us a 15 off coupon for our troubles but it didn't mean much given that it can't be used holidays or weekends... And I can easily find deals cheaper on other websites than booking directly through Red Roof... We will be looking for a new hotel next year.

Unfortunately this location turned out to be only a small notch above a no-tell motel. Although we requested a no-smoking room, and when we checked in we had to sign an elaborate promise that we would not smoke, the room absolutely stank of cigarette smoke -- I smelled it on myself and my belongings for more than a week. There was only one unitary blanket-combined-with-bedspread, and it was filthy. Amenities were minimal, wifi was useless. As an any port in a storm emergency stop, okay, it beats sleeping under a bridge, but otherwise avoid it. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I likethe remodeling that has been done. It has helped this locaiton greatly!!!!

This place is great just to have a spot in a town away from home, especially if you have large dogs. Laminate floors are so much better than musty carpet. However, I highly doubt the floors are mopped in between customers. There is a lot of activity going on in the surrounding rooms but then again, I wasnt exactly trying to sleep myself. The staff is very courteous

Safe and accommodating convenient and easy to find. Great desk personality

Red Roof Inn had a new look which was nice and convenient to the place we wanted to go

I was skeptical about this hotel because many of the other hotels in this price range did not look as good. The location was absolute perfection. Right off the exit of the highway and within walking distance of many stores and restaurants (within the same parking lot as Salvatore Scallopini which my boyfriend and I tried out and loved, so we highly recommend that as well!). The room was beautiful and very clean. Not much for cable selection, but they did have two channels of HBO. I would have liked a few more amenities (continental breakfast, pool, something), but this hotel didn't have anything. Still though, very worth the price I paid! Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone else!

It wasn't a bad place to stay for the price. The room was nice.

When I tried to check in (about 6:30 PM) I was told I was not in the system. I produced your email and they said:"how unusual". I had called 3 days earlier to request a ground floor room and they found me, no problem. The desk clerk just wanted to get rid of me and when I asked for some help he gave me an 800 number for another service. I think that since they were sold out when the 6 PM cutoff time came they took my money and resold my room. This company is dishonest and I am considering what further action to take. You will be hearing more from me on this matter and I would appreciate your initial response. Thomas Hurd

Enjoyed my stay. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. I would stay here again.

This motel was a little 'scary'; there were lots of 'drop ins' (we were checking in when two folks in front didn't have reservations), the motel's outside was not updated, the stairs we had to climb to the 2nd floor were not safe lookiing....all in all, I would not stay there again!

I travel a lot, and trust the Red Roof Inn brand. This Red Roof Inn meets those standards. It's not a 5 star resort, so you get what you pay for, and what you get is a good value. I stay in Flint for about a week every October, and always choose the Red Roof Inn, and will continue to do so!

room was clean and very comfortable. Right off the highway.

I stayed at this hotel for one night and unfortunately, would most likely not return. The room I was given was not clean, there were holes in the bed sheets, hair in the sink and flies/spiders as well. I did not get a good night's sleep due to feeling uncomfortable.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, but when I checked into the room, it smelled like stale smoke, even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The carpet and chairs had spots on them, and I was very careful about where I sat. On the other hand, I guess you get what you pay for. I put up with the hotel because it was close to where I needed to be, and it was inexpensive.

Pluses - The manager very helpful and efficient (I would hire this guy), the motel right next to the best shopping and right by the freeway entrance. The location felt pretty safe (speaking in Flint terms). Minuses - no washer and dryer for customers to do laundry, (this seems to be common at this price range in Flint though), and the was uncomfortable. All in all, though, a good deal for the price. I would definitely stay there again.

I needed an affordable safe hotel for the night and this fit the bill perfectly. I would stay here again

I guess a story in the Globe & Mail a few months ago, which revealed that Flint has the highest murder rate in the USA set up my radar to be anxious there. It did not help that the motel had a double entrance system where you had to be screened before being buzzed in. On the plus side, the staff were very nice. The young man at the desk told me how to find a Kroger's grocery store about a mile away. That was a scary place I would not go back to. Other than that, I did not step out of my car or the motel. The room itself was normal and as you would expect in any Red Roof Inn.

I stayed here several weekends in a row and each time the rooms were clean, comfortable and in excellant repair. The motel manager, Marty, was amazingly helpful and personable and made the whole experience wonderful.
