room was smaller then expected and bed was uncomfortable, all was clean and well kept. breakfast was average, bagels were stale.

Room was dark and dirty, bed uncomfortable, staff surly and unhelpful with one exception called Amy. The Inn could be very charming, and was, last time we stayed there, but it has changed hands. The new owners are cutting corners at every opportunity: i.e. the bottles of shampoo, etc. were all empty. The breakfast is mediocre at best. Some of the pastries were stale and the hard boiled eggs were past their sell-by date. The coffee carafe was constantly empty so we had to keep asking for more coffee, etc. It's a shame because it used to be a very nice place, but we will not stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in a king room with a jaccuzi tub. The room was comfortable and quiet (at the end of a corridor). The hotel is set back from the road, so there is no noise from the road. The breakfast was good, with lots of variety. We enjoyed the tea and cookies about 4:00 in the afternoon after long days of visiting Winterthur, Longwood Gardens, and the Wyeth Museum. Several restaurants were nearby. We will return.

We enjoyed our stay at the Brandywine River Hotel. The hotel is set back from the road, with a field in the back, so the room was quiet. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. We booked the king suite with the 2-person jacuzzi; the room and bathroom were large and clean, with a small table, couch, easy chair, ottoman, and small refrigerator. There were reading lamps on both sides of the bed. Breakfast came with the room and included cold cereal, instant oatmeal, apples, oranges, cottage cheese, make-your-own waffles, pastries and breads, hard boiled eggs, orange juice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Breakfast was served 6:30-9:00 during the week in a pleasant dining room. Tea and cookies were served in the afternoon (4:30-6:30). Two restaurants were adjacent to the property and there were many restaurants within easy driving distance. The hotel was very convenient to visiting the Brandywine Valley Museum (for Wyeth tours), Winterthur, and Longwood Garden. We would stay in this hotel again when we return to the Brandywine Valley.

Our family has met at this hotel several times before. We all enjoy staying here since we visit family staying at Kendall. Especially like the "tea" at 4:00 pm when you sometimes need a pick me up. The bathrooms could use some updating, but overall its a nice experience. Would stay again and probably will!!

This is a lovely hotel, set back from the road, surrounded by old houses, barns and the fields of the Brandywine River Valley. It is just 1/4 mile distance from the Brandywine Art Museum, which is where the Andrew Wyeth & Brandywine artists are exhibited. There is also a revolutionary war battle site, lots of wine tasting sites, antique shops, and good local restaurants near bye.

Overall a great deal and a nice little hotel. Very nice hotel inside. Basic brick outside.

We have stayed here on many occasions. Staff is always polite and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Suggest having a room that looks out the back, as it is nothing but fields. You don't hear the cars in the parking lot. Never hear other guests. The make your own waffles for breakfast is a nice touch.

The hotel is very convenient to The Wyeth, River Museum. Plan a day to visit all the sites related to the artist family. The hotel serves tea and cookies at 4pm and a nice breakfast each morning. Two excellent restaurants are in walking distance from the hotel.

This place was a class act from the start the staff was wonderful. Our wedding stay was like a fairytale we will stay again

Our reserved room was next to the elevator. We had it changed and settled for two beds instead of a queen bed. I never saw any evidence of the lobby bar ever being open. Breakfast was cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, pastry and waffles. All of the oranges were gone before we arrived. There were apples also. However, they were put away before we were finished our eggs, orange juice, coffee and toast. The hard boiled eggs were great! There was also progressive jazz and blues music on the loud-speakers, not appropriate for breakfast, something a little brighter with a discernable melody would be nice. Everything was clean and attractive, especially the exercise room. We accidentally left our computer charger in our room. I called the next day. No one could find it. I know leaving it was our mistake. Either the maid failed to see it when she cleaned the room and the next guests took it for themselves or the maid found it and kept it for herself. Other than that we had a great time.

Room was large and comfortable. Queen size bed had a down comforter. Very good breakfast in the morning including fresh waffles. the only drawbacks were the small coffee cups and the lack of water pressure in the shower

It was very easy to find and there were alot of restraunts close by. The rooms were on the small side but they were very clean. The breakfest was the best part of the trip. It was a little cold in the morning so they sided a fire in the fireplace and we ate our breakfest.

nice quiet hotel that we were able to get away for a day as a couple. Liked the room with the fireplace and jaccuzzi. Visited Longwood gardens and the Brandywine wine tasting just down the road.
