Lack of security

Went on a family trip with connecting rooms. Went out to explore and when we returned we discovered the door to each room never latched properly, completely leaving our stuff unsecured. Told the front desk and was advised “maintenance was supposed to fix those last week” and “we will have someone come check them out”. No one ever came to inspect the doors and we were not offered different rooms. Luckily we could lock ourselves into the rooms with the deadbolt. But the front desk staff was very apologetic.

Room was nice. However, it was very noisy. Could easily hear people in hallways. The people in rhe room next door to us sounded like they were in room with us. The door jambs need to be oiled/treated; in addition to hearing a door slam, you coukd hear the creak to open and the creak to close. We were not asked at time if checkout hiw iur stay was, if there were any issues, etc. Wouldn't recommend.

The facility was good, busy area and lots of people staying in the area as well. The bathroom was old with a toilet that was so low and small that it was uncomfortable.Breakfast was very good and staff was helpfull.

Property could use a bit more TLC. I must commend the wonderful housekeeping staff member that returned my wedding ring to the front desk for her honesty and kindness and the front desk staff for getting a hold of me asap.
