Purgatory Resort is a ski resort in the San Juan Mountains, Colorado. Purgatory offers over 90 trails, 11 chairlifts, and several terrain parks. Take the whole family to Purgatory for winter and enjoy activities, such as dog sledding, tubing, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowmobiling, and even ice climbing. There are several hotels in and near Purgatory Resort, so you can be sure to miss nothing during your stay at Purgatory.

Purgatory is located about 26 miles from the city of Durango. Durango is a great destination for a change of pace. Why not go shopping or visit one of the museums instead of sliding down those snowy hills around Purgatory? Durango is also perfect outside of winter. The nearby mountains and Colorado River make Durango great for the outdoorsy types.
