The hotel is in great shape for its age. Nice rooms, Everything was set up great.
Steam locomotive was 2 blocks away, which can be loud at times
I greatly enjoy the old west feel, as well as the bars and restaurants on the property. The Mahogany Grill is an excellent restaurant.

Great check in, great location, great hotel
The hotel is an historic property so you expect smaller rooms and bathrooms, but there is far too much furniture in the rooms. We stayed in 2 different rooms, 2 different nights and we were just cramped by the furniture. Though the pieces were beautiful! The most disappointing thing was that the restaurants and bar were closed 2 of the 3 days we were in Durango, due to short staffing. We heard this story all over Durango. Very frustrating to not know about the closures, prior to arrival. The check in our first night was wonderful- the second night we checked in the young girl at the front desk was abrupt and un-welcoming. You are the first face of the hotel service team- be nice.
Very accommodating with oversized parking
Well updated, pristine historic hotel!
Shower head too low and shower too small.
Great stay in an historic hotel. We did the Durango Silverton train ride, and the hotel held onto our bags and let us use there parking lot for the day! Wonderful customer service!
Love the historic items in the hotel. The room was beautiful. Staff Is super friendly and helpful.
The history of the hotel made you feel like you were transported back in time.
Beautiful historic lobby and rooms! Very nice staff!
Not very good customer service. I was told over the phone and at the front desk that I couldn't get a room that had not been occupied the night before because they were sold out. all while they had a sign out on the sidewalk saying they had rooms available for the night. No one was very welcoming. The room was fine but nothing special.
Such an amazing experience. Ever staff member was beyond exceptional
Room was nice. Wifi was great. I like the bars and restaurants! Great experience. Parking was down the street so that was my only negative but still it wasn’t that bad to walk a little.
