This is a great place to stay the rooms are clean with very little traffic noise. The breakfast that is prepared by Nucole is delicious and she is most accommodating to customers. Kassia at the front desk was very friendly and helped with all my needs. I have two Great Danes who travel wherever I go and this hotel had a great room, clean and close to areas for walking the dogs. I travel to Durango frequently and will always stay in this hotel.
Stayed over the Xmas holidays, and got a wonderful rate. Loved the pet friendly King room. It was small, but homey. Do not like the flooring because it makes the room colder. I checked in early, and the room was ready, BUT, the heater wasn't on and the room was freezing. Had it turned up on high for hours before it got comfy. I left for a couple of hours, and when we came back, it still wasn't warm. That was the main gripe. Other than that, the bed was nice and comfy, and all was well with the amenities... The staff was nice, but not as wonderful and caring as all the other reviews say. The breakfast was superb though. Nycole was really the nicest staff member we met... All in all, it was an okay stay, and will stay again, but....
We had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and bathroom was nice. It was quiet at night so we had no problem sleeping. The hot tub was clean and nice. Was a pleasant get away. Breakfast was great thanks to Nycole!
My husband travels for a living. He has stayed at alot of places. The staff and service as well as the cleanliness of the room is world class. Hot fresh breakfast every morning. Beautiful area. Very affordable. If you don't stay here when you visit Durango your doing yourself a disservice. Loved it here!
The first morning of our vacation, we went to get some breakfast. We were having issues with getting some cereal out of the dispenser and Nycole came to our rescue. She is super-friendly with a warm smile. She made us feel so welcome. She even offered our daughter help getting up in one of the tall bar seats. And she was able to give us some ideas for our trip while we are here.
Flew into Durango for a niece's wedding and stayed at the Quality Inn on N. Main. It was perfect for our needs; we stayed a total of 5 nights. Everything was clean; all the staff were polite and went above and beyond to be helpful. The food was very good and all was kept fresh and hot with Nycole's excellent service. She met us every morning at 6am with a smile on her face. The rooms were clean and stocked with extras for early morning tea/coffee in the room, plus bottled water. The Trolley to downtown is uber convenient from the Quality Inn; it was great to have this means of transportation.
We stayed here on our way back from the Grand Canyon. We were looking for something inexpensive and convenient. The Quality Inn Durango was exactly that: clean, functional, comfortable. What we were most surprised with was the service. The front desk manager was incredibly attentive and, Nicole, who managed the breakfast was simply divine. Not only was everything fresh and tasty, she even made eggs to order. This is an exceptional value.
We were allowed, reluctantly, to check in an hour early just after two-o-clock. Our room, on the ground floor, was a bit dreary, but we slept well. Luckily, we were able to sit and read in the sun by the (closed) swimming pool which backs onto the river. Breakfast was excellent, with eggs cooked to order. The Quality Inn is a long way from the centre of Durango, but is connected to town by the very efficient trolley bus service, although this stops running early in the evening once the seasons change. It is also near the walking/cycling trail along the River Animas.
Incredible scenery around hotel area just invites you to settle back and relax. Jared and his great staff then take over helping to fulfill your needs and challenges with a smile. The entire staff have made our stay( third year) completely satisfying and we leave planning for next years return!
The entire staff at the Durango, CO Quality Inn was extremely helpful but one person stood out. I briefly stuck my head in the lobby for 2 seconds. Kassi, the front desk person, smiled and said "hi" to me and I left. When got to our room Kassi was calling asking if I was looking for cookies! How did she know I was looking for cookies. And how did she know who I was and what room we were in? What Kassi did for us may be a small thing. But it's a big thing in many ways.
