I have stayed here before and wasn't real happy. This time through the place has made some changes. The staff was very nice and the hotel has cleaned up their act. Although the place is old, the room was clean and very comfortable. The price is very good for the Durango area. Parking was nice this time, last time I had to park at the opposite end from my room.

Right in Durango. Very sketchy hotel. Way overpriced.

Feel it is over priced. Tough getting to room via stairs. Cigarettes dumped on 2nd floor and stairway. Continental Breakfast not very good.

Breakfast was wonderful, waffles and cereal and such, AAA discount available, overall good place to stay on a budget

The motel room was clean and satisfactory but the continental breakfast was pretty sad, as was the breakfast room. We skipped in and went to a McDonalds.

ive stayed at this location several times and its always comfortable clean and a good value

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a nice surprise with a waffle machine. Over all a good expierence.

Cheap but you get what you pay for. Very small room.

Manager was very nice and helpful. He made a few suggestions for the places I wanted to visit. I stayed only one night because I was just passing through. Room was neat and clean. Location was on the main street and close to historic downtown. Would stay there again.

Our room was right by the laundry room and guest's hung out by our door so it was very loud really early in the morning. A bit over priced for what the room was

Located just north of the center of Durango, this hotel is reasonably close to the main sights. It's plain but comfortable.

Nice staff and easy to find in Durango! Cost was good on a budget.

Very unfriendly Clerk No amenities what so ever I tried to save some money for my company but the value price not worth it. Bed very uncomfortable. I guess you get what you pay for

It was ok, not anywhere close to the downtown area as the [...]agent suggested. The breakfast room was extremely tiny and with the cold nights, they were limited on blankets.

I was in town for business after making a long drive, just looking for a good nights sleep. The room was very small and worn, which didn't really bother me as I figured I just needed a nice bed. I laid back, put the comforter up to my nose and had the pleasure of smelling what must have been the guy who stayed in the room the night before's armpit...at least I hope it was his armpit. It was disgusting. There is no way they are cleaning those things inbetween guests stays.

small room, covers sheets old, no parking space,

The hotel was well managed, helpful, friendly. I gave it 4 stars instead of 3, because it was clean and the ease of service. Not anything upscale, but for the money I was very happy. We could hear the road noise at night, but again, for the price I was happy. I ran on the river trail in the mornings which took me right by the Double Tree. Double Tree is right on the river and I'm sure is much newer and nicer, but when I booked it was an extra $50 a night more than what I was paying. If the price were closer, I would opt for Double Tree next time. I would definitely choose this Econolodge over any of the other lower priced hotels in town. Locals had good things to say about it's reputation.

Clean, Friendly staff...... highly recommended. I will stay here again. I was staying to enjoy the slopes.

The employees at the hotel were very friendly. The rooms were always clean. There wasn't a microwave or a refrigerator as the description suggests. I would recommend this hotel only if you are staying for a night or two.

This is a basic budget hotel. Our rooms were clean and well appointed, if a bit small.
