room layout suited our needs, it was quiet and spacious. two bedrooms plus pull out sofa. it was too hot, we turned off heat and had to open door for hours.(on March 31St)! pillows not too swift either. but, free breakfast was nice bonus

Fantastic luxury hotel in prime Montreal location
I was very impressed with my experience at the Sofitel Montreal. The staff are incredibly pleasant, from Maxim with valet parking (who remembered my name) to Pauline at the front desk who informed me that as an Expedia (Orbitz) VIP member I was receiving a check out that was extended to 3:00 pm as well as upgraded room and premium wifi. I also loved the food and staff at the on-site restaurant, Renoir, particularly Thomas who was very charming and friendly. The rooms are spacious, airy, and bright. I loved the Lavin-branded toiletry amenities but the best part was the great bed--one of the best beds I've ever slept on in my life. The only issue I had was that there didn't seem to be turndown service by 8:00 p.m. so I had to call and request it. I found the rate I got on Orbitz to be very reasonable, all things considered, for a hotel of this caliber, and would most definitely return--in fact I hope to soon.
