Older hotel, showing its age. Rates are too high for the location (right on major highway) and quality. Air conditioner too loud, so opened windows (no screens) and listened to traffic all night. Continental breakfast included, but dining area small and congested, and only one person replenishing the food items.
Passing through on our way home to New Brunswick.... we forgot that everyone in the province of Quebec was on vacation at the same time, so we spent close to 2 hours trying to find a room for the night and found this one, not worth the money paid, we ended up paying for a king size suite where the air conditioner that was installed in the room was (mickey moused) into a wooden box inside a wall with aluminum duct tape to create and air duct that goes inside the wall.... WTF!! Building codes probably doesn't even permit this, it ran all night and barely cooled down the room, the down fall to a bad night sleep, it cost over $200 for the night, way over charged, complain the next morning, desk clerk did not seam to care
Due to a cancelled flight that was rebooked for the following day, I had to stay at a hotel near the airport. The options were limited as 4 flights were cancelled at the same time. After making a confirmed booking and receiving a confirmation number, I rang the hotel to request the airport shuttle. I was told that it would be 5 minutes. 30 minutes later I rang again. The person on the front desk could not find my booking and said there was no record of it. I explained that I had talked to someone at the desk 30 minutes previously, given him the booking confirmation number, and requested the shuttle. He continued to say that I had no booking. I continued to say that I did. This was not a pleasant exchange! After repeating my confirmation number numerous times, he said that he had now found my booking and would send the shuttle. He never apologized for his inability to find my booking or for the shuttle that never appeared. The shuttle finally arrived after another 15-20 minutes. All told, by this point it was well over an hour since my initial request for the shuttle and I had been traveling for over 24 hours. When I arrived at the hotel, I explained my frustration to the front desk staff and was told that he had no knowledge of what had gone on as it was someone else who had spoken to me. He said that he would relay my concerns to the manager who would contact me in the morning. Needless to say, I never heard from the manager. As to the condition of the room, the carpets were stained as was one of the armchairs. There was a hair on the wall of the shower and the lightbulbs in two of the lamps, one of which was a bedside lamp, were burned out. The bed, however, was surprisingly comfortable and the bedding was very clean. When I checked out, I again mentioned my dissatisfaction with the front desk the night before, the appalling shuttle service, and the total lack of communication among front desk staff. The woman at the desk said that she would let the manager know. This was a refrain!! Not surprisingly, I never heard from the manager although I was given her card. Booking the shuttle to take me from the hotel back to the airport was, however, uneventful and the shuttle departed the hotel on schedule. I travel a great deal for business and pleasure and will do my utmost never to stay at a Quality Inn. In short, "quality" is a misnomer. --Disgruntled
I booked a suite room. The room was newly renovated and spacious, as well as clean. Breakfast buffet offered was typical of hotels/inns of the same class: waffle maker, a variety of breads, cereal, egg, sausage, yogurt, and fruits. Rate was decent, compared to ones closer to the city.
Its a decent spot to stay just for overnight. They put me in a room facing the road and I couldn't sleep at all during the night because of the cars driving by. The door is not insulated at all, so all the cold air and noise goes right through. Lucky for me i tried to raise the heat in the room and it doesn't work... so i was shivering all night and got sick the next day. The room overall is nice and clean with minor mold in the cracks in the bathroom. Navigating through the hotel was a bit difficult since all the doors looks the same so its hard to identify the elevator and the emergency exit door on the second level.
The hotel was very run down. Soiled dirty carpets and the whole place had an odour. Especially the rooms , they all smelled moldy. We were there for 3 nights and our room was never cleaned properly. Had to ask every night for extra towels. The breakfast was disappointing. The breakfast staff were very nice. We paid over $200/night as it was the only hotel in the area that we could get, but would never stay here again. If you need a quick stop over and can get it cheaper it would be fine. But very upset about spending this much money for such a disappointing expericence.
Old, smelly, dirty rooms. Beds never made, not enough towels and never vacuumed during our 3 night stay. Breakfast was sad. I'm giving this one star because the ap makes me. Also, the staff in the breakfast bar were doing the best they could with what they had.
This was one of the strangest hotel experiences I've had in quite some time. At check in, the manager was very nervous and oddly hostile, refusing to look me in the eye and rushing like he had to be somewhere else. I thought that maybe he did, so no problem, but he was there later. No big deal, really, on that - if everything else had been ok. The hotel is VERY run down with old, old stained carpets throughout and in the room - the room was nonsmoking, but absolutely reeked of smoke. I guess they never properly sanitized it and didn't change out the smoke-retaining carpet and drapes. The bed might as well have been a block of wood. The entire experience was creepy and weird. The only reason I didn't give it one star is that the room seemed reasonably clean for the condition it was in. Housekeeping is doing the best they can with what they have been given. The hotel should not be called Quality Inn and needs a total renovation.
We had 3 rooms and all 3 had a stink. It was difficult to fall asleep because of the odour. When complained, they tried to mask the smell with room freshener, which made it worst. The breakfast, however, was pretty good. For the price, the hotel isn't worth it
I selected this hotel strictly on its proximity to the Montreal airport. We had an early flight to catch and did not want any traffic complications to deal with. It had excellent access to the highway leading to the airport. This is a standard airport hotel, with small but clean rooms. It has very friendly staff and a large breakfast room. It has ample parking and is quite quiet. I was only there for about 8 hours, but it definitely provided a good sleeping environment. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
