Red Roof Inn Detroit - Troy

It was okay. I wish the room at least had a coffee maker. Even the most basic rooms have those even at motels. Other than that it was okay.

1. Safe in room not functional. Called desk and response was "We don't do safes anymore." So we had to carry our valuables everywhere we went. 2. TV picture blurry and only partially fills screen. Called desk and event was "noted" but no action to replace or repair the TV. 3. Mold in bathtub corners and on soap dish. 4. Wall to wall carpet on floor was continually damp. Probably laid directly on concrete. 5. Refrigerator door hard to close due to large block of freezer ice. 6. Air conditional compressor noise was very disturbing. 7. A light bulb was missing. Called desk but none available. Noted, but never replaced. 8. Bath water was lukewarm; not hot enough to bathe comfortably. 9. No amenities like shampoo or a hair dryer. 10. Left side sink cracked. 11. No soap dish at sink. Had to place soap on paper towel. 12. Had I not paid for the room, we would have moved out the next morning.

Check in went smooth very friendly service as always.

We had stayed at this Red Roof Inn in March and were pleased at the comfort and clean rooms. Great Service at the front desk. This time it was like a completely different hotel. The staff was still very pleasant and helpful but the rooms were worn down. Paint was missing in the bathroom, we had to move drawers around in the dresser to get the lights and tv to work because the ONLY plug was behind the dresser. The coffee maker didn't work, water wouldn't flow through...kind of like the pipe on the inside was broken. Very disappointed with our stay. This is the second Red Roof Inn we are not returning to in the Troy/Sterling Heights area. Time to look for another chain to stay at.

If your looking for "me time" or just spending a business night or two away from home, the Troy Red Roof Inn is the place to be. From the time I checked in, the staff were very helpful. The room was very clean and everything was in perfect working order. A very relaxing evening all the way around.

Clean decent place for the price. The wifi was awful but the staff was friendly.

Stayed for 2 nights. Check in was fine, room had a smell when I would first walk in, but went away, or I got used to it after a few minutes. Beds we just ok, by the second night I was more uncomfortable.

We went to the Lions game, the hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. would stay again

The hotel was okay for 1 day. The location was not great and it was not safe to walk around.

Great value for your money. Very helpful staff, very clean and updated room

I was in town to film a commerical. The location was close to the hotel.

The room over achieved my expectations for the price.

Nice clean rooms, very nice staff! Good location. Close to highway. Very very very easy access to highway. Close to good restaurants and shopping!

The hotel is more than adequate for my needs. The girl at the desk was a little slow.

We only were staying for one night to see an artist who was in town for a concert. The room had everything we needed minus an iron. The bed was comfortable but we had just been driving for a long time so anything seemed great at that point. If we are ever in town again I would stay here.

Was clean and comfortable! I enjoyed the stay, it was quiet and the staff was very helpful. Will stay there again.

Superior King room has plenty of room and big desk that faces TV. Exterior door is good for getting equipment and computers in and out.

It was good overall. The only complaint was they wanted to me to charge $15 for late checkout. But later they extended till 1:00 PM with no charge.

It was ok....needed a fridge..coffee maker. ..and hair dryer

Very clean smelled good very friendly staff overall worth it for the money!
