The Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport

Very quiet beautiful property and awesome staff. Great place for a late night or early morning flight.

I wish there had been more options for food, and it is a little confusing how to actually exit the property. If I had been flying out of that side it would have been great, but unfortunately I had to shuttle to my gate.

We stayed at the Westin for the second time in several months. The first stay was excellent, but this time, the cleanliness was a problem. The glasses in the bathroom were dusty, and the towels had hair on them--one of them actually had a matted lump! I also wish there had been a vanity kit because I forgot to bring Q-tips, and hotels generally have them available in a kit in the bathroom. The Westin is convenient, but I was very disappointed with the cleanliness this time around, especially for the price charged.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Seriously, this is the perfect way to catch an early morning flight out of DTW. We live two hours north, so arriving the night before, getting a good sleep, and being able to walk right out to the gate was unbeatable. We even chose the valet parking so that on our return late at night, we could get the vehicle quickly. A couple of suggestions: 1) Realize that the security checkpoint in the hotel has a long line (with no TSA pre option), so either line up early (especially when the DTW tram is out of service) or do what we did--go outside and curb check the bags); and 2) Call the valet beforehand to avoid a wait for your car.

The check in line was lengthy but moved quickly and the staff was very friendly.

Nice hotel...very quiet considering that it is located at the airport.

Convenient and very close to Detroit Airport, so kind staff, clean room.

Very nice hotel and convenient. Was clean and Quiet

Everyone was helpful and the customer service was excellent. We would love to go back if we are ever in the area again.

A great experience. The restaurant onsite was delicious! All future travel from Detroit will include a stay here. Highly recommend you stay here.

Excellent hotel, staff and room service, though I was disappointed to find the bathroom garbage can with trash..

For a rather expensive hotel you would expect free WiFi. If not free at least cheaper than $15/day.

Comfortable room, great service and location at the airport. We had an early morning flight out of DTW, and this hotel’s location made it super easy.

Be forewarnded: unless you're flying on Delta or a foreign carrier, you will have to take the shuttle to your flight. I arrived/departed on American, which flies out of the North Terminal, as do all other domestic carriers except Delta. The hotel is connected only to the McNamara terminal, so allow extra time to wait for and ride the shuttle. Also, the hotel is undergoing major renovations, which made it confusing to get to the lobby and back to the front floor.

We stayed here to avoid traffic and bad weather in the morning. I could sleep until six, instead of getting up at four. We had a friend drop us at the hotel the night before, and he'll pick us up when we get home. That way we didn't have to spend money on airport parking. Something we would of had to do when leaving home at five o'clock in the morning. That paid for the cost of the room. Everything else was good. The room was good. The service was good. The food in the restaurant was, well it was fine, but a bit pricey. That's to be expected at an airport hotel.

I never see any bad Services bad, we did not get the room we requested, as well as I waited for more than two hours I waited for the bus at the airport and came taxi

The price I paid for this room was outrageous and should have included parking and breakfast!
