The Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport

Be forewarnded: unless you're flying on Delta or a foreign carrier, you will have to take the shuttle to your flight. I arrived/departed on American, which flies out of the North Terminal, as do all other domestic carriers except Delta. The hotel is connected only to the McNamara terminal, so allow extra time to wait for and ride the shuttle. Also, the hotel is undergoing major renovations, which made it confusing to get to the lobby and back to the front floor.

We stayed here to avoid traffic and bad weather in the morning. I could sleep until six, instead of getting up at four. We had a friend drop us at the hotel the night before, and he'll pick us up when we get home. That way we didn't have to spend money on airport parking. Something we would of had to do when leaving home at five o'clock in the morning. That paid for the cost of the room. Everything else was good. The room was good. The service was good. The food in the restaurant was, well it was fine, but a bit pricey. That's to be expected at an airport hotel.

I never see any bad Services bad, we did not get the room we requested, as well as I waited for more than two hours I waited for the bus at the airport and came taxi

The price I paid for this room was outrageous and should have included parking and breakfast!

Clean, convenient, and well organized. After check our, walk down the hall to the airport check-in. Pleasant lobby and rooms. Not cheap, however. If you have to be stuck in an airport hotel, this one is a surprisingly nice experience.

Very relaxing and calming decor. We wished we had been informed of the ability to obtain a security check pass to open up potential for other restaurants earlier in our stay though as the hitel is very limited

Very pleasant, easy, comfortable, quiet, clean, perfect for business traveler.

Great location and staff. Rooms very clean and comfortable!

It's a very nice hotel right in the airport and very convenience to Delta Airline check in. I will come back.

It was a package deal, the hotel was excellent, the car rental was satisfactory, but the airline reservation left much to be desired. As for recommending it to a friend, I would except for the airline travel arrangements.

Very clean. Rooms very comfortable. Quiet. Limited access to terminal, not as convenient as expected.

Perfect for early or late flight. Nice for a quick interlude.

Let me start by first saying that the photos on the website are accurate. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms were nice. Everything is clean, comfortable and as represented, except for the restaurant in the hotel. Literally the worst food that I have ever eaten. It was VERY expensive and is virtually your only option. For 50 dollars my husband and I got a grilled veggie sandwich, a small pizza, and ONE cocktail. Not one cocktail each but only I got a cocktail. 50 bucks was the total, before the tip mind you. After that experience we decided to make our way into the terminal to try our food luck there as there were NO other dining choices in the hotel itself. No vending at all and only a small store that sold a crazy amount of indigestion relief items (which should have been my tip off) and a few local snack items. Since you are entering an airport terminal there is a check point that you will need to show your ID, give your room number and go through the pat down. It seemed a little excessive simply to get a decent meal and a cup of coffee but I honestly understand and frankly was that desperate for decent food at this point. You are only allowed to do that once so choose what you want to do wisely. Getting food in the terminal went fine and we made our way back to our room. We did order the breakfast room service because we both thought, "how badly can you screw up eggs?" but it too was pretty gross. Everything about it was bad, bad, bad and really expensive. However, if you plan to stay at this hotel and not eat, its a great place. The staff was excellent. They were helpful, professional, always courteous, and polite. I mentioned in passing to the front desk while checking out how terrible the food was and she gave us $25 off of our bill. That was much appreciated and frankly it isn't the staffs fault that the food tasted like it was from a high school cafeteria. The pool/whirlpool area was nice and well stocked with towels.

Great place to stay to attend the Manchester United/ Real Madrid soccer game at The Big House in Ann Arbor.

Very convenient to have the hotel right in the airport concourse without even having to go outside and in the morning be able to walk right from the hotel lobby into the airport was fantastic.

After having my flight to NYC cancelled, I spent a night at the Westin and was impressed by its amenities and ambiance. The hotel is directly off of the airport terminal, making it incredibly convenient. All staff was professional and helpful. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, and the exercise room was clean and efficient...they even have a program at the hotel where you can rent workout clothes for $5 to use during your stay. My only two gripes were A) I was given a handicapped room with a faulty shower that leaked all over the floor with no tub, and B) the minibar is INCREDIBLY expensive (I arrived at the hotel after the restaurant had closed, and my 3-item minibar "dinner" was the price of a 5-star restaurant!!!). All things considered, though, an incredibly convenient, well-thought out hotel with great amenities.

The Westin is located a short walk away from the Detroit airport, upon entering the hotel, you are suddenly transported into a resort town. The hotel was fantastic and even though you're attached to the airport, you NEVER hear a plane. Perfect!

I was stuck in Detroit with my wife and two small children due to a winter storm. We were exhausted after an 14-hour flight from Asia, and the Westin was perfect. It is right in the mix at the airport terminal and couldn't be easier to get to. They even have Delta kiosks and a dedicated security checkpoint right in the lobby.

This is the perfect place to stay if you are leaving for an early morning flight get in relax in their Heavenly Bed get up in the morning take a Heavenly Shower and then get a great meal in their restaurant before your flight. Doesn't get any better than that.

A very covenant Place to stay and fly with Delta Airlines.

Thank you for your feedback - it is much appreciated. I apologize for any inconveniences associated with the renovation. I certainly hope you enjoyed the newly renovated room, and we hope to be able to welcome you back to experience our new Reflections restaurant and lounge after our renovations are completed (projected August 2017).
