Didn't get the room I requested and paid for, room was so dusty I woke up congested and was then charged a fee for smoking when I NEVER smoked in the room. Won't even return phone calls to discuss complaints.

We really enjoyed our stay. We only had a couple of issues. We couldn't get through to room service and our room could have been a little cleaner. The staff however were stellar. Everyone there is so helpful and friendly. We will be back.

We had a wonderful experience. The staff was excellent and very welcoming and warm...they helped us feel right at home.

I've stayed here before and everything was good this time until our last night. The room next door seemed to have 5 or 6 people that came back at 2 in the morning to have a hotel party. Even after repeated calls to the front desk and them assuring us that hotel security would take care of the noise, they were still be obnoxious and loud until we checked out at 630 in the morning.

I grew up in Detroit and wanted to stay at a downtown hotel. They have refurbished this wonderful old hotel to almost the way I remembered when I would walk through the lobby as a kid. I will definitely stay here on my next trip.

Worth noting that the only hotel parking is valet parking which is $30/day so if you arrive in the evening and leave the following morning it will add $60 to your stay. The breakfast buffet was lovely, but adds another $13 per person. Parking yourself in one of the decks or lots nearby will be much cheaper but they could be full during certain times like a major concert or sporting event. Otherwise an awesome place.

Doubletree downtown Detroit is nice, comfortable. Staff is professional and helpful. Rooms are comfortable but inconsistent; not all have a microwave...this time, mine didn't have basic water glasses either night despite the room being straightened up while I was out on business...not a huge deal, but just inconsistent and a bit of a hassle. Really need better night time food menu!!!

Although inconsistent features, the rooms are large with great beds. Most had microwave and refrigerator, some didn't have microwave. Many hotels and this one too just don't "get it" when it comes to TV - the available channels were rather poor...and the "business center" in the lobby is just a very dirty computer on a desk facing the wrong way with a printer next to it...very odd. Strangely, although the hotel has a great breakfast (not free though) and a starbucks in the lobby, there's no real "dinner restaurant service" at the hotel - the restaurant is closed up at night and food is served in the "Round Bar", with a menu so limited one exhausts the variations in 3 days; and...once you pay the bill and tip (drinks cost a fortune!), you find a surprise $2.00 additional unannounced gratuity added on to your bill for each meal at the Round Bar. You can order expensive room service if you want to mortgage it, with more menu items (weirdly), but the food was not much better. There is virtually no parking downtown near the hotel, and other restaurants, bars and attractions require driving or a cab or the hotel shuttle bus. Regardless, the hotel staff is splendid and is dealing with what the Doubletree has them doing, so don't blame them.

I love this hotel. Very clean and professional and perfect for a weekend get a way as a couple. You can walk to all the city's hot spots! Great food and entertainment and right in the hotel as well.

OUr stay exceeded our expectations! From the minute we arrived, the staff couldn't do enough for us. The hotel was the cleanest I have been in for a long time!! even the wait staff and bartenders were exemplary. We cant wait to go back. The shuttle is a great idea and the people of Detroit we friendly and inviting!!. I am writing a letter to the GM of the hotel and to the chamber of commerce of Detroit. Antoinette, Adam, Thomas, Ken, Jasmine and Jodie provided us with a Wonderful experience

The hotel has been masterfully redone to the grandeur it once had. The room was huge and clean. The hotel restaurant was great. We stayed to be close to Red Wings game, which it was.

Hotel was great, staff was great! All around nice hotel stay!

the hotel was very clean and was in a great location and the staff was very helpful and made moving around detriot great.

The room was excellent, the price was 30.00 higher than the person checking in at the same time as me, otherwise I have no complaints, the guy who checked me in was great, friendly and fast and the valet staff were excellent and found me a car to get to my event at MGM quickly.

Very happy with my stay. Nice place. Breakfast buffet was just ok

the room were perfect and the staff was helpful and this hotel had a driver that take you anyware in the city that you need to visit and come and pick you up when you call the food at the hotel was great. every body that work at the hotel was so helpful I cant said enough about this hotel just stay there and see for yourself.

My overall experience was good at this hotel. The location was ideal. It was three minutes walk to the convention center. Saved me a lot of time

I stayed at this Doubletree while I was taking a continuing education class in Detroit. The staff was very courteous and helpful! The shuttle service was also great-the drivers were friendly, and this was a great help, because I don't know my way around town and it was great not having to stress on how to get to class. I would definitely stay here again!!!

Our stay at the hotel was nice, we went to detriot to see a hockey game. It was great that we could walk to the game and back, the experience was fantastic we will stay there again.

Courteous and helpful. Staff very efficient, restaraumts on site excellent!
