Don't ever ever ever go to this trashy hotel The front desk lady was drunk. Air was drinking in our face. It smells like mildew none of the ice machines worked. Dark. The Staff, like so many Hotels..make or break your stay! The Staff was friendly and accommodating. The Breakfast was all you hope for in a " breakfast included" option. Plenty of protein options, hot and cold egg items, sausage, yogurts, breads, bagels, cereal waffles etc. The gym was perfect for someone obsessed with getting their 15k steps in and also do a free weight workout! The elevator was out at my time..but, I used the opportunity to replace stair master workout. The fridge and micro, iron and board all made my stay perfect!

I like the most the event i went to was in walking distance. If i need to got any additional places, the hotel offer a shuttle service which the best thing ever. What i didn't like the elevator was out of service and i had to carry my luggage to the 3rd floor and the stairway temperature was about 90 degree. I thought I was going to pass out.

Nice stay and friendly staff

In general it was a nice stay, friendly employees and free shuttle to and from our concert. Only issues were that the carpet could use a cleaning and there was a funky smell coming from the room AC.

The area made me question if it was safe. The hotel elevator was broken and I was put on the 3rd floor with no kind of discount offered or given. It was 90 degrees outside and the heat was on full blast in the stairway, so that was not an easy clim with luggage. The smell in the hallways and stairwells were horrible! The room was nice and you could tell that they put air freshener in there. The breakfast was good with many options. I do have to travel back to the area and found somewhere else to stay. Will not be back.

Thoroughly disappointed with the experience. The hotel seemed to be plagued by maintenance issues, starting with the broken elevator that was out of order for the entire duration of my stay. Not only was it inconvenient, but it also raised some concerns about the hotel's overall upkeep. To make matters worse, the ice machine on my floor was also broken, and housekeeping failed to clean my room for multiple days. The lack of attention to detail was evident in the stains on the sheets, which were clearly not changed regularly. The most unpleasant aspect, however, was the strong smoky mildew smell that permeated my room. It was overwhelming and made my stay even more uncomfortable. Given the numerous issues I experienced, I would not recommend the Comfort Inn Detroit Downtown to anyone. The hotel's inability to provide basic amenities and maintain a clean environment fell far short of my expectations. Unless they address these issues, I would advise potential guests to look elsewhere.

Property needs a renovation. Cement, tile, and carpet all stained from foot traffic. Chipped tile, cracked and poorly patched drywall shows it's age and poor condition. Elevator doesn't work. etc.
