I will definitely stay here again. Rooms were comfy and staff were helpful. Food was good and reasonably priced.

We stayed here for a wedding and the place is WONDERFUL

Overall very nice.... I think they should offer continental breakfast..or something... complimentary coffee after 9:am

We enjoy this hotel very much. It's a beautiful location just minutes from Plymouth & Canton for shopping but out in the country so the scenery is lovely & the atmosphere peaceful. The resort itself has lots of character with new & old charming buildings - not your typical box building hotel. The staff is very friendly and the rooms clean & comfortable - nice flat screen TV's, free internet and a fridge. We were able to get one of the rooms that have an outdoor balcony overlooking the gardens - very nice! We really like the restaurant too - had a delicious gourmet dinner and breakfast in the morning.

The hotel was well situated for my business trip and was bright, well appointed, and well maintained. The room was nicely furnished with an armoire, desk, and comfortable bed. The bathroom and shower were very nice. The room was quiet, which is important to me. The staff was just okay; it seems like every time I needed something at the front desk or the restaurant, they were busy talking among themselves or on the phone--not always with customers--and at intrusively loud volumes. I guess service standards have slipped across the economy, or maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I don't like the feeling that I'm intruding on the personal lives of staff by bothering them to provide the customer service they're being paid to provide.

Hotel appeared to be understaffed in the restaurant and front desk. Front desk personnel was rude and did not work with online reservation vendor smoothly regarding the reservation. Overall under-delivered against the description provided.

This is my fourth time staying at the hotel. Great atmosphere, fantastic hotel staff and room service. My newborn daughter absolutely loved the pool. Very close to all the attractions and shopping places.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and the hotel was very clean and tidy. The restaurant, 5ive, proved to be a delicious venue for dining. The grouper was particularly good.

It is a beautiful hotel in a luxurious setting. Restful and calming. The only issue I had was that I left a pair of earrings on the bathroom sink when I checked out and 2 hours later when I spoke with the gracious lobby staff, they told me that housekeeping reported they could not find them. This was a bit disturbing for me since they were a gift from my granddaughter and I knew exactly when and where I left them. That is a people problem, the hotel is awesome.

I stayed at this hotel with my family for a wedding, which was also held at the adjoining chapel and banquet facility. I was traveling with my husband and 2 year old. We really enjoyed ourselves. The grounds are beautiful, including the golf course and a beautiful small koi pond/waterfall in the courtyard that my daughter really enjoyed walking around. I actually got her to hang out there for an entire hour! The restaurant in the hotel has good food (including Mac n Cheese!), was reasonably priced for hotel food (much cheaper than we expected), and had friendly servers. The rooms were clean and large. We had two queen beds, and had plenty of room for the pack-n-play and all our other suitcases and bags. The room also had a mini-fridge and microwave, which is a must for a toddler who needs "hot milky" to get to sleep. There was also free wi-fi and parking, which was pleasantly surprising since nice hotels usually rip you off for those. Check-in and check-out were fast and easy, and the front desk was helpful and friendly. Altogether, if we end up again in the Detroit area, this is definitely where we will stay! The location made it so convenient for our family, since we had the wedding in the same facility. The area is safe and not densely populated, which made it very relaxing. There was also a pretty indoor pool that we never made it to, but it looked nice.

This hotel was perfect! My son who will be a grad student in the fall at the University of Michigan and I spent two nights at the Inn. The hotel was a quick 15 minute drive from the University. After two hectic days on the campus looking for housing, the Inn was a pleasant retreat.

Hotel was OK[...]. For $138 the near Embassy Suites type room (without a free breakfast)was acceptable but if I would have paid the $185 price I would not have been happy. Next time I'd go to the Embassy Suites down the road and come to St. John's to play golf. BTW the $30 breakfast(room service) wasn't eaten because it was plastic like and overcooked.

Wonderful. Beautiful hotel, spotless, great service, great restaurant, lovely grounds.

This hotel, a former seminary, has been carefully restored and re-purposed for guests, seminars, weddings and other special events. The on-site Five Mile Restaurant was convenient and reasonably priced. The location was about a thirty minute ride from DFW metro airport, downtown Detroit and also close to U of MI, BIG BLUE. We enjoyed using the hotel as a base camp while we visited relatives and found our room comfy, clean, and the staff helpful and friendly! We'll definitely stay at the Inn whenever we return to MI.

In town for a family funeral, so looking for a clean and quiet place to stay. The Inn @ SJ was that and more. Stayed in an Exec Suite with my 13 year old daughter and my brother. Appreciated having a microwave and refrig, two TV's and free Internet. Room was clean, shower spacious, bed was comfortable ++. Overall a great place to stay. Room was dark---had to turn on all of the lights and still seemed dark. (Plenty of daylight in the bedroom.) Nice to have two furnaces to control temperature. Reccomend the room service coffee, pool was clean and can't say enough good things about 5ive....Great food, great service and a 'value' (good prices). [...]

Our room did not have a comfortable bed and featured worn out towels. Our biggest complaint was that there was no cold water. We were scalded. When we complained, they wanted to move us to another room on Thanksgiving which didn't work in our schedule. I am requesting a partial refund for this bad experience

We had issues with the check-in staff. These were resolved to our satisfaction but we wished the front desk had been more helpful on our first day. The room was well appointed and very quiet. Other than the uninformed front desk we had a great stay. The facility is beautiful.

I was traveling on business, and did not spend a great deal of time in the hotel. However, the room and the service were very good. The food in the hotel resturaunt was quite good but a little on the pricey side. Also, the hotel borders a very nice golf course and package deals are available. Too bad I did not have the opportunity to try it out.

This hotel is an Old Seminary--converted into a hotel and convention center. Backdrop scenery is a golf course. Staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and well kept. Nice resataurant in the facility--food reasonably priced.Would stay there again and recommend to all.[...]

Excellant hotel. Will stay there often. Great dining at 5ive and very good staff. The bathroom shower could have been cleaner and better lit and the hairdryer was permanently on low.
