I chose the Livingston Comfort Inn because it was a good halfway point between our home in Texas and my son's university in Georgia, where he is beginning his freshman year. We left Texas on the morning of Sept. 7th and arrived at the hotel that evening. I was baffled that they showed no reservation for us. Further checking revealed that I had made our reservation for the 25th of Sept. rather than the 7th. My online browser had refreshed and returned to the default date of the 25th without me knowing it. It was a non-cancel-able, non-transferable reservation. I paid again for our room that night. My credit card statement showed that I was charged twice for my one night stay. This began a series of phone conversations with the General Manager of the hotel and Orbitz. I assured the hotel that we would be glad to stay there numerous times over the next four years while my son is in school in Georgia, if only they would refund one of my payments. They continued to refuse. Orbitz tried as well, but the hotel refused to budge. I will not stay at this hotel again, but will choose another in my future trips through this area. They have no desire to please their customers. They took two payments from me for a one night stay, and continually refused to make it right.

If you need to stay in Livingston, it wi get the job done

My dad and I stayed 1 night to beak our travel time in half. The check-in staff was friendly, the check out staff were...behind the counter and seemingly distracted. Continental breakfast was sub-par, but there was a BK and a McD's right there. While the hotel was clean and comfortable, I was frustrated by the fact that I booked a non-smoking room, and was placed in a smoking room. It was late, we were exhausted, so i did not complain or ask for another room. Just pay attention if you stay here. I assume this is a pet-friendly hotel as we heard a dog barking in a room a few doors down from ours at midnight when we checked in. We did not hear it when we went to bed though.

We were in town for our son's orientation at UWA. The hotel was within minutes of the campus. It was clean and comfortable. They also offered breakfast not just continental. We didn't stay for this as we did not have time but looked to be okay.

Customer service from the beginning was poor, reception didn't even greet us with a "hello"! Just gave us our keys and didn't even further acknowledge our presence in front of her. I can see she was more focused on doing her homework or something than making us feel welcome to this establishment. The hotel had signs up that they were under renovations but we neither saw or heard them going on with the execptions of 2 other signs up that let informed us that the POOL and the FITNESS ROOM were both CLOSED! eeeecK ....That's why we chose it...not again and I DO NOT recommend it to anyone!!!!!

Nice and clean, sleeping was easy. Close to my destination.
