We pulled over at this hotel on the way from texas, because we were too tired to keep going. it is located off the interstate but there is no restaurants or anything around. The hotel was very outdated, the front desk staff were not the friendliest and the hotel just looked unclean. This hotel accepted cash which most hotels do not do that unless it is one of those hotels you can rent by the hour if you know what I mean.... it was interior corridors but the hallways were dark and smelled old... the room was ok but again it just didn't look or feel clean. We only slept there for a few hours but I didn't feel very safe there. They have a sign that they serve breakfast but I didn't eat there.... when we checked out they just took our room cards and that's it not even thank you for staying or anything.....this hotel does not represent Choice hotels in a Good way.... I would not recommend this hotel if you are driving thru eutaw I strongly recommend stopping in Tuscaloosa or a city after eutaw because this is not a place you should stay.
I had mechanical issues and wound up stranded. This hotel has treated me wonderfully. From allowing the mobile mechanic to work on my vehicle in their parking lot, to asking if I’m ok every time they saw me. I will definitely stay here again. The room is clean and spacious, the bed is comfy and the bathroom was clean. All of the staff were polite and helpful.
We were very happy to found a place to stop and to sleep after a long way with the car but... As the bed didn't smell like flowers...my husband was kidding me about the cleaning...until we found a toy for children into the bed sheets... Disgusting!!! Nothing has been changed!!! You've better drive a little more if you wanna find clean sheets...
My husband booked this room for our weekend at the Bama/LSU game. Room was decent but the cigarette smell was bad. The air conditioner would kick off and on all night instead of a constant fan on . It woke me almost everytime. When I come back to the area I will not stay again. But you do get what you pay for , I have stayed in better /nicer place for the same price.
Long drive and greatly needed rest. Found this hotel and found pleasant staff even as late as it was. Room was comfortable and clean and my waffle, coffee and juice the next morning were greatly appreciated. Excellent overall value for the service I received.
I was not at all impressed with the check in process. The hotel was very outdated and parts in varying states of disrepair. The room was large and fairly clean but wreaked of smoke and air freshener. The room furnishing were old and not as pictured. The phone had a red light on it that blinked non stop. We had to unplug it. We tried to improve the situation but could not since we booked through a third party. We basically only slept here as our activities kept us away through the day. Dissatisfied.
Stopped on a road trip late at night. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. However, the room we were given was across from two that were getting worked on with hammers after 11 pm. My husband let the workers know that we were across the hall and we didn't hear them again. So that ended up being okay. But the place was definitely not full, so why give a customer the one right by construction. All in all, it was a fine stop.
This place was nice to be in the area it was. The check in process was quick and easy. The room was surprising, it was large and up to date. The only complaint I would say I had was the shower. It felt more like a pressure washer then a shower.
Easy access from the highway. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great shower. Adequate free breakfast in the morning. If you are looking for a pristine property, do not stay here as it is an older motel. There is a great family diner across the street--don't miss it.
My family and I decided to stop in Eutaw to end the first leg of a road trip. Econo Lodge was the only hotel with a name we recognized so we decided to give it a try. One of the things that we look for in a h(m)otel is if the rooms are on the inside or outside. Surprisingly this Econo Lodge had rooms on the inside (they normally don't). This brand of hotel must've changed their building design because it was much better than I expected. The hotel and rooms were mostly clean. One thing I can't stand is hair in the towels and there was hair in a couple of the towels that were in our room. There were a few structural flaws throughout the room but all in all this was a decent place to lay our heads. The continental breakfast consisted of typical hotel waffles, muffins, bagels, cereal, and oatmeal packets. Their juice machine was broken so there was a jug of oj and milk in a cooler. Across from the breakfast area there was a fitness zone. It was just an open space with three machines. The staff was cordial but their attire was very relaxed. The morning front desk clerk had a bonnet on her head as if she just rolled out of bed. There is a Subway and a chicken restaurant in the two gas stations in front of the hotel. I would give this place a thumbs up for an affordable yet decent place to stay.
