Wyndham Ocean Walk

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The hotel staff was excellent in every way. They went out of their way to accommodate our confusing reservation.

The room, hallways, and elevators appeared very "tired" looking and the room was way over priced by hundreds of dollars. The $25.00 breakfast of a sandwich and a bottle of juice was ridiculous! The JW Marriott in Orlando costs much less and is immaculate and their $25.00 breakfast is a hot all you can eat full breakfast. The pools and the lazy rivers are filled with warm water and non-glass drinks are allowed in all pools. There are wait staff everywhere. We won't be returning to the Ocean Walk anytime soon.

We had two suites - both very dirty, even the walls needed to be cleaned, hair in the shower. Went to use the coffee maker and found an old filter and coffee with mold growing on it. Their "restaurant" is very limited, the only bar they had was outside next to the pool and because of the cold, was never open. The "mini golf" consisted of a tiny area inside the lazy river with two holes. The key cards to both the rooms rarely worked and had to be re-keyed or re-issued several times, although we only stayed three nights. The key card for parking was a mystery to most guests, as a security agent had to be posted there almost constantly to help them/us open the gate.

This was a great location. There were a couple of things that were unexpected - I didn't know I would be in a suite (which was nice) that would require a deposit (unexpected!). I also was not told that there wouldn't be maid service. I also didn't receive a receipt! I didn't realize this until I was at the airport so I don't know if that was somehow my oversight or theirs. So the location and room were great - suite complete with appliances and all, but too much was not communicated in advance. Now knowing this, though, I would stay there again. It was still worth it.

Very strong odor in room - believe it was mildew Bathroom not clean. Hair in drain and black hand prints Hung a bathing suit in room and it never dried Not at all like shown on line. Very disappointing and if there had been an alternative we certainly would’ve taken it Did not reflect well on the hotel or on Orbitz

FIRST 2 DAYS NO A/C IN ROOM UNTIL FINAL 2 DAYS I FINALLY GET A/C TO WORK AGAIN!!!!

We stayed 6 days, 5 nights. It is convenient to everything and you don't need a car while you're there. We stayed on the beach side and the view was spectacular all day long. In the evening you're in the shade and it's nice.

Great place.. but I would say way to many really old people there.. almost felt like retirement center..

We paid $141 a night for 2 people. The bathroom sink was plugged up. Light in kitchen burnt out. Stove didn't work. Toilet screeched. They did fix. 2nd night more problems. Light fixture in kitchen fell down. Problem with blind. Won't return.

Location is excellent Wish ther was something better close by.

Our trip began with an hour and a half wait at registration followed by a sales pitch appointment for time shares in order to receive a parking pass. Didn't get room hours later til after 6pm. Even worse experience w same issue for our friends. 2/2 oceanfront room and amenities were nice and good for families but the hotel was literally an animal house movie every evening. Hotel seemed to do very little such as checking hotel keys at the elevators to control it.

This is a very nice place to stay as a couple or with a family. We really like the location because we hate having to drive everywhere we want to go when on vacation. Connected to the hotel is a small shopping plaza with many places to eat. Your also connected to the boardwalk and you can walk to Joe's Crab Shack.

Our objective is to be on the beach within easy walking distance of the center of activity. The Wyndham provides that, with internal access to the Ocean Walk. Other plusses include large pools, tubing pool, easy beach access, large garages, plenty of elevators, flat screen TVs. We had a roomy quiet ocean front one bedroom, full kitchen/laundry with nice balcony. Breakfast is not provided, but there is an nice diner and IHOP across the street. There are two types of rentals, timeshare and motel. Signing up for the timeshare sales pitch is not required. Maid service only comes in at the end of stay which can be good if you don't like the idea of strangers in your room. The only negatives were, except for the new king bed, the furnishings were showing their age, dryer bearings screeched and garbage disposal didn't work. Neither my Android phone or tablet could see the Assus WiFi router in the South Lobby but the Netgear router in the North Lobby was easily accessible. (Only Timeshares get in room WiFi.) Bottom line, we'll add the Wyndham to the short list of places to check next year.

the best place I've ever stayed at in 40 years! the rooms needed a little maintenance

Injoyed our stay, nice area and Hotel was nice. Only issue was the strong smell of pool clorine in the hotel from the indoor pools.

The pool area was way too small for the amount of people that could stay at the hotel at the same time during a holiday weekend.

Stayed here for Spring Break. Excellent choice! Right in the middle of all the activities, nightlife, restaurants, etc. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay again.

Staff is unbelievably rude and complacent! Amenities and location are great though. Note that this hotel does NOT offer free breakfast offered as part of deal on website!

This is truly the best vacation we have bad ,super friendly staff .The resort was clean and lots of fun Truly the best ,we will stay again

FOR THE PRICE ONE WOULD THINK THE ROOM WOULD BE BIGGER THAN A SARDINE CAN

Sorry that you did not enjoy you stay with us. We do have a continuous renovation schedule that should always be keeping us up to day. As far as the food and beverage, we are a different kind of property then the JW in Orlando. The cost of the breakfast here is reviewed regularly and compared to our local market. And yes we are quite competitive in the area.
