I didn't feel like spending $300 for a room, and so based on the reviews of other hotels in this area that were in the $100-$150 range I selected this one. No luxuries, but a basic, clean room. Hotel staff very friendly. The Bistro just to the left of the hotel was very good for breakfast.
Located at the end of the ramp off the 405 freeway. King size bed had firm comfortable mattress. Room was clean and had fridge and microwave, but no cups or containers suitable to use in microwave. Breakfast was minimal. No decaf coffe tea water tepid not hot. Staff was efficient and helpful.
Very accommodating staff! They are always busy due to people coming in and out of the airport. The Hilton Honors app allowed me to communicate directly to the hotel prior to my arrival and they responded on a timely manner. Very efficient!

If you want to stay in downtown Santa Monica but not right on the beach, this is a pretty good choice. The hotel is modern and well-maintained, and the property is within walking distance to most restaurants and businesses as well as public transportation. (Only downside is that it sits right on the 10 Freeway, which can be busy and noisy.) The hotel is a bit of a panopticon - if you have an interior room, remember to draw your blinds or someone will end up peeking in on you. Front desk staff seemed overwhelmed when i checked in and checked out, but this didn't otherwise affect my overall stay.
received with kindness. Rooms a little stale, but nothing that would not get aired out.
Easy to find. Daily parking rate, in and out privileges. Best thing to do is to simply park your car and take the shuttle to Universal Studios them park or Citiwalk. Shuttles are 15 mins apart from 9am-9pm. Staff are courteous and professional. Parts of the hotel give away its age. Carpeting in room can use some TLC. Overall, a pleasant experience.
The hotel location is right near the 405 freeway so great access to other parts of LA. I didn't really take much advantage of the hotel amenities as it was a short business trip. But checking in and out was very quick and easy; the parking valet was always available and all staff were very pleasant and helpful.
