You have a strike at 630 am until 730am. They didnt let me rest. Very sad
I loved how the cleaning staff cleaned the room daily and even folded my clothes each day and placed them neatly aside for my convenience… I will definitely want to stay at the Westin there in Los Angeles whenever I visit California.
coffee cafe needs to have longer hours
The property was experiencing some lobby upgrades and protesters on the property, which were loud and disruptive to a normally quiet stay. I found the Cafe with Quick Items to not be a Starbucks, so they didn’t have the breakfast sandwiches and other items seemed very pricey. The restaurant and cafe/bar were fine with nice staff and good food. I enjoyed eating there and was well treated. My room had a plumbing issue which made it necessary to move to another room. The new room’s shower lever wasn’t working and this really put me behind schedule. I was compensated after asking, with a good credit to my room. I had some excellent front desk staff as well as some who brought only a business attitude with no smile or friendliness. Not good for the hotel. The outdoor pool & jacuzzi were very nice and provided a relaxing atmosphere. In the 2d room, it was upgraded and looked really nice. The fridge is hidden behind a door. The bathroom door was really stylish with an upscale look, and the little closet doors looked very nice. In the morning with no TV on, I heard an older man next door sounding like he didn’t feel well. Normally, the room is soundproof for the most part. I really missed the waterfall fountain that The Westin is known for and I hope they bring it back in their hotel upgrade.
I’m not sure how this is a Westin, it’s more of a holiday inn than anything else. The staff were friendly but the hotel itself needs work. Windows in the room were filthy and there was a glob of hair in the rubbish bin in the bathroom, the previous guests shower sponge and something that looked like blood stains on the carpet. Plastic cups in the bathroom as well. The price is right for what it is but definitely nothing like any other Westin I’ve stayed in before.
Great location.
The room was comfortable and the tub/shower was excellent. Also, our room had an excellent view of the approach end of the LAX runway, so it was quite a show. The only problem is that the self-parking at the hotel was overpriced ($45/night) so we used an adjacent building that charged $15/night.
nothing around hotel except airport.
The receptionist and other hotel employees are very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful property. Very convenient to the airport. As quiet as can be very near the run way. Great breakfast and coffee in the Grill, with wonderful service. The hot tub was getting renovated. I was bummed, as i was looking forward to it. Overall a good stay.
Nice property. Great value
Nice staff, very comfortable beds, free airport shuttle
They have many shuttles for dropoff and pickup at the airport. There is not much waiting time for the pickup and dropoff.
Nice, clean hotel. Even though it is The Westin, I was skeptical at first due to the location near the airport. Don't be, we were safe and secure in a beautiful room.
When we checked in Staff were not friendly and we were put in a room on the 6th floor overlooking the Airport. As planes took off the whole room shook, and being LAX there were lots of them. We repacked our things and went to the desk and asked for another room. No apology, no smile, no nothing, but we did get another room with NO AIRPORT NOISE!!
Be prepared for $50 self parking charges. Recommend not renting car, if that is your plan, until check out day. Airport shuttle is convenient and will get you back to car rental shuttle.
Decent airport hotel with ok rooms and good bedding. Dining options are limited to the hotel. Nothing bad, nothing great.
Convenient airport shuttle, clean room and easy check in and check out
