Interesting old hotel; unfortunately the city was tearing up the street in front of the hotel and the valet parked my car on the street adjacent to the construction. The pillows in our room were super large and fairly hard so I ended up using a rolled up towel as a pillow. The hotel did not have smaller pillows.
The Tiger Hotel is a comfortable and well-maintained property in downtown Columbia, MO. The price was reasonable for a hotel at this level. It really is an ideal place to stay to enjoy the most of what Columbia has to offer.

Booked two doubles and they only had one king which didn’t work for our arrangement (one parent and one student). Because I booked through Orbitz the hotel was unwilling to accommodate and wouldn’t even do some work to try to accommodate. And they outright stated the reason was that we booked via Orbitz
small rooms. about 10 TV stations in analog with the voice track 3 seconds behind. Air conditioner that when it goes on is super loud. Convenient to my sons college apartment, but I will not stay their again unless their are no other options!
Dislikes: Ice had to be requested, room temperature was cold even when set to “heat”/78, very thin blanket on beds, and slow and small elevators
Location is the prime factor. The room was very clean and staff were excellent.
We checked in after 3pm, but had trouble getting towels for a shower. We had one towel.

Thermostat wasn't working properly and the hotel didn't have blankets or comforters - only sheets and bed coverlets. My wife had to sleep in her coat because of the room temperature issues. Bathroom was not cleaned (residue on toilet seat) and maid left a note prior to 8 AM on a Saturday advising that they couldn't service the room because it was occupied - and never returned.
The location of the hotel was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the rooms were updated and luxurious. I just wish there was a breakfast included for the price.
