Great location, stylish and excellent staff. Surprised you had to pay for WiFi though, unheard of in my experience.

Room was exceptionally small. I just expect more from a W property. But lobby and bar and staff were great.

Tiny cramped rooms that look like a converted hostel. The lobby bar is fine except for the ice cold wind every time someone comes in the front door. A complete ripoff, should ha e tried the JW Marriott across the street for the same price.

Management quickly and efficiently addressed issues that arose on the first night of stay. A very noisy night that disrupted sleep was handled with a room change, with thanks to concierge Eden and Manager Sarah.

The room was cool, and I liked the design. However, as a whole, the hotel was extremely dark and felt like a not very nice hotel that was pretending to be extremely swanky.

Really good location to restaurants, downtown, and attractions.

It was a very beautiful property with exvey serviced

This is a clean, spacious, comfortable, and well-located hotel in downtown Chicago. It also one of the most hideously decorated facilities in which I have ever stayed. From the lobby to the rooms, the decor is a paltry attempt at cheap hip in an architectural setting that calls for casual elegance.

nice hotel, walking distance to tourist- attraction

Great lobby, helpful staff, wonderful concierge. The location is pretty nice but most attractions are further north

The strike was on during stay Rooms did not get cleaned

Checked in on Friday. Got a little annoyed that they tried to get me to upgrade, but the room was cozy as advertised and very clean and modern. I probably spent a total of 7 hours sleeping in the room for the entire weekend, so the room served its purpose, but you can get on roughly any subway line within 5 minutes walking distance.

We were there for our sons wedding. They married at the Sears Towers. Very convenient location.

I'm disappointed to hear that your stay was anything less than perfect. Having been built in the 1920s, our unique structure does cause some variance between rooms especially with our location in the financial district. That being said, some of our rooms do tend to be a bit cozier and closer to nearby buildings than others, inhibiting views from most rooms. We are truly sorry for any discomfort the room setup may have caused you. We do have several larger guestrooms & suites. On your next downtown Chicago visit, I hope you'd allow us the opportunity to leave a better impression and help you to chose a guestroom that better suits your style.

Thank you for leaving feedback regarding your recent stay with us. I'm happy you enjoyed our property's design but disappointed to hear that your stay was anything less than perfect. Some areas of our property are darker to follow the property's design narrative that speaks to our building's storied past, which included time served as a speakeasy/hideout for some of Chicago's most notorious figures. On your next visit, we'd love to point out some of the historical aspects of our property. If your travels do lead you our way in the near future, feel free to reach out to me, the property's W Insider. I'll do my very best to ensure a more memorable stay.
