I heard the lobby was recently renovated. The new look seems to be too dark and gothic looking. It a matter of opinion, but I would nit stay there again. The lobby is more of a club and less than warm and inviting. The staff and room was fine. I guess I guess I am just too old for that main lobby atmosphere to be coming and going routinely.

Hotel was under renovation during our stay. No one informed us of this prior to our arrival. There was no access to any of the amenities. I expected a lot more from the W.

Tiny room. Price gauging on honor bar. Website indicated hotel was finished. It was under construction. No bar. No restaurant. Entered into a dark corridor.

We will definitely stay there next time we go to Chicago. All the employees were very friendly & helpful. The rooms were very nicely decorated & lots of room to relax.

We were disappointed to discover the hotel was under construction. There was no lobby, restaurant or bar. Fortunately, the management was outstanding in allowing us to relocate to the LakeShore location without incident. For that reason, I would gladly return to the W in the future

No complementary wi fi and no breakfast. I made my reservation through Orbitz and this condition were told when I have already pay. Tricky. They only have a gym no other facilities.

Hotel was nice. Not an upscale ambience as one would expect from a W hotel. Just average to me. Room was small. Plain decorations. Very simple bathrooms. No complaints, just average.

Beautiful room, but for the price of the room, why can't they give you free wifi?? I also don't like feeling like I'm being nickeled and dimed with the silly temptation of all the over-priced in-room snacks. It cheapens the experience. The room was comfy and clean, although we were given a room RIGHT in front of the elevator. That's what you get when you buy a room through Orbitz? I'd personally rather stay in a cheaper hotel and get a quieter room. Overall I was disappointed with my experience.

Great hotel in the heart of the city for a great price! Would recommend staying!

Nice place to stay. Wished it had been closer to magnificent mile and museum, but it was walkable. Pros: quiet, clean and good service overall. Cons: Room service menu and lobby restaurant were beyond ridiculously overpriced and no other restaurants besides McDonald's within 5-6 blocks.

Worst experience ever!!!! We arrived one hour after checking in, our room was for two queen double beds (which I had called and confirmed) we get there and say our reservations are for one queen bed!!! Then they made us wait another hour because there was no rooms clean yet even though check in was at 4 o'clock and we were checking in at 4:45!!! And I'm pretty sure we did not get the correct room that we were supposed to stay in and paid for.

Lobby was gorgeous. Room was pathetic. So small there was hardly room to walk around the bed. Our room was in the farthest back corner of the hotel. Great location for bars and waking around. If every room is like the one i had, I would never stay here

very nice experience. We were able to check in early. Everyone in the hotel was helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back

This is a nice hotel. I do think it is very overpriced for the room size (both queen and king) There was only 1 robe in the room, however the room was booked for 2. Housekeeping can be quite noisy in the morning with conversation and laughter. (Annoying) Pillows are EXTREMELY small. There was a 200.00 incidental charge that I was unaware of. I let the clerk know, and she told me that they use another vendor for their hotel bookings and that it wasn't her fault. I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel as usual W brand exceed my expectations. With this one I have stayed in both on Chicago. Excellent service. Guest comes first. Excellent ambience. Excellent drinks at bar.

W always provides a nice experience room was nice sized with great hvac and quiet considering the busy downtown area. parking is expensive so use SpotHero to find nearby alternate garage (very easy app to use and we parked literally across the street for $25 vs $65 or so at hotel. about a 15 minute walk to Grant Park/Millinium and directly across street from JW Marriott. good pricing on accomodations vs other area hotels. only issue is that concierge hours were a bit odd and usually not there during typical daytime usage

Great hotel, located in business district of town though, a little far from the night life.

No this hotel didn't meet my expectations, and perhaps that's my fault. When I'm traveling on the weekends, I don't want or need my hotel to be a non stop party. I don't need to hear thumping techno tunes in the elevator at 0800 to get the full "W" experience. In the middle of the day, I ended up walking across the street to another hotel just to sit and enjoy a somewhat more peaceful cup of coffee. I don't mind the idea of a "lounge" type feel to a hotel, but a full blown nightclub? No thank you. No, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone over the age of 35, and because quite frankly, this isn't the experience we're looking for.

Beautiful hotel, great staff. The bar was a good place to hang but relative to everything we did it was just in an odd location. Only complaint is our room had a view of the roof and nothing else. Id recommend this hotel for business travelers, not a vacation spot.

Good Vibe, Nice room.... Ipod dock was useless, since no one has an iphone 4 anymore. No parking other than valet, but expected for the city i guess. Overall great stay, clean rooms.

Our guest feedback is important as often times it may pinpoint an area of needed focus and attention. At W, we strive to uphold the highest level of service and to hear we have fallen short of that goal is something we take very seriously. I was disappointed to hear that your stay was anything less than perfect and I do apologize you felt any discomfort in any aspect of our hotel, especially regarding the noise. I am taking the necessary steps to make this incident into a training opportunity for multiple departments, to ensure that this experience does not repeat to you or any other guests in the future. Best, Jessica Hwang
