What can I say, everything was perfect! The service was excellent, the restaurant was amazing and all the food we tried was just delicious. Breakfast in bed was also really good! The food is a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Can’t complain! They even had a car for us to take us anywhere we wanted as long as it was in a 2mile range.

Superb hotel by any measure. My only issue is that they did not present me with a final invoice/receipt after my stay, especially that I ended up upgrading and adding several other charges and I needed to know what they are. I will have to call them to request it.

My boyfriend and I recently had a short two day stay at the Waldorf Astoria. We were planning to stay in the Waldorf suite, however, we received an upgrade upon arrival into an Astoria suite. The rooms were beautiful. The staff was great. We used the spa and enjoyed all of the services. The only thing I wish were different is I wish we stayed longer. We just got home yesterday and we can't wait to go back.

The fireplace, the superb service, the no-tipping policy, and beautiful furnishigs made this a wonderful stay!!

The Waldorf Astoria is a nice hotel--however it is not on par with the Peninsula or the Ritz Carlton in Chicago. There basically is no lobby and the entry into the hotel leaves something to be desired/. The room did have a fireplace which was quite nice in the cold weather; however the room was very dimly lit ,particularly the bathroom. The bathroom also only had one sink. There was no coffee maker in the room--but when we requested one it was promptly delivered. These are all little things, of course but when taken in aggregate it makes me feel that this hotel is not on the level of the Peninsula in Chicago or the Ritz Carlton in Chicago ++Chiacgo \

I booked a room as a surprise to my wife . It was for her birthday, the concierge accommodate all my request and my wife is still on cloud nine. Great Hotel, great service , great people.

We went for our anniversary and had an amazing time. Loved that we could sit on the balcony and have coffee and just enjoy the city.

I arrived at the hotel a few hours before my husband who was travelling separately. He had made the reservation under his name and had not been asked for the names of others guests staying in the room. When I arrived, I was told that I could not check in because my name was not on the reservation. I explained that I was his wife, I showed them my ID which has the same last name and address as his, and gave them the same credit card with which he made the reservation. But they refused to let me check in. They kept saying that he was the only one who could check in since my name was not on the reservation and that this was hotel policy. We have travelled the world and never had this issue, especially because we do have the same last name, have the same credit card, etc. By far the most outrageous part of all this was that it felt like they were treating me as a criminal. They never offered to take my bags and get me a seat, let alone offer my a cup of coffee or tea or anything to make me comfortable while I waited for my husband. I was standing in the lobby showing them IDs and carrying three suitcases and the whole time not one staff person offered me any assistance. I felt like they treated me not as a guest in their hotel but as a vagabond who had wandered in from the street. I was shocked by such treatment, especially in a luxury hotel. I've never been treated like that in any hotel. I will never stay at a Waldorf again.

Absolutely wonderful from every minute. You walk into a gorgeous lobby with Jim Dine sculptures and are meet by the friendliest staff ever. The no tipping policy and free Mercedes car service make it so easy a stay.

5 Star Hotel - Best in Chicago - My Wife loved the Spa in the Hotel. The room was amazing - lots of space - had a fire place - gigantic bathroom - best place I have ever stayed in Chicago

Although it appears to be a big hotel you get the attention of a small luxury hotel. I can't wait to go back next year.

Business meeting in Chicago and decided to take my wife with me. Made it a date by booking here and wow they did not disappoint. It is the best of the best and my wife (27yrs) realized how important she was. Who said married life is boring. Cheers

From the minute we arrived to the minute we checked in to the minute the we checked out we felt like royalty staying at The Waldorf Astoria in Chicago. This is typically not the kind of money that I would spend in a hotel, but it was a special occasion. Now I know why this hotel group has the reputation that it does. Simply unforgettable!

The Woldorf Astoria does not dissapoint in any way. The staff was excellent, the ambiance beautiful, and the location outstanding. Next visit I will choose the larger corner suite!

perfect for couples

My boyfriend and I recently had a short two day stay at the Waldorf Astoria. We were planning to stay in the Waldorf suite, however, we received an upgrade upon arrival into an Astoria suite.
