I didn’t like the self-service aspect at check-in. And also when I asked for an ice water at the bar, and I was given a glass of ice and pointed to the self-serve water fountain near the bar. Check-in was annoying due to the kiosk which is like the automated airport check-in counters. I prefer to have hotel staff check me in. Also, I think the design of the room controls on the tablet is a bit annoying as well. Just put the buttons on the wall to move the curtains up and down. No need to reinvent the wheel here.

The team was so welcoming and friendly. The ambiance of the rooms and public spaces was warm and cozy. The lite food options were very tasty and convenient. The breakfast options were fresh and delicious. The art in the lobby and public spaces was cool and hip. The concierge was so helpful and we ended up seeing so many things we may have otherwise missed. Thank you to the whole team at Citizen M Downtown Chicago! Looking forward to booking the next in another city!

The property really live.up to its name... It is small but new, clean, modern and up to date interior designing... I rated low for their staff due to my encounter with my 7 year old daughter, they did not attend to us or even acknowledge that while we were waiting for the bar attendee chit-chatting to other co.worker and we were the only customer there. My daughter was hungry and wanted to go back to our room when we asked for help the response was snappy and short. The bar attendant was snappy while were asking questions with the sides and food they have, she gave us demeaning look as if she was disturbed and we were asking stupod question look. The rosemary french fries took a long time to get served

The property was in a great location. The hotel was nice and clean. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about restaurants and things to do! I only wish they had a microwave on the premises. Outside if that will be coming back

This hotel is a very modern hotel and is downtown close to everything!! So easy to get to transportation, restaurants etc. the rooms are small but I saw that on other reviews but for one or two people it’s perfect if you just need a place to shower and sleep, there isn’t parking available but there are many parking garages within a couple of blocks so it was still very convenient but for the price and location and cleanliness this hotel is definitely worth staying at! We definitely plan on staying in this hotel next time we are in town!!
