It was best hotel ever!! Very clean good staff and delicious food

Such an amazing hotel and overall experience. Recently had a group of 20 stay here for my wedding. Could not have been happier with the staff and accommodations! If you have not experienced the Live Aqua- you MUST go!! It will forever change your expectations regarding what an All-Inclusive vacation can be!

Overall the hotel is nice, however it is a very small hotel. The rooms are small and so are the bathrooms. View is wonderful. Beds and pillows are comfortable...but our bed squeaked like crazy! Room service in the am took forever over 1.5 hours. The pool tile was falling off but the pool overall was nice. Umbrellas could not be moved so that was an issue. If you didn't wake up at 7am and get a spot at the pool you would not get a chair and definitely not any shade. Beach was way to rough to get in and once again no umbrellas. Biggest issue was the restaurants...we waited 2 hours for dinner every night. The restaurants do not take reservations...first come first serve. The hotel has way to many people for the amount of restaurants so you will wait forever to eat. The food is not impressive either. Bars at the pool say they serve top shelf but they don't, only the inside bar does. So we went inside to get drinks. The nightclub within the hotel is not really a nightclub FYI. I have stayed at better places but they cost more...so if you want a cheap vacation that's all inclusive and don't care about waiting 2 hours for food and cheap liquor doesn't bother you then this hotel will be perfect for you. I wouldn't go back but I have high standards.

Location was great. Hotel is clean and staff is outstanding. Overall, food was very good. Only complaint is the Mediterranean restaurant had very slow service both times we ate there. Everywhere else was fine.

I went here with my husband and three other couples. We all LOVED it! There are so many great things about this resort it's a little overwhelming to try to get it all down..from the little things, like the aroma therapy in the room, to the amazing food--Hidden Garden was our favorite!--and the sushi..so much yummy sushi..the delicious drinks and multiple bars, smoothies, fitness center, pools, yoga, the coffee shop with cookies and truffles..so many things...the room service food was great as well! One night they had a band playing out by the pool with an elaborate buffet/grill. The atmosphere is very chill for the most part, but our group never felt bored..the swim up bar pool was a little more lively..playing more of the "today's hits" music, and the people that hung out there were a bit more energetic. We spent the majority of our time at that pool, but the other pools were awesome as well. People were having a good time everywhere! We also thought the poolside service was excellent..servers were coming around constantly. We could even order food to be delivered! I would go back here in a heartbeat.

Each restaurant had a vegetarian menu. I was very impressed with the choices. That was a nice surprise.

Beautiful pools, beaches and excellent food. The staff here is the best you will encounter!! Also great location with a really nice mall across the street.

Live aqua is heaven on earth. The resort is beautiful and clean! The employee are amazing friendly helpful and treat you like family. We would love to return again and again.

My wife and I loved our time at Live Aqua. From the staff welcoming us in to the hotel to the very last minute when we walked out the front door to head home. Sarah, who gave us the welcome hand massages, was so nice and sweet. We had a great talk during our messages about life in Cancun, our kids, speaking a foreign language, etc. Everyone on staff was so nice and extremely helpful. We always had whatever we needed or wanted. Orfa, the activities coordinator, was great. On our first day we did salsa dancing lessons with her and Eduardo. It was so much fun and my wife was very happy that I actually danced with her, which is not something I'm normally inclined to do. Over the next few days we'd see Orfa around the resort and we'd talk about dancing and what not. She's always so happy and seemed to know everyone around the resort. The food at all of the restaurants was very good. I'm not gonna say every single thing was absolutely delicious, but a majority was very good. MB was fantastic. The sushi bar is great and very convenient. Varenna was my absolute favorite. Pretty spectacular Italian food, without even considering the fact that it's at an all inclusive resort in Mexico. We also did the 50 minute couples message. The spa facility was quite enjoyable, and the staff were very attentive. It was my first time getting a message and it was quite nice. My wife has had a lot more experience in spas, and she was very happy with everything.

Live Aqua is an amazing adults only resort. The food was great and I couldn't get enough of the mojito bar. There are five pools to choose from with an option for the nicest beachfront on the strip. The location is perfect, right across the street from the mall (La Isla) and aquarium. Take advantage of the many cabana's offered for a small fee with foot massage included. It was the perfect relaxation vacation. The staff is wonderful, friendly, helpful, and always at your service. I would definitely come back here and wouldn't bother trying any other hotel on the strip, this is THE best. (Yes, better than Sandals).

If you are looking for a spotless, top notch service, great food and drinks, and treated like family this is your place. Book it and enjoy!

We go to Cancun 2-3 times a year and stay at different locations in the Hotel Zone. All the hotels that we stay at are 4.5-5 * hotels. I don't believe that Live Aqua meets its 4.5 rating. That's not to say we didn't have a nice vacation.... I would like to start with the pros: The staff is the most polite, professional and kind people we have met in all our ventures. The food is absolutely amazing! The buffet was delicious for both lunch and dinner. Everything was very fresh, well tended and the presentation very appealing. The Italian restaurant had excellent pasta, lasagna, steak and carbonara, would highly recommend it! MB, the steak house, is decorated lovely and the food was delicious....highly recommend the Filet Mignon! Azul has great drinks and beautiful views... Cons: The rooms(especially the rooms) and hotel need a face lift. For a 4.5-5 star hotel I would think that they would have a place for a couple to sit together comfortably in the room vs. 2 desk chairs an a chair and ottoman. The chair and ottoman were in such disrepair that we put a towel on it before we sat down. The chaise lounges around the pool are very uncomfortable and the thin padding does little to ease the discomfort. Most 4.5-5* hotels have chaise lounges with mesh material not hard plastic. I hope that in the future the hotel and rooms will be improved, Live Aqua is in a beautiful location and the staff are above and beyond professional and kind...I wish the hotel the best!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is. As a former travel agent, I am naturally critical but there is nothing negative I can say. The restaurants are great; however, we did not do the lobster restaurant ( In Laakech) as it was an upcharge and we aren't crazy about lobster, and did not do the MB restaurant as it had a dress code which included long pants and closed toed shoes for men (no sandals!), and as I do not check luggage I did not pack a pair.(By the way, try not to check luggage into Cancun if possible as the lines for check in on returning to the states are VERY long). Now, if you do not check luggage and therefore cannot bring a decent sized bottle of sunscreen, be warned that sunscreen costs $24 at the hotel gift shop! But I think it's worth it to not check luggage, so bite the bullet and pay it-just my opinion. The staff is AMAZING. Bring ones and fives for tips (no need to change to pesos as the US Dollar is strong and they are thrilled to get them in tips), although not once did any staff member even implicitly seem to expect one. They are so professional and friendly. Ale by the pool is a riot! She is so funny and engaging. We loved her and her service. Adrian at the restaurants was also wonderful, along with Helvert at the buffet restaurant and Dulce at the AKA bar. Valerie, the PR Manager, is just too wonderful for words, and her assistant, Susanna, is a delight. Thank you, Live Aqua, for a great vacation!

Hotel is not brand new, and you can see it, service friendly, but slow, beach, and pools very nice

The hotel and rooms were clean, comfortable and smelled like a spa. Food was better than a restaurant back home and the staff honestly couldn't be any better. Donny treated us like gold. He made our trip!!! We WILL be back...

We had another amazing stay at Live Aqua. The food was good, our room was perfect and the people there could not have been more friendly and attentive. Thanks to Walter, Marisol, Andres, Amador, Hugo and Jimena for adding a personal touch to our stay. It is good to see that this establishment values their employee like David and Valorie. Another nice touch was Victoria.

2nd visit to LA 20th to Cancun no reason to stay anywhere else.

Great beach with awesome service and well maintained, food and drink service was great with lots of activities, rooms well kept and stocked with drinks and snacks.

We have stayed at Aqua several times and love it. Staff is awesome, rooms great, daily foot massages! Very relaxing and every need attended to. Food is great!

Excellent facility, great staff, beautiful setting.
