I booked a room for my wife and her experience at this hotel was a total disaster. To start witth..while registering at the front desk she experience poor customer service by staff. Once in the rom she found out that there was a strong humid odor and humidity spots on the celling. But that was not all...she found a centipede inside her room!!! The only thing good about this hotel is that there’s a mall within walking distance.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and safety is not an issue at this property. They have security on site to make sure nobody is bothered. A/C worked well although a little noisy but not a major thing, it helped as white noise. The breakfast in the morning was really crowded so I could not participate. Would definitely consider staying here again for work.
Business trip to Cancún, nice hotel , kind People but there where working at The lobby , kind of anoying. At breakfast Almost non options for people who doesn't Eat sugar Like me. Generally nice hotel, works for one or two days
- Close to airport, fast check in and very cheap. - Lots of places around the hotel to go eat and a mini mart next to the hotel. - Continental buffet is included with the price of a single night. - WiFi has a decent signal
After my mother suffered a stroke while on vacation in Cancun, my sister and I needed a place to stay very close to Amerimed Hospital in central Cancun. This place was perfect for what we needed. Our room was clean and simple with two single beds. It reminded us of an IKEA room furnished for a small space. The room cost about $50 USD. Because we didn't know when my mother would be stable enough to fly home, the hotel allowed us to reserve the room for an extended period of time, but not charge our credit card. Instead, we were allowed to pay per day. The room price includes a hot breakfast. This includes two types of fruit, cereal, milk, juices, a selection of pastries, scrambled egg, beans, chilaquiles, warm red sauce, corn chips, shredded cheese and a type of sour cream. The beans and chilaquiles are slightly spicy, but good with the eggs. The red sauce is spicy, taste it first before you add it to your food. The coffee and hot water machine is available 24 hours in lobby. The hotel is located an easy walk across from Amerimed hospital and Plaza las Americas. The streets you need to cross to get to hospital do not have cross walks but there is a large center divider. Be sure to give yourself enough room to see the cars and buses coming, as they are traveling at great speed. It's a very busy street. We found it best to cross in front of delivery ramp next to hospital. An OXXO convenience store is located just a few doors down making it easy to buy drinks, snacks, etc. My sister and I speak fluent Spanish, but made the reservations on-line in English. I can't comment on how well the staff speaks English, but this is not like the hotels located the the Hotel Zone were everything is written out in English. PS: Mom is now home and it's going to be a long recovery, but she is improving daily.
Excellent Hotel. Helpful Front desk and security staff. Highly recommend. I will return. After more than ten trips to Cancun, I'm delighted to find City Express. One Woman traveling solo. With my reservation, the front desk staff organized a secure hold for my luggage (when I arrived early) Room and bathroom were clean. Internet worked. Bed was cozy. Next morning, Marcellino, the security guard arrived at my room to carry my HUGE scuba dive luggage. He ordered a cab and had the driver confirm the price in advance... no surprises. Superb service. I'll stay again. Cecilia from Great Lakes, USA
Soooo...not enough for parking for everyone, dirty floors and rooms, not enough housekeepers and pretty sh**y service = avoid at all costs! The ONE is better in the area or the Krystal. We got here late (midnight) and the rooms weren't clean yet, the lobby's bathrooms were disgusting... ugh... If I hadn't already paid for the reservation I would've completely tried to change hotels. In fact I will cancel the rest of my stay.
You love to go to Cancun but is too expensive? This is a very cheap, clean and modest way to go. Located in the hart of down town you will need taxi or bus to go anywhere but is easy to go back. Next to some convenience stores and bus stations you will find your way. The Hotel is small with small rooms, but very clean and comfortable. Do not have a safe on the room but they do have safes on front desk. Service is ok and breakfast is more than OK, just a few options (5 or so) but good enough to start your day, and coffee machine was a surprise! Best coffee machine ever … I recommend this hotel for business people or friends not really for family.
I needed to be at the airport early in the morning, so I needed a hotel just for sleeping. This hotel was good for that purpose. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The wifi was free and worked well in my room. However, the rooms are very small and the AC is a bit loud. The hotel is located across the street from a large mall, which is convenient for getting something to eat. If you want to go to the Hotel Zone for the beach or other attractions, you'll need a car or to take a taxi. Overall, if I needed a place just for sleeping in Cancun again, I would consider this hotel. But if I was going for vacation, I would spend more money for something nicer.
No one in the staff can speak English. The check-in time at 15.00 is obeyed like a law. The breakfast is non-existent, consisting of some donuts and watery coffee. Sure, the rooms are clean, the location is decent and there's a Subway just in front, but considering you have an Ibis just a stone's throw away in the same price range, it would seem unwise to choose this place. When an Ibis is a better option in terms of quality (and not just the price), you know a hotel should be avoided.
