Very nice and quaint hotel. Our room was on the second level of one of the buildings - there is the main building and at least 2 other buildings. Very clean room with a update/modern bathroom. Breakfast was hot and ready every morning. We were so close to the Canterbury West train station and close ...
This hotel is a great place to stay when visiting the Canterbury area. It is right in the tourist area and within walking distance of may attractions. There is also transportation options within a half mile of the hotel that provides access to other areas of England and the European continent.
Really liked this hotel. Nice atmosphere. The only downfall that we had was the large group of noisy Americans were there during dinner making it difficult to have a conversation...of course not the fault of the hotel. :-)
The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I stayed at this Ramada about ten years ago. Since then the condition of the facilities has deteriorated somewhat. Most notably, the roof needs some attention.
Great location on the sea. Clean, nice modern lobby, friendly staff. Held our luggage both before check-in, and after checkout.
Very happy to stay at the hotel. I felt welcome and part of a family
Great value compared to the competition. The location is close restaurants, such as the Khon Kaen Thai food place (I like Thai). Easy enough to walk downtown to the mall or the old town district. Also, a nice walk along the Channel shore. And only 5-6£ for a taxi to/from the Folkestone Central train station and most other places.
Overall nice experience. Clean rooms, friendly service. Though you can really hear the people talking in the halls and entering into their rooms. The gym facilities were pretty good, though the changing /bath rooms needed to be cleaned more often. BIG DRAWBACK is the 15 pound price for 24 hour internet service. This is REALLY expensive given that internet is so useful/necessary.
