This hotel is a great place to stay when visiting the Canterbury area. It is right in the tourist area and within walking distance of may attractions. There is also transportation options within a half mile of the hotel that provides access to other areas of England and the European continent.
This was a last minute change of plans booking and it turned out to be a great experience. The room was very nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The on site parking was a huge bonus and easy to find. The bar had a great selection and we loved sitting in the lounge with our drinks people watching. ...
Although old, the building is well taken care of, as are the furnishings and the grounds. The managers and staff are genuinely friendly and accommodating. My thanks to them for providing an excellent experience. And by the way, the cost was moderate.
The checkin hotel staff was very good and was very friendly. He took time to explain things. The check out staff was very mean. She did not even look up when I gave her the keys on checking out
This hotel is a couple kilometers from Canterbury, but quiet, mostly clean, and the staff are friendly. I say mostly clean because there is mildew in the bathroom, which I find is a frequent thing in England.
