This was a last minute change of plans booking and it turned out to be a great experience. The room was very nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The on site parking was a huge bonus and easy to find. The bar had a great selection and we loved sitting in the lounge with our drinks people watching. The staff had an excellent recommendation for our dinner and the continental breakfast was very good. It was so nice that it was located with in walking distance of all the sites. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Situated VERY close to the Canterbury West train station, it was an easy walk with my two pieces of luggage. The hotel is also just a few short steps from the West Gate of Canterbury. High Street and all it's shops, bars and restaurants are SO very close. The staff was lovely, breakfast was just right - know that if you want hard boiled or fried eggs - just ask. Their restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner but there were a number of great restaurants very close, a great seafood place and Indian restaurant JUST across the street. My room, 31 was in the TapRoom, adjacent to the hotel. I moved the bed against the wall so I had more room to get in and out of the bed. The bathroom was very modern and extremely clean.

We checked in to The Falstaff after spending a rain-soaked and blustery day in Dover. Staff directions to the parking were excellent, and parking easily accessible and convenient in this crowded city. Room was dated, but clean and cozy with radiators that immediately dried our clothes! The hotel is walking distance to the city's major attractions, with a lovely pedestrian area filled with restaurants. After leaving, we discovered we had left our address book in the room. A phone call connected us with Rachel who went out of her way to keep in touch thereafter--putting the book in the mail which arrived 2 days after our return to the States. Despite a service charge (afterall, staff had to perform the posting, which we understand), Rachel's courtesy and consideration made our stay even better.

Very nice and quaint hotel. Our room was on the second level of one of the buildings - there is the main building and at least 2 other buildings. Very clean room with a update/modern bathroom. Breakfast was hot and ready every morning. We were so close to the Canterbury West train station and close to High Street with all its shops and restaurants. Canterbury is a wonderful city to visit. I wish we had more time. Don't miss seeing the Canterbury Cathedral - absolutely beautiful. We took day trips to Leeds Castle, Dover Castle, and the White Cliffs of Dover.

Overall the hotel was good. I was only disappointed with not having internet
