I highly recommend the Ebury. The small hotel is a real gem and although my stay was short, just one night, I'd love to come back. The hotel is stately but not at pompous or stuffy. The location has ample parking if driving or if using public transportation it's an easy walk up from the bus terminal or even the 1.2 mile walk through the city from the Canterbury west train station is a very enjoyable one at that. While at the hotel I enjoyed a lazy evening in their gorgeous garden partaking in some light dinner and local lagers from the super casual bar area. This is really a hotel with I'd say B&B features such a small staff and a very personal feel. THe room I had was spacious, airy, and nicely decorated but not fancy. In the morning the breakfast service in their dining room was right on spot to start off my long day of traveling home. There are hot made to order items like porridge and eggs along with self serve cold items. All the staff were super gracious and while there are cheaper accommodations around, the setup of the Ebury is really conducive to rest and relaxation,
