This hotel is amazing value having stayed there on an offer. We stayed in Dixwell Room which was massive with a lounge overlooking the fields. Dinner was excellent quality with a good choice. Likewise breakfast was plentiful with honey from the local hive. We used the swimming pool and sauna during our stay. Our offer included 2 gin and tonics from which we chose Silent Pool Gin and elderflower tonic. The grounds are over 250 acres and include a golf course.

We stayed in one of the lodges after a tough trip back to the UK from abroad. It was a fantastic experience. Beautiful atmosphere, incredible service, peaceful, tranquil, spotless. Worth every penny. I felt very sorry for the poor chap on Reception when we tried to check out on Saturday morning. He was on his own with a long queue. He was incredibly graceful under pressure, and managed the situation admirably. What a pity that the plush hotel couldn’t stretch to a bit more manpower to speed up the queue at peak times. This is, however, my one criticism of an otherwise wonderful stay.

We stayed in Lodge 1 - the accommodation itself was quite basic but very clean and the towels and linen were good. The service in the main hotel however was absolutely appalling and the food was probably the worst I have ever (not) eaten in a hotel. The "pizza" was an awful pie-like creation that seemed to have come out of a deep freezer and the "triple cooked" chips appeared to be bulk standard oven chips. Bearing in mind it took over an hour for our food to arrive as our original order of sandwiches was not possible due to "lack of ingredients", this was more than a little disappointing. When we checked out we were asked about our stay and I explained the food and service was poor. The response? "Wow, it must have been bad last night - you are the third person to say that this morning". Extraordinary to not even receive a simple "sorry to hear that". We proceeded to breakfast, where we had to clear a table ourselves to be able to sit down as every table had been used and not turned around and were not even offered tea or coffee. If you want a true Fawlty Towers experience, then this is for you! On the plus side, it was so bad, it was laughable.

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 teenage daughters for 2 nights. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff. We checked in and arrived at our room which had 3 single beds and one sofa bed (Kent Room), sadly this was not the room that we had requested so went back to reception and they moved us straight away (thank you Matthew). The room that we had was the Alexandria Room which was very large and had 1 double and 2 single beds. If was very clean and had a beautiful view overlooking the grounds at the back of the hotel. The breakfast had a small variety of pastries and cereals, but you could order from the freshly cooked menu also (we ordered pancakes on our 2nd morning which were very good). Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.

My middle daughter bought me tea here for a mothers day present but came later in year very nice surroundings very nice food tea and prosecco had a lovely time at Broome Park daughter is getting married here next year so was good to see hotel in action

We stayed at Broom Park for the weekend to attend a friends function. Our initial reaction was “wow” when we arrived and saw the location but unfortunately that was short lived when we got to our room. We found that the room looked tired, holes in wall that should have easily been filled, loose lino in the bathroom, seal around the sinks has decayed and worst of all, the shower barely trickled water out and eventually stopped working altogether. Really disappointing for a so called 4 star hotel. I would give it a 3 star rating at best. In fact numerous other guests were also disappointed with their accommodation and service (issues ranging from bad service, room service food not arriving and general poor presentation of rooms). In the end we went down to the swimming pool and showered there. We talked to reception about our issue and was told they had reported the issue to maintenance, no one arrived to resolve it. Considering the amount of money that you pay to stay there, I would have thought basic maintenance would be a pretty simple ask and not rocket science to fill in holes and keep guest room looking pristine. Overall a pretty disappointing visit.

A very restful afternoon with lovely food, cakes and a glass of bubbles. Staff were excellent and very attentive whilst at the table. We did have to wait 20 minutes before our table was ready, and this was only after going up to reception twice but it was worth it in the end. The table was in a nice room with lovely views. There was a wedding party happening at the same time and all the staff seemed very busy. The hotel was once Lord Kitcheners home, with lots of beautiful decorations. It was a lovely afternoon worth a visit.

When I call a hotel I don't expect to be called Love. Once at the hotel the checking in and out was disorganised and unprofessional causing delays. The female staff were extremely helpful to the bride and bridesmaids.

Nice Hotel with character. Great room with a view of the 18th hole green. Some aspects looking a bit tired and dated now but everything worked and was comfortable. Super friendly staff who were always helpful and courteous. Some of the service was a bit flaky. No napkins on any dinner table but kept outside in a service area. Supplied when asked for quickly but it took up staff time being frequently asked. Monday breakfast was a self serve buffet all a bit haphazard. Tuesday breakfast was cooked to order and first class and this should be the standard offering for a hotel of this style.. Nice and clean pool sauna area. Enjoyed our stay here.

We came here for my daughters birthday celebrations on June 8th and booked a table for 6. A wedding was taking place at the same time as we arrived so the staff had to cope with that as well as afternoon cream teas and diners ,despite this we received excellent food and service. On paying the bill the manager gave a reduction as he thought the service was slow due to the wedding etc ,we told him every thing was fine but he insisted.A big thank you to all your staff for making our visit so good.
