Rooms were great! Staff was great! Hallways needed a little better cleaning attention. Waiting areas at elevator on each floor needed attention.

The first room we were put into had dog poop in the corner. They switched us to another room. That room was clean, but the pillows were not uniform and were lumpy and small. Housekeeping came late in the afternoon and replaced our towels, but did not make up our beds. The hallways of the non-smoking rooms smelled very strongly of smoke (but the rooms did not). The hallways were also dirty. We stayed 4 nights and they were not vacuumed until the last day. The hotel lobby floor and stairs were very sticky. The breakfast was very limited. They were out of items each morning. The juice machine was NOT juice, it was mostly water. The area around the juice machine was so sticky that you could not fix your coffee with out standing in the sticky mess. The biscuits were cold (like out of the refrigerator cold). The housekeeping could be heard yelling from room to room about a theft that had taken place and speculating who had taken the missing item. Seemed very unprofessional. The hotel is EXTREMELY understaffed. There was one person responsible for the front desk and the breakfast. The breakfast tables and floor were a mess and as I mention the food was not kept up. There is no way one person could properly maintain both of those areas simultaneously. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

our Experience is not too great, very slow wifi and a TV that doesn't pick up major channels like ABC & CBS since our room doesn't come with a cable box. But I heard that some room comes with cable boxes! We where very disappointing with the slow wifi!

hotel was reasonably priced and close to interstate and BassPro...night club beside it might bother some

Was in town for business and this hotel was close to anywhere I needed to go. Easy check in, and once my day was over, anything I wanted/needed was on site, or walking distance.

We were pleasantly surprised with the Lamplighter Inn South. For a value priced hotel, the rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Awsome location. Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. If you are looking for an afordable hotel that is NOT a flea bag this is great.

We had an awsome time. Great value hotel. Was very clean and great location.

The shower water wasn't regulated. The water would go from normal for a minute or two then scalding hot for a minute or two then freezing cold and back again. Also the water backed up into the tub. It was draining, but not anywhere close to fast enough. Pretty much all my shower water stayed in the tub with me. I spoke to the manager at checkout and she was very professional, and nice. She said she would turn it in to be looked at right away. Which she did, I heard her report it when I was in the hall. There were four cleaning issues. 1. Looked like mold high on the wall with the window. 2.the microwave door had a lot of finger prints on it. Which you couldn't see standing, but only laying on the bed. 3.Someone at some time had written I love you on the bathroom mirror, so when it fogged up you could see it. 4.Dirt in the corners of the bathroom floor and wall. I know they have a lot of rooms so getting on your knees to scrub doesn't happen everyday. I spoke to my cleaning lady and she was extremely nice. She said she always wipes down with her antibacterial cleaner, but she has a separate glass cleaner. But if she doesn't see any streaks or finger prints on the glass she will skip the glass cleaner. She assured me she wipes everything down with the antibacterial cleaner. Also, she said she would take care of my concerns. This hotel has some upkeep issues. My bed was pretty soft so I think it may have been past replacement time. One of the pillows was misshapen and looked a bit pathetic next to the others. The doors and drop ceilings in the walkways showed wear and tear. The place where the soda pop machine was had a molding torn off and you could see sheetrock around the area. On the plus side their continental breakfast room was great and the breakfast was good. The Lobby was updated and nice. The toilet, shower stall, and counter in my bath appeared new and updated. The dresser, carpet and flooring in the bedroom appeared new and was nice. They are located on a corner of two main roads in Springfield which was great. However there is an abandoned store behind them with trash around it and a Caberet adult club next to them. Neither of these things bothered me. This Inn has some things to work on, but it appears they are working to update. To people looking at this Inn I would say it has some issues, but the staff is great and want to take care of you. I would stay there again if the price was the same.

All good except the fitted sheets kept coming undone

I originally made my reservation for one night. I ended up staying two weeks. Also they matched the rates every night I stayed. The staff is awsome

it was ok.. good location for what was needed, showers ran hot then cold all of a sudden..

The hotel was in a good location and the breakfast was okay. We were in a non smoking room but yet it still smelt like smoke. The elevator is to small you can barley fit a luggage cart in it.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Hot Breakfast made it an even better value.

Worst showers ever! Changing from freezing to boiling temps every few seconds. AC units are old. Hallways and elevator were hot.

When I'm on the road I like to stay in a nice, comfortable, safe hotel that offers everything I need within walking distance as when I'm done driving for the day I want to be DONE DRIVING for the day and this place offers that. I ate well, and slept great, and will be back again.

From check in to check out, the staff was great!!! The on-site 24 hour food (with breakfast available 24 hours) can't get much better. Price was reasonable. The room had been updated within the last few years and was comfortable. Your close to any/everything you would want/need. The ONLY thing that I could "ding" is that the windows needed washing from the outside. But that's the only thing.

Nice and Quiet, no problems with check in. Staff was very helpful.

The weather was really hot and so was Ziggys resturant and the lobbies all the way to our room. The free breakfast was not very good. The eggs looked like they were re-hydrated and heated in the micro-wave. The apple juice tasted like water with apple flavor. the orange juice was good. The good was just not good. The best thing I found was the yogurt. Will not be staying at this hotel. The staff was really nice, but the hotel really needs a face lift.

My mom and I stayed here for 3 nights. Everything was just ok. Not as clean as it should have been. Lobby was greasy smelling from the resturant. Handicap parking was great. Pool was cold.
