Location was great-close to where we needed to go. I really liked the information page with food spots and parking areas with cost.
Friendly staff and convenient location. Room was very spacious and clean. Will stay here again.
Location was key. Very walkable to many areas of city. Would have loved to have AC in my room.
The property is in old historic inn. However it is antiquated not antique. No air conditioning. The furniture was shabby 1970's the bathrooms not updated. No where to eat. Not accessible for people with disabilities. The saving grace was some of the staff Elizabeth was an amazing human being!!!
Nice, older building. It was surprisingly very quiet. There's a lot of construction in the area so the roads around are kind of torn up. We walked all over downtown, Pike Place etc from this location but there are some hills. Friendly, helpful staff!
The hotel needs a lot of updates
No A/C and it was hot at night. Room was neat and clean. Furniture old but functional. Location was a long walk from downtown.
No air conditioning in the entire hotel. I’m not saying it’s broken - I’m saying that there isn’t any air conditioning system installed in the entire building! It’s completely outdated and in need of modernization. I don’t know how they can charge over $300 per night and not offer the basic modern comforts. The staff was very understanding and did not argue when I asked them to refund my credit card for the unused night so that I could go to a better hotel. Kudos to the staff but shame on the owners for not keeping up with the times. They’re putting themselves out of business.
I enjoyed my stay, was not bothered. It was quiet. Although it no air conditioning, my room was at a comfortable temperature, since it was in Seattle. And though I had windows on Em two side across the room (one behind the headboard but blocked off), the view was of the air shafts on either side. Not unpleasant just nothing to write home about. And the staff did acknowledge that I had left behind an iPhone charger, I spoke with 2 people and they assured me they’d return it to me to my address on file, it has been 2 1/2 weeks and I still have not received my charger. A black sparkle cord with an iPhone cube. Of which is not have bothered to ask it’s return but I made it explicit my deceased husband bought me this cord, one the last couple of things he bought for me before his passing. This saddens me as I was reassured I’d receive my property. I even stated I’d pay for the postage, and I was assured that wouldn’t be necesaary.
Location was good (we were attending a show at the Paramount theater), staff was kind and area seemed very safe. Only issue is that there is no way to control room temp and it was very hot, they did have a fan in the room which was great and that helped make tolerable. There is a parking lot ($24 per day) very conveniently located. Overall, a good stay.
There really are no amenities, except a café that closed at the start of COVID and has not reopened. But it is well located and the rooms are nice.
The building was old but kept up quite well. Little surprised there was no A/C, but not a deal breaker for in the future
An old hotel with old furnishings, fixtures, and small bathrooms, but kept clean and reliable, this hotel is probably one of the most affordable in Seattle, and thus worth staying at. Staff are helpful, and the block is quiet. A half mile to Capitol Hill for a variety of eats or a half mile to downtown the other way, it's a pretty good location.
Needed a hotel stay for a less than 24hour trip to Seattle and this turned out to be perfect! Didn't know it was connected to a hospital until days before. It is quiet, secure, comfortable! Beautiful furniture, old building with original details. Would stay here again. <3
Great location, staff is nice and very helpful. Room was ok, AC was not working.
We didn't have a car for this trip so walking up all those hills from University Street station was killer cause there was also a heat advisory that day and plenty of uphill but of course we took affordable rideshares after that day whenever we went to Pike's Public Market or Space Needle area or the Lumen Field. It's right next to the hospital, so it feels very safe. The place is definitely old school with the wooden furniture and dark carpet, but if you got a white comforter, you're a good looking room to me so it felt really comfortable and clean sleeping in the bed. Plenty of towels, but that daunting flimsy white shower curtain haha but still clean! We had a microwave and fridge, we asked for room refreshes and they held our luggage on the day we left cause our flight was so late we had time to kill so really awesome of them. Also when you go to Capitol Hill plenty of places to eat, stores, places to shop, bars, it was a really nice stay, I would definitely go back.
