Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle

4.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

We were able to see so much of Seattle just by walking a few blocks in all directions. Great public transportation and tons of Uber drivers. Great study with awesome people. The staff is top notch.

The Monaco is a great place to stay downtown Seattle the staff is so professional as well as friendly. The hotel is busy but not chaotic. The wine happy hour gave us the opportunity to meet many people from other countries. A wonderful experience.

The lobby of the hotel makes a great first impression. Are room was spacious and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The design scheme is eclectic, but that's what one would expect in a Kimpton hotel in Seattle. The light rail is only one block away, and one can walk to many downtown attractions with ease. Overall, our stay was enjoyable but not especially memorable.

The hotel itself is conveniently located downtown. The distance from the Fish Market and the Smith Tower is less than a 10-minute walk. The staff is professional and extremely helpful. If you do decide to stay here, I would recommend bring your own pillow. The pillows provided are not comfortable. They are thick and bulky. The hot water in the shower is not as hot as I would like. The towels are your basic hotel towel. The bed was comfortable. All in all those were my issues, however the hotel is nice.

My partner and I wanted a quick getaway, and the Hotel Monaco was perfect. The staff was incredible, the wine hour was a great start, and we were surprised with a treat in our room because it was my birthday. We can't wait to return!

Everything was ok except that the bathroom doesn't have heater, I missed a coffe machine in the room☹️

We came to town for a Seahawks game and wanted to stay someplace close. This hotel was within walking distance, the staff was friendly and we had a nice time. The only thing missing was an in-room coffee maker. But there is a Starbucks right next door.

Rooms are spacious and well maintained. The Rooms are quiet clean and are very up to date. The hotel also has great decor throughout with a large open lobby to welcome you.

It is a nice hotel, and the location is excellent. I was dissapointed with the size of the bathroom. Really tiny. Great for one guest but the toilet is really in the way and your always manuvering around it. Very wierd layout for an upper end hotel.

We had a great time celebrating my son's 27th bday.

Some staff awesome some a little pretentious Most thing was we paid for a suite and it was a curtain separator not a door so noise was a problem . probably would not stay at this Kimpton Property. Love the Palermo and Muse Kimpton properties.

Very friendly staff beautiful lobby big nice room. You have to sign in club for free wifi but sign in processing was not Mobil friendly. So I end up not using it.

We stayed at the Monaco for our 5th anniversary and had a lovely time. Being right in the middle of Seattle meant that we could walk anywhere we wanted and that is definitely a plus considering how little parking is available. The staff was courteous and the accommodations were excellent. We will certainly consider staying here in the future.

The stay at the Monaco was absolutely fantastic. The staff helped us with all of our questions which made or stay so much nicer.

This hotel is centrally located to all the main attractions. The room was clean and really enjoyed the goldfish and wine hour.

Walked everywhere from this location. Wonderful staff very pet friendly.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was perfect. The staff was very professional and helpful. The room is spacious and the bathroom very nice. Appreciated the complimentary tea and Starbuck's coffee served in the lobby every morning. Only one disappointment: we came here for another night and got a room right next to the ice machine which was very noisy at night. We called the reception to inform them about the noise and they offered to move us to another room. Since it was late and we already unpacked our bags, we didn't want to move and fortunately the noise stopped. Don't know if they turned it off or if the noise was only temporary. So just make sure you don't get a room next to the ice machine and you'll have a great stay!

The location and look of the hotel was really nice. The rooms looked exactly as pictured! The walls were a bit thin. My boyfriend and I woke up to the other rooms laughter several times. Then could here there whole conversation the next morning. That wasn't too bad though! We liked the room and love that they are pet friendly! We will definitely come back!

This hotel was in the perfect location for walks along the waterway, Pike Street Market and the retail shopping. The staff was incredibly helpful all of the way around and they even did a hosted wine hour at 5pm every day. Would definitely stay there again.

The Hotel Monaco is a great value and located conveniently in the heart of downtown Seattle. 2 blocks from the light rail and walking distance from many restaurants and activities.

Thanks Rob! You hit the nail on the head. You won't find anything "beige" in a Kimpton Hotel. I'm happy to hear you enjoy our style and our convenient downtown location. Come again soon and try our new restaurant, Outlier. It's sure to make your next stay a memorable one.

Thanks for your comments! I agree, our location is tough to beat. Easy access to so many things that make Seattle such a spectacular vacation spot. I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the pillows. We have both feather and foam pillows available in each room to try and accommodate all preferences but will certainly look into having other types on hand. I hope you'll come back for another visit. I look forward to the opportunity to have you again as our valued guest!
