Clean, staff friendly nice people, breakfast a lot of variety
Window dressing in both rooms we were offered were torn one more than the other. There was a pretty unsightly hair on the phone receiver when I picked it up to call the front desk. The beds could be more comfortable. More than anything its the lack of attention to detail. The hotel is impressive ...
Very good breakfast selection, comfy bed, quiet room
Parking is so expensive!! Other than that we really like staying here and would come back, great location
Location... uniqueness... friendly staff... charming rooms.. not “cookie cutter” at all.
Everything was great for a place to store yourself while you sleep, shower and watch a little TV. Staff was really great!
The overall atmosphere was nice. The room was clean and well kept. I was disappointed with the daily parking fees, they were quite high at $32/day. Would have thought the location would have provided parking for their guests.
Free ample parking, good location and good basic amenities
The AC made a horrible loud sound when you turn it on! My sister had an exam the next day so we didn't want to stress her out with moving rooms! So we slept without the AC on! We waited for her to fall asleep before we turned it back on! The toilet bowl had a leak on the back. So we had to wipe that! ...
There are worse places to attend a conference than sunny San Diego, California. Unfortunately, you probably will not see much of that sun when listening to presentations throughout the day. So, why not get some fresh air when you go out for dinner in the evening?
The Patio on Lamont on 4020 Goldfinch St is a covered patio restaurant serving modern cuisine until late at night. The ambiance is a bit upscale, yet relaxed and the staff is friendly. Unique are its two hanging gardens in the front and the back of the restaurant. Island Prime (880 Harbor Island Dr) offers a view over the San Diego Bay from a lounge patio. Specialized in steak and seafood, this restaurant serves modern Californian cuisine in a setting that invites celebrating a special occasion. It is best to make a reservation.
Next, Fireside by the Patio (2855 Perry Rd) offers views of the water as well, but this time located right by San Diego International Airport. This place is all about meat, cooked over charcoal or wood and to be combined with one of the craft beers on offer. The service is great and the atmosphere casual thanks to the garden-like setting.
For a rustic Italian restaurant with a large patio, visit Davanti Enoteca (1655 India St). It is located in San Diego’s Little Italy district. Prices are a bit on the high end, but the service is great and waiters will be happy to recommend something to your taste. A favorite for many is the pizza with the chef’s choice of toppings. Last but not least, Cafe Coyote (2461 San Diego Ave) is a Mexican restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating and a tequila menu with no less than 100 options. It is a lively place, where live mariachi is played and locals like to come for the Taco Tuesday deals.
