Traveling back from Florida along I-95, we needed a place to stay for one night, with dogs. Not many options, so we took this one and booked a studio for the night. Its way off the beaten path, behind a corporate park. This hotel is tired. We entered the building to the smell of burnt hot dogs, worn carpets, door frames that were dinged and in need of replacement. The room was better (a studio), but the bathroom was stained and the bathroom vent had not been cleaned in some time. The layers of dust told a clear tale. The shower has three pump bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. For sanitary reasons, I used my own soap and shampoo, but did test the shower gel, only to find it empty. Its a Marriott property, but needs an update and some TLC. I cant recommend for longer than one night, but go with low expectations.
I was simply planning to stay at this hotel for one night befote my sisters military graduation and was greeted by a nice gentlemen (i apologize about forgetting his name) who welcomed me in like it was his own home. The room was very spacious nice look to it, very clean and super cool soap dispensers in shower. The general manager steven was at the desk to greet me on my way out as if i was family and that really made this experience a very grand one indeed!
I lost my heat in the middle of the night. Found Towneplace Suites on my Marriott app. I was nicely surprised by how pleasant the staff is, how accomodating they were and the newness and cleanliness of the room. The front desk manager, Kiersten Adamson is friendly and does all she can to make guests feel welcome and meet their every need. Steve Patterson is a great general manager. He is a leader and it shows but also teaches the staff by example how to treat everyone like family, I was amazed that the staff treats guests like they are at a 4 star hotel and I never felt like I was at an extended stay. Many of the guests were there because of disruptions to their homes as was I, and the staff knew each guests name and listened sympathetically to their situations.
This hotel is really hidden and hard to find but that is part of its appeal. We love staying at this quiet Towne Place Suites in Short Pump and we regularly recommend it to friends. The staff is always very accommodating and goes out of its way to meet our needs and answer questions. Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Costco are nearby, as well as some very good restaurants.
Compact grounds that are seculed from but close to Innsbrook business district. Excellent small kitchenette with 4 burners and an oven. Big fridge and convenient living space. Friendly front desk. Elevators are tucked away in the ends. One special building is pet friendly.
We stayed at the TownPlace Suites in Richmond, Virginia on our way to the coast. It was such a nice place, we decided to stay on our way home. The staff was friendly and helpful, as I forgot an item that they mailed home to me. We will definitely stay there again.
Room was clean, comfortable, good shower and internet......better than we experienced in an upper-level Marriott in Old Towne Alexandria. We had made a mistake when we booked our reservation for another Marriott in this same area. As a result, we ended up at this location which was more reasonably priced and perfect for our needs. As we stayed more than one night, it was a delight to come back in afternoon to find our room had already been serviced. Front desk personnel were welcoming and efficient. Would stay here again.
I was impressed, have stayed many places over the years and this was excellent. lots of room, with two bedrooms kitchen, sofa bed. Real nice breakfast of waffles, egg patties sausage , bagels , toast etc. Hard boiled eggs, cereal, apple and orange juice , coffee, yogurt, free cookies in lobby. Friendly, helpful front desk. Great for a family traveling.
I stayed at this property before in 2014, and stayed here again for one night in August 2017 on our way down to Myrtle Beach. I was travelling with my family, which consisted of my wife and three kids, plus my parents. We stayed in a two bedroom suite, while my parents stayed in a separate room. This is an older property, but is reasonably well kept. The night we stayed there was some sort of family reunion, and they were using the picnic area in the parking lot. The noise wasn't terrible, but those with heightened noise sensitivity may take issue. As a reminder for first timers, this location is buried deep in a corporate park, and is somewhat off the main roadway. I suggest pulling up a Google satellite view just to see for yourself. Parking was plentiful, and I was able to back the family truckster into the parking space. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly, and both rooms were clean. We were on the third floor, and noise from the floor above was not noticeable. This hotel is pet friendly, so you may hear an occassional bark, but again, it wasn't anything that I found to be particularly concerning. The two bedroom suite has a narrow galley kitchen, a central living area with pull-out sofa, television, and a small dining table, and a single bedroom. We did not utilize the kitchen other than to use the counter as somewhere to set up the pizza we had ordered. It was a long drive from Connecticut, so we all gathered in our room and ordered pizza. There was enough room for 5 people in the living area to sit back, eat and unwind, though it was a bit tight with 7. Beds were comfortable in both rooms, and a decent, stable internet connection kept the kids from becoming angry after a long day of travel. Other than the guests at the hotel, there is no other background noise, since the hotel is a good distance away from major highways. The hotel is very close to all the shops and restaurants on West Broad Street. Additionally, there is a corporate park a very short walking distance away that has a walking trail that follows the perimeter of two ponds so you can get your Fitbit steps in for the day. We did not utilize any of the amenities. There is an outdoor pool, and breakfast is served in the lobby area. There is also coffee available. This was a good stop on our trip to recharge our batteries and continue on. It is not luxurious by any means, but it definitely fills a role as a clean, comfortable place to spend the night, particularly when you are travelling with a larger family.
My wife and I stayed 5 nights and found that the staff never had a bad day. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite. More than enough room. Accommodations are a bit dated, but clean. We highly recommend TownePlace Suites. .
