This hotel is really hidden and hard to find but that is part of its appeal. We love staying at this quiet Towne Place Suites in Short Pump and we regularly recommend it to friends. The staff is always very accommodating and goes out of its way to meet our needs and answer questions. Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Costco are nearby, as well as some very good restaurants.
Compact grounds that are seculed from but close to Innsbrook business district. Excellent small kitchenette with 4 burners and an oven. Big fridge and convenient living space. Friendly front desk. Elevators are tucked away in the ends. One special building is pet friendly.
We stayed at the TownPlace Suites in Richmond, Virginia on our way to the coast. It was such a nice place, we decided to stay on our way home. The staff was friendly and helpful, as I forgot an item that they mailed home to me. We will definitely stay there again.
Room was clean, comfortable, good shower and internet......better than we experienced in an upper-level Marriott in Old Towne Alexandria. We had made a mistake when we booked our reservation for another Marriott in this same area. As a result, we ended up at this location which was more reasonably priced and perfect for our needs. As we stayed more than one night, it was a delight to come back in afternoon to find our room had already been serviced. Front desk personnel were welcoming and efficient. Would stay here again.
I was impressed, have stayed many places over the years and this was excellent. lots of room, with two bedrooms kitchen, sofa bed. Real nice breakfast of waffles, egg patties sausage , bagels , toast etc. Hard boiled eggs, cereal, apple and orange juice , coffee, yogurt, free cookies in lobby. Friendly, helpful front desk. Great for a family traveling.
I stayed at this property before in 2014, and stayed here again for one night in August 2017 on our way down to Myrtle Beach. I was travelling with my family, which consisted of my wife and three kids, plus my parents. We stayed in a two bedroom suite, while my parents stayed in a separate room. This is an older property, but is reasonably well kept. The night we stayed there was some sort of family reunion, and they were using the picnic area in the parking lot. The noise wasn't terrible, but those with heightened noise sensitivity may take issue. As a reminder for first timers, this location is buried deep in a corporate park, and is somewhat off the main roadway. I suggest pulling up a Google satellite view just to see for yourself. Parking was plentiful, and I was able to back the family truckster into the parking space. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly, and both rooms were clean. We were on the third floor, and noise from the floor above was not noticeable. This hotel is pet friendly, so you may hear an occassional bark, but again, it wasn't anything that I found to be particularly concerning. The two bedroom suite has a narrow galley kitchen, a central living area with pull-out sofa, television, and a small dining table, and a single bedroom. We did not utilize the kitchen other than to use the counter as somewhere to set up the pizza we had ordered. It was a long drive from Connecticut, so we all gathered in our room and ordered pizza. There was enough room for 5 people in the living area to sit back, eat and unwind, though it was a bit tight with 7. Beds were comfortable in both rooms, and a decent, stable internet connection kept the kids from becoming angry after a long day of travel. Other than the guests at the hotel, there is no other background noise, since the hotel is a good distance away from major highways. The hotel is very close to all the shops and restaurants on West Broad Street. Additionally, there is a corporate park a very short walking distance away that has a walking trail that follows the perimeter of two ponds so you can get your Fitbit steps in for the day. We did not utilize any of the amenities. There is an outdoor pool, and breakfast is served in the lobby area. There is also coffee available. This was a good stop on our trip to recharge our batteries and continue on. It is not luxurious by any means, but it definitely fills a role as a clean, comfortable place to spend the night, particularly when you are travelling with a larger family.
My wife and I stayed 5 nights and found that the staff never had a bad day. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite. More than enough room. Accommodations are a bit dated, but clean. We highly recommend TownePlace Suites. .
We stayed at a Towneplace Suites in Florence SC and loved it! This hotel was dirty, old and outdated. I cannot believed that this is a Marriott property. I've always stay at a Marriott due to their quality and reputation. This is the first time I had such a poor experience. Not only are the rooms, hallways and elevator old and dirty but the parking lot had a lot of shady people. I felt unsafe staying at this property!
From the customer service to the accommodations, we had an amazing experience. Keirsten was fantastic. She was at the front desk when we checked in, and warmly welcomed us, recognized our Marriott Rewards status and gave us great accommodations. Our two-bedroom suite was spacious, clean, and provided just what we needed while we were in town. It was the perfect fit for our family of four. The breakfast area, while modest, was sufficient and always had a friendly-faced staff member there to assist. The pool was a great feature for our two kids, as well. We were in town for our annual regional convention, and hope to return next year and stay here again.
We were traveling through Richmond on our way to the beach, and were calling hotels along our route to find one that accepts pets. This one did, but for an exorbitant rate of $100 non-refundable. As someone who's frequently traveled with pets - that rate is HIGH. It's particularly high given the quality of the room. We had a small 2-bedroom suite (1 king, 1 full). The beds were overly soft and bouncy, though the pillows were comfortable enough. The air conditioning was very loud when it would kick on, but seemed to maintain temp without the annoying hot/cold of lots of hotels. We knew we'd need the pull-out couch for one of the kids, so I'd asked if it was made up (we were already past bedtime), and was assured it would be - it wasn't. We found the sheets and tiny blanket to make it up, and borrowed a pillow from one of the beds for it. The room itself seemed clean, but it was very dark and dated. The couch is low and not very comfortable. The rate for the room seemed reasonable at $185, but the pet fee was over the top.
