With its intimate lobby and old-world vibe, the hotel offers a pleasant contrast to the very corporate Omni across the way. Staff were courteous and helpful. The room was comfortable: nice quality bed linens, similar, oversized towels, a good-sized bathroom, and a shower with plenty of water. Spotlessly clean and quiet. The only real drawback is parking, which is limited to valet. We used a parking garage nearby. Will be back, and will try the restaurant next time!

Great location in historic Shockoe Slip across from the Tobacco Company. Very walkable, city seems clean, but as most cities recovering from the effects of the pandemic. Richmond's style still shines through!

Front desk staff very helpful, finding me a room when I arrived early. Facility was okay - AC not working when I was there. On site restaurant (independent from hotel) was fabulous. Chef very accommodating as I was on a low/no iodine diet, and because he makes everything fresh, he was able to make accommodation for the restrictions and still serve an excellent meal.

This is my favorite hotel in downtown Richmond. It's close to the Capitol, shops, and restaurants. Classic decor and stylish rooms. Customer service was fantastic!

The Berkeley is in a great location close to many restaurants, the Capital square, and the river walk They are remodeling somewhat but our bed was old creaky and sunk mattress very uncomfortable. The carpet in our room was lose and a tripping hazard bathroom was clean but very basic. The place is clean but basic

We stayed there for 4 nights. It was walkable to several different eating establishments with a restaurant that was there at the hotel, but wasn’t owned by the hotel. The beds were comfortable, room was clean. Nothing was outstanding. It adequately met our needs for our vacation.

The staff went above and beyond to make our brief stay the most comfortable. The valets and the front desk people helped us find things in our interests and took care of us beyond our room booking. The housekeepers were friendly and accommodating, too.
