Hotel location is on a popular chic cobblestone street with a choice of restaurants and a short two block walk to the capital as well as easy access to the parkways. Staff is welcoming. Restaurant is top notch. I particularly love The Decour. Only suggestion would be a refrigerator in the room.

Enjoyed our time there. We were attending a meeting held in the Omni and couldn't get a reservation there. Glad they were full!

Pleasant experience. Convenient. Nothing more to say.

Very nice hotel. Desk staff friendly and courteous. Would stay there again.

The Berkeley Hotel is a lovely hotel located in Shockoe Bottom. The room was spacious and clean. Bathroom nicely updated as well. Valet parking a wonderful convenience; hard to find parking in Shockoe Bottom. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Alfreda was so welcoming. She is an outstanding ambassador for The Berkeley. Also the breakfast staff was very accommodating. Always look forward to our stay here.

Great stay. Great experience! Staff very welcoming and helpful. Bar staff very engaging. Perfect location to explore downtown area.

Great experience, staff was very nice! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the Richmond area. Clean rooms and close to everything that is downtown. Try Pecan Jacks across the street from the hotel it is a great candy store.

Fantastic hotel. Really enjoyed our stay - clean and very spacious rooms.

Well it used to be in a good location, however quite a few restaurants and store fronts are closed. I worked in Shockoe Slip years ago and these 2 blocks were the place to be then. The room was nice but small with a balcony. I would like a fan in the bathroom. The bed was very comfy and the room very clean. We didn't try the restaurant.

My wife and I had a one night stopover on our way to visit family for Thanksgiving. We were truly delighted by the Berkeley. It's in the Shockoe Slip area of Richmond, newly renovated historic area with lots of brick and re-done buildings full of cafes, restaurants and shops. The whole facility was pristine and very comfortable, and the staff was terrific. We'll definitely stay there again!

This is the second stay at the Berkeley for me. Staff is very accommodating. Quiet rooms. Good for business people and older people. Families may prefer to have a free breakfast available to them, which the Berkeley does not offer. Easy access to the highways. Valet parking available for a fee. However, there are parking garages nearby. I would consider staying there again while visiting Richmond.

The Berkeley Hotel offers a comfortable luxurious experience.

Everything was within walking distance and I took an uber when I needed to go to work , great location and close to Starbucks and an amazing breakfast place!!! (Urban farmhouse )

Loved the maps decorating the Hotel. Great location.

Spacious, well appointed room; friendly and efficient staff.

My wife and I have stayed at the Berkeley a number of times, and always had a reasonably good experience. The price is right and the room and guest service is good. The location is great. In previous stays we found the food OK, but not great, and we generally just ate elsewhere. This stay we were limited by time and had to eat at the hotel. BAD. Crab meat was off and my burger was, at best fair. We would have been better off eating at McDonalds.

The Berkely is the elegant little secret in the old part of RIchmond. On the Cobblestone street opposite older warehouse building in "The Bottom", the Berkely is located near just about everything with a quickie cab ride to everything else. The hotel makes up for in comfort what it may not have in expensive amenities and that is reflected in their rates. A "good", up market dining experience can be had in the restaurant, drinks are what we went for in the bar with some light fare before our theatre experience. If you're looking for interesting and very reasonable dining, great food can be had all over Richmond for less that you would pay at the Berkely. That said, it's hard to beat their room service breakfast - full, hot breakfast w/juice and tea or coffee for $16.75??? How can you NOT get breakfast in bed?? Comfortable and clean rooms, get upgraded to a suite and enjoy the balcony - 6th floor is the best.

We actually had dinner at the Hotel, instead of going out and we were definitely not disappointed. Atmosphere, the food and the service were all Excellent!.

Front desk and restaurant staff were friendly, quick and helpful. While housekeeping & roomswevice were friendly, they were highly inefficient. Two days housekeeping didn't replenish bath amenities or breakfast hanger, Room was never dusted, not even prior to arrival, inside door to bathroom was disgustingly dirty and room service didn't deliver pre ordweee breakfast 2 days without having to call and then it arrived late. Overall the facilities were lovely, I appreciate the smaller hotels with more personal service. This experience wasn't the best I've had their before. I will try them again and hope it has improved.
