The property was lovely but was under renovation, so the restaurant was closed and they didn't serve breakfast. But the suite was great and the hospitality was very warm. It's unfortunate that this lovely boutique property will become a Hilton. But this stay was very nice!!

STAY CLEAR!!!! Arrived to a construction site in the lobby with no access to anything other than my room. I was not given a warning by orbitz or the hotel. The walls on my floor were covered in plastic sheets covering the paint and the room number was a sticky note. The room had new finishes with bathroom, bed, tv, but the noise from the construction during the days made it impossible to work in the room. No rod to hang clothes either. On the first night i found that the shower drain was clogged and dirt coming up from the pipe. I informed the manager and was told it would be fixed the next day. Next night, same issue and even worse, the toilet started to leak and wouldn't flush. I packed my bags and asked for another room and was told they had none and they had no interest in helping me. Disgraceful. Stay clear of this place - even if it was being updated, the new fixtures were not done right, no warning, and the staff couldn't care less. Orbitz got me a partial refund but the experience ruined my entire wknd.

The room alleared to have been recently renovated, but the windows appear to have been overlooked in the renovation. They weren't properly sealed and the road noise that came through them was extremely loud and disruptive. I barely slept.

Room looks great. Perfect location. 4 points for facilities because: you should not run out of toothpaste! It’s a basic necessity for every hotel, let along a 4 star hotel. The room is immaculate and looks amazing, but the wall outside of the room looks kinda deteriorating.

Easy check-in; very nice room; comfortable bed and great bathroom. They are doing some remodeling so the hallways look rough but our room was fantastic. A self-service parking garage is a block away. Safe area. Would stay again.

This hotel was absolutely wonderful and in a perfect location. The Front desk was kind and very helpful on everything level . The room was very quiet and clean — I loved the hotel. The Valet service especially Angel was extremely helpful, kind and courteous and was the best part of my stay at the Berkeley. It’s the small details that matter and valet service like Angel makes the difference in a hotel stay. The Berkeley hotel is my hotel for all my trips to Richmond and make sure to ask for Angel — he is one of the best !!!

We have stayed at the Berkeley for years. This stay was very disappointing. Renovations are underway so check in was noisy. Our room had no hangers, there was no shelf in the shower, and it took 10 minutes running water to get any hot water. The bathroom door had glass panels and automatic motion sensor lights, so when you entered the person sleeping was awake by the lights. The auto on light was on for about 10 seconds so it went off while you were in the bathroom. Poorly designed
