This hotel was nice and clean. I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. There isn't a huge variety for breakfast, but what they have is really nice, including organic yogurt and freshly made juice. The pastries are yummy too. This property is super close the beach, like a five-minute walk down the road, which is great. Whenever I forgot my water bottle or sunglasses, I just left my stuff with my boyfriend, walked back up to the hotel, grabbed it, and came back down. The staff are really, really good as well. Everyone was smiley and friendly, offering recommendations for good places to go for walk or go to eat dinner. The front desk man even came up in the middle of the night to help us with a plumbing issue one night. It was a great stay for a great price and if I come back to Playa del Carmen, I plan on staying here again. Thanks to the people at Barrio Latino Hotel! Excellent hotel!

Very close to downtown. Easy to move around. Walking distance to the beach. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

The hotel was great overall but the only complaint I have is that the housekeeper took something from my toiletries set up. Maybe he thought I wouldn’t notice so I requested to not have my room cleaned the following day as I didn’t want more of my belongings to go missing.

Nice enough. If u get it for a good price. This small hotel is beautiful but doesn't quite reach 4 stars. Hot water is sporadic, it's a pain to leave and pickup keys every time u leave. The noise from the foodhall down the street reaches your room. But the staff is friendly and nice. The ambiance of the bamboo and Terra cotta is refreshing. The ac is strong. And the restaurants close by are affordable. Solid 3.5 stars

Hotel Barrio is cheap and conveniently located. Those are the only positives. Staff are terrible and will not try to assist you in any way or fashion. Rugged hotel conditions with ants and bugs. AC doesn't work, and neither does hot water! Do Not Stay Here!

This hotel was wonderful for its price. The staff and owners made you feel safe and appreciated. Beds were firm, AC worked well and rooms were clean. Went beyond my expectations!

What i didnt like is that they would turn the AC off when we were out and the bed sheets super rough and no hot water

We really enjoyed our stay! Very attentive and great staff! Will book again! Thank you!!

Thank you for the nice words! About that something you mention, it is knew to us but if you went back home and didn't find it, we can double check if you send an email : bags are opened every day before our co workers leave the Hotel , while I underline we trust them and this is also why a picture of the housekeeper with his/her name on it are in the room.

thank you very much. If you are mentioning the Hotel category, you are right. We are a 3 star Hotel adding mid star . Actually this March 14 is the last day to apply for the new Mexican star classification and we will see where we are. We offer a 24/7 reception desk service and suggest to leave the key, but some clients decide to carry it as much as others prefer to leave it, it is up to you. We are getting to know new openings at the corner of the Street and they are listening, seems like a worker of theirs enjoied loud music when closing but now it is calm most of nights. Still a vibrant town, though. Thanks for your feed back and nice words!

Thanks fpr your feedback back. Hot wáter is available but we are aware that sometimes clients preferencia Extreme Hot wáter and then mix with cold wáter. It usually would improve the waste of the vital liquid while off course we strive to deliver high quality services. It goes together with the monitoring of the a/c services because we look after enviromental successfull policies. Room gets to the best in minutes when you are in. Thanks fpr visiting and giving us the opportunity to share our policies .
