I am a local and stayed at this property due to some unforeseen home repairs where I couldn't stay in my home. I had no real expectations going in, just picked it based on being close to my house. When I checked in they asked me what brought me into the city. When I explained that I lived in the area and why I was there, they couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. They knew my situation was a day by day situation and extended my check out times and showed genuine concerned. I ended up staying 4 nights and they really made me and my family feel at home. Despite being super busy with a USTA NCAA tournament, the manager John, along with, both Ryans, Cole, Alex and Dawn greeted me by name every day. Asked me how things were going in the home front and always asked if there was anything they could do to make our stay any better. I highly recommend this hotel if you are coming to the Lake Nona area or have family or friends coming to visit and need a place close by to stay.
Stayed for a 3 day work trip. The hotel still had a new, modern appearance. The room was very large, comfortable, well equipped. Nice walk-in shower. The hotel had a very nice breakfast bar, and a small bistro with a bar was a nice option for catching a bite. Staff were very helpful. I wouldn't have changed anything. Will likely return to this area and will stay here again.
The hotel is top notch! The staff are very friendly and attentive. The rooms are extremely clean and well maintained. The breakfast they provide has a little something for everyone and taste very good. Fresh fruit was the best! The area is very quiet with plenty of areas to run or walk. There are 3 restaurants within the hotel square and a large parking garage (which is very clean as well). I highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay.
This is a beautiful hotel. The room was immaculately clean. I always bring Lysol wipes and do a bit of cleaning just to keep things hygienic (yes, it’s a bit crazy) but can I tell you that nothing was ‘dirty’. I was pretty surprised to see nary a water spot in the room. I appreciated the quiet, the courteous staff and the nice restaurants located right next to the hotel. They have a Boxi Park that has converted shipping containers which house little quick bites, along w a few alcohol stands, live music and entertainment in the form of folks on stilts. I would definitely stay there again.
Oasis of the Seas developed norovirus, so we returned to Orlando a day early. Had a $200 credit, so I searched hotels near MCO for $200. Found this gem. Lake Nona is a swanky new development on the flight path to MCO. $900,000 for a lot. Home packages beginning at $2,400,000. Hotel is 3 years old, right in a small, intimate town (for now). Friendly staff, walking distance (100m) to three restaurants. Turkish, Brewery and Pizza, Nuevo American small plates. Clean, friendly staff, all the normal business hotel amenities and a great hot breakfast. Guessing this is the new model for consolidating the Marriott Residence Inn and Marriott Courtyard brands. Highly recommended. 🧐
This is a uniquely located Residence Inn. It is in the same building as a Marriott Courtyard. They share common staff and sense of arrival or entrance. Expansive lobby. Rooms are like brand new and well kept. Staff friendly welcoming and helpful. Hotel located within a mile from a Large Veterans Administration Complex. Many exciting and off brand restaurants within walking distance of this Lake Nona location. Almost makes you forget you are in the backyard of Orlando. Best of all the airport is eight minutes away and accessible without getting on a toll road!!
We stayed for a week over Christmas and it was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is new and in a nice area, very well kept with easy parking and amenities nearby. The rooms are big and well organized (lots of space for organizing clothes, toiletries, laptop/electronics, etc). Housekeeping did a great job keeping our room clean and all the staff was very friendly, especially at the reception counter. They are also pet friendly for a reasonable fee (100 for the week). They do have a pull out sofa for an extra bed, but wouldn’t recommend sleeping on those for more than a night as the mattress is quite thin, better to just sleep on the couch cushions. Will definitely stay here again.
The location has some amenities and restaurants close by. The joint property with the Courtyard is interesting. The property is well maintained. However, the staff is not well trained and the service is just average.
Booked here for three nights because others in our group chose it. Bad choice! Driving S on Lake Nona Drive no sign indicated hotel so we overshot 1/2 mile. Coming N sign was visible high up. Was greeting by name at reception, a nice touch. Room was fine although laid out strangely, quite different from other suites we've stayed in. Plenty of kitchen facilities we didn't need. What wasn't right? 1. The wifi (we are Marriott Rewards members) was poky and continually asked us to relog. 2.T-Mobile cell service worked only outside, not in the room. 3. The bedding covers the bed with 2" to spare on each side. We shouldn't have had to fight for covers. 4. The shower was dangerously treacherously slippery. A real safety hazard until I put a towel down as a bath mat. 5. The HVAC blasted into the bed area; didn't seem any way to balance. Breakfast area? We've had better in economy motels. Coffee was separate and barely drinkable. The area itself was poorly laid out, congested and cramped. Two toasters barely functioned and the bread selection was minimal: just 2 kinds of bagel, english muffin, & white bread. To add insult to injury, the sausage patty I ate Sunday gave me the runs. In sum the hotel was worth about half the tab we paid. We won't be back.
Wife travels for a living and has to stay here occasionally. Great location and great amenities, however, on her way to work after checking out early in the day, she realized she had left her diamond stud earrings on the nightstand or bathroom sink. She called back to the hotel and was told someone from housekeeping would call her back. No call, so she called again and, surprise, they were unable to locate said earrings. She was reluctant to tell me about her oversight, but when she did, I called and spoke with the General Manager, who told me he would personally check into it. He actually called back the next day, but, again, big surprise, no earrings. Escalated to upper management, who told me, so sorry, too bad, so sad for you. What a crock, as you have a record of who cleaned what room and cameras all over the place. I guess Consuela gets to enjoy my wife's expensive earrings or they've been pawned already.
