The location is great. Everything else is mediocre at best especially for some $400 a night. You can hear construction noise all night long, but this is not the only thing that keeps you up all night. The AC in the room is apparently from last century. This monster (see the picture) that shows up like a huge thing under the window is so loud, so I had to turn it off in order to get some sleep. The shower cabin floor is cheep plastic and really outdates also. Everything else including breakfast is very average. I'm not coming back to this hotel
My wife and I stayed at this hotel while attending the New York City Wine and Food Tasting Festival the weekend of October 14 and 15, 2017. We always stay at a Marriott, because I am a Marriott Gold Rewards member. I did mobile checkin at 10:45 am, and I received a text notification about 10 minutes later that our room was available. We arrived at the hotel shortly before 1 PM, and we were greeted by the friendly front desk staff. Since I did mobil checkin, we were immediately given our key cards to our room. We were assigned Room 1901, which is an Executive Suite facing the Empire State Building. My wife and I loved our room, as it was very modern, clean, and had a nice sofa to relax. Moreover, my wife and I had no problems sleeping that night, as the bed was very comfortable and the noise level was non existent. In addition, the location of the hotel is ideal, as it is not on a busy thoroughfare, and one is within easy walking distance of New York's main attractions. Furthermore, a free breakfast is included, and there is an ample amount of food to pick from.. The hotel allowed us to store our luggage free of charge after we checked out, so we attend an event for the Wine and Food Festival. My wife and I will be returning to New York City on Christmas Eve, and we will be staying at the SpringHill Suites.
We selected this hotel for our recent visit to NYC. The location is excellent and is only a few blocks from Penn Station so access to the subway system was quick and easy. On arrival, the hotel had some repair work going on in the foyer following a leak, this was managed well and didn't cause any issues to the hotel guests. The breakfast area was busy as mentioned in previous review's, but it was good for a quick bite before starting a day of sight seeing. Room's Our room was a good size and was clean and comfortable. The A/C unit was quiet noisy and I imagine that this would be an issue during the middle of summer. The view from our window was of the Empire State Building. We would recommend this hotel and would not hesitate booking this hotel again on return to the Big Apple.
Our room had a great view of the Empire State Building! Rooms were small, but good sized bathrooms. On the first night, our shower drained slowly and after telling the staff they were quick to remedy the problem. Good breakfast, and although the area is a little crowded, we never had to wait for a table. Centrally located to many of the tourist sites in midtown. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location, walk to NYC Library, Garment district (can you spell Mood❤️), Times Square et al. Room fairly small but this NYC so what can you do (the 800sf flat across the street goes for &800k 😳) Would stay here again!
This hotel is located in midtown so it's easy to walk to Penn Station or Times Square. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast is included, but is usually very crowded. They need to reorganize the food layout. The staff way very friendly. The hotel is competitively priced -- all are expensive. We did not park here - took train in from New Jersey. Parking is $70/nt
We stayed at the Springhill Suites for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. There was a complimentary breakfast each morning, which we appreciated. The room had a very modern feel, but was somewhat small. The sitting room portion with the couch seemed a bit forced. The location was pretty good, as it was close to the garment district and Times Square. It's a bit far away from the subway, being an 8-15 minute walk depending on which subway you're going to and how fast you're walking. I would stay here again.
Nice staff, perfect localization, great room, bed, shower. Nothing to complain at all. Used to go to New York and stay at Sofitel, this was my first time at Spring Hill, and even though the room is smaller, the price and localization makes it a smarter choice.
Great location - we had an amazing view of the Empire State Building from both the rooms. Clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. The only negative, in our opinion, was the breakfast area, it is too small which meant people were standing around waiting to grab the first table to become free.
The hotel is very centrally located between 5th and 6th Avenue and Broadway. So it is ideally located for travellers to get around easily, on foot, by subway or by taxi. My room is spacious and very tidy and clean. There is also a communal laundry as a substitute to dry cleaning. There is also a small fitness centre. Breakfast is also included, with continental breakfast. So you get all the bare essentials when you stay here. A good and nice hotel overall with fantastic location.
