Room smelled bad . Staff was not friendly everything looked so cheap!!!

This hotel delivered what you would expect from a 2.5 star hotel. It was clean, but run down. There was a smell of cigarette smoke in some areas, dirty elevator and dirty hall carpet. The fridge made a loud vibration noise. The staff were very friendly and service was quick and professional. The only negative comment I have re staff would be the female employee working at the front counter both Sun and Monday mornings (Oct 2nd and 3rd) was unprofessional in that she complained about the way the hotel was run (sometimes overbooked and therefore she can't offer an extended stay to guests) and complained about the fact that they offered breakfast (ironically she complained to the guests that were getting breakfast!).The other issue I had was with the booking experience. Not sure who was responsible for the misinformation, but at the time of booking I was told it was a 3.5 star hotel that offered free continental breakfast. A quick internet search confirmed my definition of a continental breakfast to be a number of things; with the common theme of coffee with fresh pastries, jam, fruit juice, etc.The breakfast offered was anything but fresh.Yes there was fresh coffee/tea, but no milk (just powdered stuff or coffee mate; which is actually corn syrup and vegetable oil, not dairy), but the other options were: packaged oatmeal (which had hard clumps in it and no expiry date), granola/fruit bars and instant hot chocolate. At check in I was told breakfast included fresh fruit; never saw any.

There was no ice no kitchen dishes or anything to cook with. No coffee cups or coffee in the room.

When I first got there I was about an hour earlier then the check in time. The woman at the front desk told me that I had to wait till 3 to check in and then continued her conversation with someone she knew. I then asked if I could leave my book bag there and come back later and she told me follow me. She opened a door and told me to put it in this room. I forgot I needed to charge my phone cause it was around half charged. At this point in an annoyed way she shut the door and said I don't have time for this I have a lot of work to do. She then went back to the front desk to complain to her friend or whoever about so many things that had nothing to do with working. I began charging my phone and had to listen to that crap for like 10 minutes. I left with my phone at 50% cause I didn't want to be there anymore. I got in late around 1:30 a.m and this other woman working the night shift helped me. She was very helpful and answered all of my questions. The room was clean but given the time I just went to sleep. I didn't have any problems from that moment to when I left around 7:30a.m. Oh and that same rude woman was there in the morning only this time she was nice. I guess she was having a bad day yesterday. Either way I don't appreciate things like that when you consider your job is to be helpful/attentive to guests at all times. If it wasn't for the night shift front desk rep I would have given zero stars. I won't stay here again. Kinda far and poor customer service.

1 night stay before heading to airport. Great location next to freeway system. Easy access to Mall of America, Mystic Casino, MSP Airport and short drive to downtown Minneapolis. Rooms have full kitchen for families who prefer cooking. Bed was comfy and property was quiet. No amenities however to really speak of other than grab & go breakfast. Overall not bad for the price.

Easy location to find, clean, quick breakfast to grab when you run out the door

It was clean, it was cheap and it was right off the freeway. Easy to find in a safe neighborhood.

There was an issue with out bedding, called for new needing-you would think they would look up my room and see the size of the bed...nope brought wrong bedding for me to make my own bed. Didnt even have someone come and make the bed like it should have been done the first time. Bathroom floor was so stained and dirty it seemed gross to even be barefoot. The shower/tub had a crack in it and looked like they just slapped on some glue. The water pressure was terrible. Staff didnt seem educated at all. Very bare minimum everything at this hotel.

The bed was uncomfortable and noisy. The location was good tho. Several nice restaurants nearby as well as the Mall of America. I think next time I'll spend a little more to get a decent bed. Also the elevator and other non-smoking areas smelled a little like smoke. The kitchenette was a nice touch--if you planned on cooking.

I am afraid I have to blaim [...]for a major part of the problem. When I made the reservation I asked if there was a shuttle service to and from the Airport. I was told "YES" It cost me $54.00 in cab fares to get to the hotel and back to the airport. The Hotel had NO Ammenitys not even a WAKE UP CALL SERVICE. Never stayed in a stinky place like this . Reaked of Smoke. [...]

Room keys were not available or given. No working remote control for the TV. Long waits at front desk due to no staff at desk.

we just wanted something close to the M O A and this fit the bill, I have only one complaint and that is that the hall ways were not very pleasent as far as the smell factor goes, but the rooms was just fine

Came for a wedding. Needed cheap and clean. Average service, BIG ROOM!, I'd stay again.
