National Hotel, An Oceanfront Resort

We stayed in the pool side cabana rooms. They were very spacious and quiet. Although you can sometimes hear music from neighboring hotels at night, the rooms were well sound proofed to minimize noise, and the music ended at night anyway. The decor in the rooms and especially the lobby and dining rooms was very elegant and masterfully restored. The staff were extremely friendly and the service was excellent. The location was also close enough to Ocean Drive (walking distance 10 min), but entering the hotel and pool area at night usually was quiet enough to serve as an oasis.

Our stay at national hotel Was very nice! The room was a bit on the small side. The housekeeping lady was very nice, she did a very good job. Martha was her name. I didn't like that there was no parking anywhere..

Hotel is in a great location on the beach and staff are very friendly. Pool area is lovely and plenty of attentive pool staff with outside bar/kitchen serving v.good food. Rooms were clean/comfortable/functional. I would definitely go back and stay here.

With low-key elegance in an Art Deco setting, the National is on the beach and has 2 swimming pools -one heated for this season. The hotel now also offers a view of famous actresses’ portraits by artist Elisabetta Fantone to top the esthetic experience. Rooms are small but comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Too bad some details are below par: the basement to be used to access the pool area has a floor that needs to be repainted, the drawers in my room walk-in closet were stuck and could not open, showers in the basement bathrooms had no hot water. The Hotel often feels empty (especially the dining area at night), though they have live music almost every night in a beautiful bar. If you want the action, there is the Delano next door, with music thumping across the fence all afternoons. This is a kids friendly hotel. For breakfast and beyond, go to the Italian bakery across the street on Collins for the best sandwiches, focaccia and pastries in all North America!

Great service. Nice lobby. Clean facility. Nice pool area. Liked the live music at night. Overall, great experience for the price.

The hotel is situated walking distance from Lincoln Road. It is a great location. The pool is nice and the manager there is on the ball. The beach service is great too. The rooms are very outdated and old. I had to switch rooms and the second room didn’t have air conditioning. The rooms are in need of major remodeling. They are dirty too. The food for breakfast was average. I think they should lower the cost of the hotel rooms or do a significant renovation of the facility.

Just a grand, historical hotel built in 1939 but immaculately kept up. Loved the art deco portraits throughout of American icons. So cool. With two pools and backing to the breathtaking beach and ocean, the view is to die for!

Hotel staff was great, smaller pool was heated, and the hotel was right on the ocean. Overall a great experience after moving to this hotel from The Beacon on Ocean Drive.

Excellent location, great staff. Bad housekeeping, pool was closed for a private event and we couldn’t use it. That was very frustrating. Old furniture in the room that needs replacing, the bathroom needs at a minimum some painting.

Down for a family get together. Pleasant room. Staff very outgoing and friendly. Halls smelled of disinfectant for two days

Every day I left my room, when I came back the key wouldn't work and they would only give me bath towels. No washcloths or hand towels for some reason, no explanation at all. Every day for 3 days. The room was clean but nasty blood looking stains on the bench at the end of the bed. Nice pool and great location were the best things. Won't return. Natulius definitely better!!

Very clean and friendly staff, def enjoyed my stay

We enjoyed the pianist Freddie. Great pianist & singer.

great hotel with great amenities. Historical property which is a boost and the pool is extraordinary.

Beautiful hotel on sunny Miami Beach. I love the charm of the older buildings there. The National fit right in. Basically felt like a throwback to the 1930's with all the modern amenities and comforts. Would definitely stay there again!

The only problem (besides having to leave when your stay ends...), is the big towel issue, because they usually give you less than needed (we are a party of four, and we got almost every day, just two).

Had a few issues with hotel amenities and house keeping which were never really resolved

Front desk staff very nice and professional, when they notice my birthday was the following day they sent a bottle of sparkling wine to my room. This is my 2nd time here.

muy buen hotel con un servicio increible y las habitaciones son fenomenales le doy 5 estrellas a este hotel excellent

It was ok. Hotel smells really good. Jose was very nice and friendly
