It was my first time in a hostel. The bathrooms smelled of poop from papers in the garbage. They were so small that you had to keep the door open to pee. To get on the top bunk, I had to climb up with shoes on and jump down to get to the ground. I asked to switch bunks and they said my bed was ready. However, when I checked, the last person's sheets and blankets were still on the bed. There is a language barrier with the maids. This is scary since we all want cleanliness in a hostel. The breakfast is basic continental. Lots of noise during the night but you can wear ear plugs. Showers are coed as are the rooms. There were 20 beds in the part I stayed in. I asked for a towel twice and wasnt brought one. I wont stay here again. I would like to stay where the maids understand english. I mean who then knows what is cleaned andd what hasnt been? no offense to anyone. They also didnt understand what a fitted sheet was either. Flore didnt seem to care much about her work. The front desk gal asked if the beds were ready and she just responded with no. There was no urgency from her to get it cleaned. She had that"i just dont care look on her face". The security guy enjoys ordering people around. The location is really wonderful though. Close to beach, clubs and tours.

Horrible experience. This hostel ruined my trip to Miami. I booked it for the week. I arrived at the hotel and stood there for ten minutes waiting to check in. The power was out. There were no lights in the hostel and I could not even charge my phone. The staff was rude. The man that showed me to my "bunk" tried hitting on me and made me feel uncomfortable. After finally settling in, an alarm went off for almost an hour. At this point I already wanted to leave after not even being there an hour. My room key repeatedly stopped working. Every time I went to use my room key I had to go to the front desk and have them fix it. At least five or six times. Twin bed very uncomfortable. Felt like no AC in the building very hot and humid. Breakfast was a joke they give you fruit loops and toast. The people around my bunk were rude and very creepy. I wanted a refund so I could stay in a different hotel. They refused to give me a refund despite how disappointed I was in the hostel. I booked monday-thursday and only stayed the first night because every other hotel in South Beach was completely booked. I stayed at the Catalina for the rest of my trip and will never ever ever return to Posh South Beach. I highly highly suggest no one ever wastes a penny on this dump.

Great hostel in SoBe yet quite night for sleeping, nice pool to refresh after day at beach block away.

My first hostel experience and was a tad hesitant as I did not know just what to expect. The stay far exceeded all my expectations. Was very clean, neat and wonderful pleasant hostel staff. And surprisingly I slept very well. Just this alone would be worth the price. The added feature is all the wonderful people I got to meet at the hostel. Everyone was enjoying themselves and so friendly. Met a few that we are planning to meet here at the post the same week next year. The hostel environment for some is far better than being alone in a hotel room. Morning, noon, nite and well into the nite there was always someone to hang out with. Just sit around and talk and exchange life experiences. Never felt uncomfortable or lacking in my own personal space. Surely will be hostelling again and visiting the Posh. The Posh clearly sets a very high standard.

We were told, no Floridians allowed after booking there then refused to give us a refund. It was late so they rented us a room for $212 and then after all that I was eaten Alice by bed bugs. I have photos of the bed bug bites when I got up after a night’s stay that I’ll post.

For what and where it is, you can't get any better. The only complaint I have is noise. Noise from the street and other bars, Latin music bumping until 3am. Noise from being in a dorm and close to the bathrooms and showers. This is my first experience with a hostel, and very much appreciate the "poshness," but I now know to ask for a bunk far away from the facilities.

Im not going to go into detail but it just wasnt my thing. Im not a fan of inconsiderate people which helped motivate my decision to go with an airbnb right away. I felt like i was back in boot camp

This hostel is very close to the beach, bus stop to downtown miami, close to all restaurant & cafe. So everything is perfect

I was very pleased with my stay here at Posh. The staff is very friendly, helpful and have personality ! (Estzer, Monica, Gabriele, George, Ghisline). There are more but I didn't get to know all their names. The staff makes your stay even more enjoyable! Really attentive and look out for you. The hostel is VERY clean! Ghisline had it sparkling every day! Things are constantly being cleaned. The location is one block from the beach. There is a bus that goes around South Beach for 25 cents ! You can walk everywhere. We really enjoyed the gorgeous pool, super-clean roomy kitchen and large fridge, the free happy hour next door at Whitelaw lounge was very fun! The bartenders created a great atmosphere. Nate and Ethan have very outgoing personalities and made us feel like family. I liked the other bartenders as well. Try the chicken taco's there, so yummy! The shuttle back and forth was very useful. As with any hostel, take earplugs if you are sensitive. I sleep with white noise on an Ipod shuffle on all my stays in hostels. I don't hear a peep! I just clip it to my pj's. I had bed 9 and 10. I like the area in the back. At first I had a top bunk but than changed to a lower one. The drawer provided fits a lot ! The price - excellent ! I loved it here!

Difficult to locate, not much facilities Rooms are clean, and location is great Have free shuttle to airport

I've probably stayed in about five hostels, including this one, and this was by far the best hostel I've ever stayed at. The staff was awesome and the place is very clean. There are great amenities like WiFi, a rooftop pool, free happy hour and beach towel rentals next door! You get a towel but no washcloth so bring your own. Also the location is perfect. Right in the heart of south beach and only one block from Ocean Dr. and Wet Willies. The beds are not as comfortable as hotel beds so I don't think I'd stay here for a week or more, but it's great for a quick/short getaway!

This was a really nice hostel for quality of stay. The common room is well furnished and aesthetically pleasing. The beds are a 6 on a scale of 1-10 comfort. It is clean and you are hidden away from most of the noise from the bars and clubs on the beach while still being a 1 minute walk from it all.

My friends had booked their Miami trip months in advanced and I booked mine 2 months prior. At first I was hesitant because I've never stayed in a hostile, but when I arrived it was nice. I had trouble locating it but I asked around and they were able to help. They have dormitory of 20/30 and 8 ppl. I stood in the room with 8 ppl. If you are going to be out and just need a place to crash then this is the place to stay. My friends stayed at the Majestic Hotel and you could barely move around in there. They even said next time they should stay at Posh. There are a lot of people from all around the world who stood there and I had the pleasure of meeting 2 from my dormitory. Most of the time the place was empty because everyone is out. The place was quiet and clean. Will definitely be staying here next year on my next Miami trip.

It was my first time at a hostel, and Posh set the high standard. The staff was very friendly and informative, the place was clean throughout the day, and the people I've met were very nice. The location of Posh was perfect for those that want to be near the action of South Beach. The beach was right behind the hostel and a great hot spot. Overall, they made my experience amazing.

This Hostel is in the prime area of south beach. It's also got a fantastic roof-top pool. All of the other guests are interesting young people, and there are club promoters that hook you up with great deals. I went to Liv for $35 in a limo plus 2 hours open bar at the Whitelaw Hotel with these guys! The bathrooms feel like you're showering in a high-end gym or spa. It's all very nice and feels almost brand new. There's also a gorgeous gourmet kitchen for communal use as well. If you have 1-2 people looking for a cheap place to crash, this is better than AirBnB. If you have 3 or more, you're better off just getting a regular hotel.

Is nice hostel very cool people. You can meet there, the Staff was very helping all the time! I recommend the hostel for all the people who just want to relax, and sleep

Very comfortable hostel. It's located close to the beach. It was perfect place to sleep and to relax.

This hostel is a great value - continental breakfast is included, it's about a 3 minute walk to the gay beach, and the service is just very friendly and attentive. The facilities are also maintained throughout the day so it's pretty clean.

Stayed in a hostel before in Miami and it was absolutely disgusting. This one however was amazing. The bathroom, and shower area seemed new, very well maintenanced and clean. Very clean throughout the whole place actually, seemed like the maids were constantly cleaning. The nicestand most helpful managers. Beautiful kitchen area and lounge area. And the best part is it isn't a party hostel so u can definetely get some rest if you need it or you're in the perfect location to hit ocean blvd or one of the local clubs. Pretty bit beds for a hostel, I'm 5'11" and had plenty of room. Huge locker storage space for your belongings. Complimentary breakfast could greatly be improved but other than that, pretty perfect.

Upon entry this hostel seemed very "POSH". The decor was nice and very clean. Gabrielle took me downstairs where my room would be, he was very pleasant and gave me plenty of info. The bed and linens were clean (except for the blanket which smelled of feet or corn chips), had I complained im sure I would have gotten a clean one along with an apology. I opted to leave it in the drawer and use a flat sheet as a cover. Great location also!

We’re disappointed to learn that you did not have a better stay Laura. Hostels are a shared social environment. We offer a complimentary continental breakfast daily for a quick bite before guests head out to explore our city. Our accommodations are made up of bunk beds with a ladder for ease of getting on/off the top bunk. Our housekeeping staff is available throughout the day and is attentive to our guests needs. Most of our staff is bi-lingual, but if there were a language barrier, we would've asked that you made our front desk aware of your needs and we would've fulfilled your request. We are glad to hear our wonderful location was a positive point to your stay. Thank you for your feedback.

Hi Aliana. We're disappointed to learn that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Hostels are a unique shared experience and while it is right for some, it is not for everyone. Although you were unable to complete your trip with us, we do hope you enjoyed your trip to sunny Miami. We appreciate your feedback.

Good day Mike.Thank you for taking time to give us review, however we are very concerned about your allegations as we do not have bed bugs. Upon prompt investigation and assessment from our independent pest control contractor, we were glad to have found absolutely no traces of bed bugs in our hostel. We appreciate the opportunity to inspect our premises, all of our mattress are brand new and and all rooms receive frequent preventive treatment. This procedure is of utmost importance to our housekeeping and maintenance team." We have never had this problem in the hostel and we are among the best and cleanest Hostel in south beach. You can check our other guests reviews who agree with me. Cheers! Kedi M
