A lovely place, stayed in a cottage, which was lovely, however, a little loud being right by what I believe were large kitchen ventilation fans. The cottage was tastefully renovated and clean and had a gear little hot tub outdoors. We loved visiting the birds at the aviary and the beach service was wonderful.

On my way to key west I stayed at the Fisher island club where I picked up boat to key west. Omar (best hotel every man ever) picked me up at the ferry dock took me through this island residence paradise. Small luxurious 15 room hotel spectacular in every way. Total and complete privacy with downtown Miami and south beach across the channel. This is Florida's best kept secret. Food and amenities abound in this ultra private preserve. Wish I could have stayed longer like a month!!!

This is a germ only 10'min from downtown Miami. You need to take a ferry boat to reach the island (2 min distance) and once you are there its a complete relaxing feeling. Its like you took a plane and left Miami but on the other hand is so close to everything. The service of the hotel is excellent. There are many sport activities to do (eg.tennis, golf). We loved the fact that we get our own cart to explore the island. The rooms are spacious and quite. We will definitely re-visit.

My wife and I had 2 nights in a courtyard villa with private jacuzzi, Villa Capri. It's hard to believe that busy chaotic Miami is so close. The hotel is fantastic, very high standards. The 7 minute ferry takes you to the island retreat with only 15 rooms of suites. Staff were excellent, very accommodating. We ate at Porto Cuervo and Garwood Lounge, fantastic meal at both. Recommend Fisher Island without hesitation.

Quite the experience. Remote, exclusive, private, and elegant. The first impression is a great one, with lots of anticipation, as the only access to the island is via ferry. Much security. The island is small, and intimate. Very sophisticated, and decidedly upscale. The hotel is exquisite. The accommodations are top shelf. The amenities are first-class, including golf, tennis, and beach. One of the best experiences of all times. Don't forget your wallet!!! All this said, lots of value.

My family and I stayed in suite 202 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our suite was spacious and had recently been redone. The island was very quiet and we enjoyed playing golf, swimming and eating at Renato's, Trattoria, the sushi beach bar as well as ordering in room service.

The resort is exceptional with private ferry, the villa was just huge /privat pool, wonderful master suite, dressroom, jacuzzi etc. The spa, and tennis center was amazing too. And nice restaurants with italian food called Portofino.

Fisher Island could be named as Dream Island. The place is a dream come true. The room is huge, beautiful and very luxurious with huge bathrooms. I loved the golf cart and the many restaurants they have on site. The only problem is the price, otherwise I could stay there all my life.

Stayed here with a friend and his family for a couple of nights last month. As expected, the island is beautiful and the hotel is simply amazing. We stayed in a cottage which was great and included a private courtyard with a hottub. As you can expect, the service was very attentive although the hotel is very expensive. We had a golf cart which we used to explore this island and get around everywhere which was fun. The beach was beautiful with white sand and blue waters. The waiters came around frequently to take drink orders. Fisher Island club was an escape to a different world.

No more glasses, no more silverware, no more napkins explained the waiter "but it is not my fault . . . We just can't handle this many people." The Beach Club was a zoo where it literally took hours to get a table and get fed. When the food arrived haphazardly after several reminders, both the quality and presentation were good, but the struggle wasn't worth it. The salad bar closed after ordering but before we could fill our plates and we were told "your server should have warned you," to which the server responded "they're not supposed to close the salad bar." The bill came replete with errors (including a charge for non existent salad bar) and extra food that never arrived that required a careful audit.
