1. You book to stay in the Sapphire but they own the whole block of flats. You might stay in the Emerald or Pearl Hotel. 2. Small apartment. We gad to rearrange the whole room to fit our luggage. 3. Bad breakfast. They only do eggs and white bread. They also offer cornflakes and yogurt but the yogurt was close to being sour. 4. Horrible beds that is worn out. Flat cushions. 5. Moldy bathroom. 6. They don’t make up the beds every day. We stayed for 5 nights and they did not change the linen. The one day they did not give us a second towel. We had to shower using one towel. 6. Extremely expensive for what you get! 7. Extremely noisy. We had the worst five nights sleep ever.
I booked this hotel as I needed to be in Hammersmith early. I knew I had booked a single bed I knew I had booked a small room I knew the hotel was on s main road. Was it noisy? No Was there traffic noise/ hotel noise? No Was it dirty and uncomfortable? No Was it value for money in a main area of London suitable for my needs? Yes All the people moaning about room size, noise etc. Your in a cheap hotel in a capital city what do you expect. Thankyou for easy check in and out And a nice breakfast
Terrible staff experience. Be careful with this hotel. İf you make any mistake like room size or people amount they change it with very high prices and they keep saying that they are protected by terms and conditions. They never help you with any small changes and they are really after 10,20 pounds. I strongly don't recommend. We booked a room there it was 50pounds per night. We have chosen a room for two adults and one child. We have made the payment but they said that they can't accept child for that room. And they offered me different room with +60 pounds. I kindly asked them to refund my money because it wasn't my mistake. They said after a while they offered me the same room with +30pounds but in 30 mins I had to accept it. I couldn't accept I couldn't pay 80 pounds and they didn't refund my money.I have begged them. I couldn't get my money back. I didn't stay in London because of them.
Simply appalling. Dingey, dirty, no mattress or pillow protectors. Wouldn't want my worst enemy to stay here. My wife refused to sleep in the bed. They offered us 3 different rooms after we complained about the 1st, but all were equally as bad. Had circumstances allowed we would have moved to another hotel!
We had stayed here before about 3 years ago and enjoyed our stay then. We decided to stay again as it was close to Westfield and where our daughter lives. This time we were given a tiny room. The bed was not even a double, very small. Overall there was a feeling of being cramped in the small room. There is no lift if you have heavy luggage to take upstairs. The corridors are narrow. Reception gives the impression they could not care- our fridge in the room did not work as it had a plug which did not fit the socket. I asked about it twice over the 5 nights we stayed but they could not be bothered to sort it out. The high speed internet wifi was about as fast as dial up in 2001, I gave up waiting for pages to load. A highlight was the room had a fan and breakfast was included.
I want to complain about my stay at Sapphire hotel. The management of the hotel is from Pakistan. The guy, who is change of the rooms came to my room every evening pretending he wants to check the heating (which was off btw), the internet router or something else.. He came every single evening! One night he knocked the door at 11:15 PM!! The reason why he came every evening he suspected that my friend (who lives in London) wants to stay in the room... But when you see the photos of the room and bed, you will understand that it’s not possible to stay for 2 people. The bed is smaller than a child’s bed!! They give only 1!!!!! towel (so I’m supposed to wipe my face and feet with the same towel... well obviously for people from Pakistan it’s normal), and there is absolutely NO space in the room as it’s TINY. So this guy appears at 11:15pm, my friend who walked me to the hotel was standing in doorway, about to leave. The manager started usual pretending that he wants to check something. Im sorry, but it’s 11PM, some guy knows the door, how would u feel? I told him that I’m fed up with his every night checks and he started threatening me with the Police!!! Such behaviour of the staff is not acceptable! I’m asking the administration to check this hotel, it’s run by wrong people! And I’m sure there are lots of violations there. Rooms are not being cleaned, carbage bin in the room is not taken out by staff, they didn’t register me there as a guest, nobody took my details, strange checks by Pakistan guy every night etc... Look at the mess in this hotel, please note that the bed stands right near the windows and they are not good as the wind blows through the frame, as the result I got a bad cold. I asked to turn heating on, as it was 7 degrees Celsius outside, but the didn’t. The reception in this hotel is a small room full of people from Pakistan watching the hotel camera screens. About breakfast.. it’s done by cleaners. Girls who clean the rooms cook breakfast for u. Do they have permission to work with food? Licence? Medical check? I doubt. And breakfast is eggs swimming in oil and some old croissants.
Stayed 2 nights booked Sapphire Hotel, on arrival told room in adjoining Hotel 3/4 buildings away. Friendly staff on arrival, room at front on main road very noisy as window lock broken and couldn’t close. Comfortable bed and clean room, below average WiFi intermittent usage, very good breakfast attentive staff. Good location for own purposes maybe a little overpriced.
Having read recent reviews I was a little apprehensive but booked a single room as it was so cheap! I was glad I did as the hotel is very clean and tidy (perhaps its recently been re-decorated?) all set within 5 mins of Goldhawk Rd Tube. Having booked a single room I was expecting the usual cupboard in the basement but I had a nice sized room with very comfy bed, little fridge, TV with DVD player and immaculate, if small, en. suite shower/wc. No noise at all from my neighbours/outside, although I was at the back of the building. I stay in this type of hotel a lot when staying in London for work and this is the first one that I felt inclined to have breakfast in as I've generally wanted to get out of the others as soon as possible! The breakfast room looked new and was clean, bright and modern with a glazed roof. A really warm welcome from the staff who offered toast, eggs cooked to order and beans, with cereal, pasteries, yoghurt, fruit juice tea and coffee freely avalilable - this is all for £40ish a night so its a little unrealistic to expect more in inner London. Like others I arrived at the Sapphire and followed the sign to a neighbouring hotel the Pearl). I didn't find the 20 meter walk too troubling and I suspect that all the hotels in the cluster are identical so was satisfied I wasn't missing out on anything by not staying at the booked hotel. I received a perfectly friendly greeting - one thing to remember, as someone else has already said, do take photo ID.
Dear All, This hotel seems to be four hotels in one, I stayed here on business for three nights, room was clean, breakfast was cereal, tea or coffee and eggs beans and toast. Staff were ok, did not interact too well with their customers, basic hotel, and was as expected to me.
The worst hotel (if we can call it like that) in the world. Terrible!!!! Arrogant staff and such a messy and disgusting/dirty place!! My first and last time for sure!!! They even give you basic things like toilet papers!! That’s service it’s crazy guys
