Beautiful building and clean I was on the very top floor - the stairs were very narrow and the lighting was poor. The room was beautiful.

To hot for summer !
Positives, Good location for Kings cross and central London, Breakfast was great and lots of choices, Friendly staff. Negatives, Dated furniture in room, broken and damaged window, lack of ventilation, Noisy bathroom extractor fan, Broken bathroom door handle, Shower curtain kept falling down, lack of oscillating fans in rooms when we arrived due to the high external temperatures but we did ask for one which was then provided but still not sufficient as heat was unbearable, Only 1x double socket in room for a small family to you and the USB ports were temperamental and did not charge phones etc overnight and had to use the 1x double socket to power the fan leaving only one socket !

I stayed with my parents who are in late 70s and requested room without using too many stairs. They are very kind to give us nearest room from the reception and it was very clean and nice. Overall very good and comfortable stay. We could hear upstairs room noise and water sounds when they use bathroom, but those are normal to be in old building in the UK. Besides that good hotel and very convenient to both Kings cross and Euston station.

We were given a key to our room, to open the door & find someone else in the room!! They had given us the wrong key!! Totally embarrassing! Went to reception & got the right key & room number. 10mins later, a knock on the door & reception had given a visitor the wrong room number again! Breakfast staff were rude - told us where to sit instead of asking!!

I really enjoyed the stay. Property is nicely renovated with nice decors. Staff helpfull and location great- walking distance to 3 major train stations, however very calm crescent.

Short trip
Lovely hotel in a nice area of London. Short walk from Euston/ Kings Cross station. A bit of noise from nearby pub and guests not considerate to other rooms and banging doors and talking loud in public areas, but no fault of hotel. Room comfortable with black out curtains. Didn't use breakfast facilities. Luggage can be left prior and after stay.

This was a reasonable place to stay and the breakfast was good. The receptionist was helpful with maps and dinner suggestions. We were given a fan upon request and a phone cord. Staff was very friendly. The problem was when I couldn’t sleep and went outside it was difficult to figure out how to get back in the building

2 night stay for show at The London Palladium
Efficient check-in with a very friendly welcome & helpful information given. Pleasant lounge area near reception. Our room was on the top floor so up several stairs, quite narrow & winding towards top. Room was lovely, appeared recently decorated with good quality, modern carpets, curtains & furniture. Crisp, white cotton sheets & comfortable bed. Shower room small but perfectly functional, even though water pressure not great. The room & en-suite were very clean. Nice to be able to open window for fresh air. Good sized tv & tea/coffee making facility in room. Drawers & plenty of open hanging space for clothes. Breakfast was included in our room price & was served in the bright, modern basement dining room. Lovely choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, pastries, bread, fresh juice, teas & coffees, and a hot self service English breakfast buffet, which was good quality, well cooked and regularly replenished. Staff were smart & efficient and kept the area very clean & tidy. We would definitely return to The Mentone Hotel as it is in a quiet, tree lined crescent but so convenient being only a short walk from Kings Cross/St Pancras Stations. Also within easy walking distance of Central London with many pubs, cafes, restaurants & shops nearby. We also found it good value by London standards.

Decent Stay for 1 Night
Hotel was easy to find, in a nice quiet area near the University and St. Pancras Station. The room was very nicely decorated, comfortable bed and had a nice bathroom with good water pressure. I had requested a bottom room with few stairs and the room I was given was great in the evening. It was a bit loud in the morning as it was on the way to the dining room and there was construction outside my window which I wasn't informed of. That was a bit of an annoyance but overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.
