The “sleeps 4” is actually a sofa bed with a double bed so not really 2 real beds. Wish it was more clear. The eco friendly option- I picked for one night only but our room was not made for 2 days despite I called and the front desk said it was going to be made the next day. In the end, I got a bowl of ice cream delivered to my room for 10 pounds. Not worth the Eco friendly option. Ok stay. Close to train station.

The leaking toilet was a big red flag. Then not being able to turn the lights off because of their ridiculous button system drove this rating down further. I will say that the room was decent otherwise, the breakfast was very good (for a buffet at a hotel), and the breakfast staff kept everything stocked well. The rest of the hotel seemed mostly clean but very underwhelming in all aspects.

Beware the hot weather. I was given a top floor room in full sun. A mobile air-con unit was in the room, but it was not up to the job. The room was 30C and very hard to sleep in. Luckily, the staff provided a stand alone fan. Also, the lift was broken and no help was offered to carry my 25kg bag up 5 floors.

I love the location and ease of getting to the station across the street. It’s modern and a well maintained property. My only concern was having booked 2 rooms, at check in because they couldn’t find a request to keep us together, we weren’t. The first night the kids didn’t even sleep in the extra room and we had to move the next day. That part was a pain. The manager was very sweet but I would say it’s likely typical when booking 2 rooms that you want them together. That part was annoying.

The gym didn’t have AC that worked and it was really hot. The staff kept telling me for days that they would turn the AC on and it would cool down shortly but they were just lying to me. On the 4th day I went to the manager and that’s when they realized it was actually broken and had to order a part. By this time my it was my last day. Just would have preferred if the staff didn’t lie to me day after day.
