Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Very close to Gloucester Rd Tube making it very convenient. No CNN on TV was unfortunate. Excellent breakfast buffet.

The hotel was beautiful overall but we were disappointed when we walked into our room and noticed a severely stained carpet.

Close to the underground. Very easy to travel around London. Hotel staff was very friendly.

Good location! Great and nice staff, really recommend! Except bed is too soft!

Hotel was perfect for us. The tube and bus stops were 1/2 block from the hotel - never had to wait more than a minute or 2 for a train and were in the tourist area of central London w/i 15 or 20 minutes. Felt secure in the area and there were a reasonable variety of restaurants nearby.

The front desk staff they don't have any experience, that's why I changed the hotel

hay ratas en el bar, no limpian las habitaciones y la cortina dek bano se me cayo 7 veces

The cleanliness is terrible, there are rats in the bar, I just don't like the hotel

The location is good right next to train. The lobby smells like bad incents times a million. Gagging amounts. We had 2 different fire alarms on different nights at 3am that woke us for false alarm. They put us in a room right next to a kitchen outdoors. So when the wedding that was there was done they started stacking tubs of dishes and banging trash cans at 12am to 1:30am. I called to complain and they said they would check it out but never followed up. Sounded like a war zone. I complained at the desk the next day and the manager didn't believe I called said he would have to check to see if the night manager got a call. Said he would follow up, never did. Offered to move us to a lower room, no upgrade or discount for the multiple night loss of sleep. No gaurentee to be quieter. No followup at all. Complete jerk. The room was ok stains on the floor, ratty couch walls need paint. Maids did good kept it clean. My parents room was so dark only had one little lamp. Also only one plug by the bed so they had to unplug the one lamp in order to use the cpap machine for breathing. Then our safe would not open with our passports inside and the guy they sent had to change battery in the safe and finally after 40 min got it open. I want a refund for the 3 nights I got no sleep. Rediculous noise and alarms. I want my money back

The hotel staff were very good. In particular Nick, the concierge. He went above and beyond. Overall the hotel is ok, however, it needs an update. AC was mediocre and the walls a very thin. The hotel bar was a nice little place to grab a beverage before heading out.

Old hotel needs updating in both decor and service

Very serviceable hotel that is right next to the underground.

Nice hotel next to the Gloucester tube station, WiFi stability is terrible, always dropped at least once during a session. Our first room, the thermostat, mini fridge, and a bedside lamp did not work. We were moved to a better room where only the beds lamp didn't work. The heated towel rack had a notice indicating that it wasn't a heated towel rack. I wonder if they are cutting back on some maintenance. Our card keys demagnitised most days and we had to ask for replacements. The front desk was very helpful in solving our issues.

My son and I shared a twin room on the 6th floor club level. Room itself was a standard room, but comfortable enough. Nice bathroom facilities. We spent very little time there. The club room was a nice place to take a break, with drinks and cookies served all day and hot/cold appetizers in the evening. Breakfast, which was included in our package, was a buffet serving full English breakfast as well as Singapore-style noodles, hot/cold cereals, and continental fare. this hotel has a fully covered entry, which was really nice with the wet weather. The Gloucester Road tube station (Piccadilly/Circle/Bakerloo lines and Big Bus tour) is just around the corner. Left luggage service was handy for early arrival and late departure. Hotel is close to Natural History/Science/V&A/Baden-Powell museums.

Older hotel next to Underground station in a upper class residential neighborhood. Large hotel with somewhat outdated rooms and bathrooms. Wifi was provided but never worked despite getting IT help. Staff professional and price was excellent.

Beautiful hotel. Staff very helpful. Concierge was very helpful and ready to assist.

We were treated like royals. Very close to Underground train station

staff is very friendly they even let me check in couple of hours early .paid upgraded to club room which I got little disappointed because according to me this looks no different than Reg room and added breakfast which they repeat same items and some were there from previous days like flat veg noodle I am pretty sure on 3rd day I still see it there and you can tell it was not cooked fresh .we have still 4days to go I will update if anything changes .If anybody looking for location this is great location and convenience of have underground on your door steps .

STAFF HELPFUL CLEAN PERFECT RECOMMEND TO TRAVELLERS , WORTH EACH DOLLAR ENJOY UR STAY

Just a few things to note before you go: - The Wifi is NOT free (will cost you 10 pounds per day or 5 pounds for 1 hour) this hotel should really just add that in to the cost of your room. - No spa facilities - If you are traveling from another country you will need to purchase a global adapter from the concierge for 5 pounds PROS - Great location off of the Piccadilly Line! - Room was clean and staff was courteous
