It might not feel that way, with all the high-rise buildings, constant traffic, and streams of people, but London is actually a pretty green city with lots of parks to take your pet. Moreover, it offers several places with great walking options.

Parks to take your pet to in London (UK)

There are quite a few large parks in London, of which the most famous are the Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park near Buckingham Palace and Regent’s Park. Note that dogs are not permitted in some areas, such as the flower gardens at Regent’s Park and the playgrounds in general, but even so, they generally offer ample walking lanes and grass to play on.

Greenwich Park is a fun place to visit as you can make the small trek up to the Royal Observatory. Even if you do not decide to enter, its high location makes it a great viewpoint from where you can see the Isle of Dogs. Do not be afraid to use the Underground and the DLR to get there, as pets are permitted and can even ride the tube for free.

While not a lot of restaurants and pubs allow pets inside, The Woolpack on 98 Bermondsey Street loves them and does not mind them joining you for a fresh-cooked meal. If an afternoon break is more what you are after, head to Teapod Tea, located in the Cardamom Building on 31 Shad Thames. Here, you can enjoy a nice cup with your pet by your side. Even the luxurious store Harrods allows pets around the store if you carry it. There is even a Pet Spa!
