Best Western Burns Hotel Kensington3.0 out of 5.0

Was there for a very long transfer. Wanted to be out of the airport system. Was convenient. Just by earls court. Well connected to the LHR. Easy to do a short visit to the museums in South Kensington. Staff was nice. Rooms very basic, but simple. Wifi worked well. Ideal for a short stay or a night.
I finished at the Best Western Burns Hotel with my topdeck tour and have to say this was one of the best places we stayed at. I had a twin room to myself and it had lots of room. Bathroom was nice and clean with a large bath/shower. Beds were nice and comfortable. Reception staff were helpful when needed. I also was leaving early the next day, before breakfast started, and they had arranged for a take away breakfast for me which was nice. It was just some break, jams, apple juice and apple but it was just what I needed. Location was great only a minute walk from Earls Court station and Earls Court Road. Would stay again.
A good standard BW in good location in London - 5min from Earls Court UG. Typical converted house(s) London hotel. Small room (standard for London) with twin bed (there are doubles), tea & coffee in room. En-suite with bath with shower over. Clean and comfortable. No aircon but heating and you can open a window! Friendly staff. Full English breakfast or basic Continental.
Not a bad room size, just enough for a double bed wardrobe, desk. Very clean room and bathroom. Very friendly staff, informative and happy to help. Gluten free breakfast options too. Central to Kensington and only a minute walk to the bus or underground to get anywhere you could need to go. A lot of pubs in the area for a beer and handy little supermarkets and pharmacy options. Good all round option if you want to see London.
We chose this hotel as it is located close to a major Underground station (Earls Court) and within walking distance of the Royal Albert Hall. Our room was a good size, with a comfortable double bed. The bathroom had an efficient shower over a small-ish bath - fine for me but too small for my tall (6'7") husband. We slept fine despite it being warm - but note that there is no air conditioning at this hotel. the breakfast, which we opted for on the second day for a payment of £9.50, was excellent - cooked to order and of good quality. Overall the hotel provided good value, and we will certainly consider using it again.
Worst hotel. Would not recommend to anyone. Double room was so small. We had to ask for a chair to be removed from the room so our suitcase would fit in. No air conditioning and the room was hot and stuffy. We had to ask for a fan that didn't work really well. Not the most friendly reception on our arrival. Very dated and overpriced. Only good thing is hotel is in a good location. Will never stay there again.
I stayed at the Best Western Burns Hotel for three nights and received wonderful service and a great small, but well cleaned room. The hotel is situated very close to a number of great convenient stores, pubs and cash/exchange points; so perfect a first time overseas traveller such as myself.
Like other BW hotels we've used the hotel is a little "tired" but importantly it's clean and comfortable. Our room was a little on the small side with twin beds head to toe at opposite ends of the room. Not a problem for us but trying to watch the TV was interesting. Staff are friend!y and helpful and the continental breakfast offered good value for money. It's situated up a quiet side street with attractive views over a private park and is only three minutes walk from earls court tube. Nearby there are good caves and restaurants. So it isn't the Ritz but you're not paying Ritz prices. A perfect place for a short stay.
Not having been to London before, I had limited expectation of location vs room comfort vs whatever else. The room was smallish but offered what the two of us required, clean, tidy, serviced every day and free wifi. The location was great with easy access to the tube, local pubs and food cafes. A good and easy breakfast, BUT no fridges in the rooms. I have never come across this before. It was a good 3 star hotel and value for money and would stay here again.
Even though the rooms are really really tiny they were still comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, and a good sized bathroom. They also had small fans in reception for there isn't airconditioning in the room. The Elevator is also hilarious, so small, but gave the hotel a great sense of character.
