The rooms are tiny. There is not enough room between the wall and the end of the beds to walk past without moving the other persons bed. There is not enough room to have your suitcase open on the floor to find things. The beds however ar3 comfortable and have decent pillows. The bathrooms are clean, the shower head and water pressure of the shower a bit poor. Was good for a short stay
Visited here in early December.Hotel was very well placed with plenty going on within walking distance local pubs, restaurants etc, although tge area is expensive as you would expect !!,easy walk to Knightsbridge,Harrods, national history museum. Tube station 3 minutes walk.earls court. Hotel is fine, clean pleasant staff,it could go with upgrading as it's s bit old fashioned, but that my opinion.
Paid 40 GBP for a single room which is a ridiculously low fare for zone 1 London. So what could I expect? The hotel is a bit oldish but clean and the single room was not even that small as I would have expected (single bed though). Wi-Fi is free. So nothing else I could have asked for the price. If you get a good rate, go for it. Otherwise there are a million other hotels around.
we arrived after a eight and half hour flight from Miami, despite arriving about midday they had a room ready and we got a free room upgrade,we hoped to be able to freshen up then go and something to eat, unfortunately we had no lighting in the room so had to wait to make sure it was fixed before unpacking our cases,it was about twenty later so that was not to bad,the room was tidy but dated and the bathroom was in badly need of refurb, midway through freshening up there was a knock at the door then the door opened,it was some sort of security check and we were met by two men and a dog, asked at reception about it and given an explanation that they have to do this regularly for there licence(strange that it was done with guests in the room),having gone out for refreshments we returned and decided to have a drink in the bar which was nice and relaxing, next day for breakfast we should have been seated by staff but they were busy talking across the other side of the room so we seated ourselves, eventually ordered our breakfast and when it arrived was pleasant and plentiful,as we had a couple of hours wait for our train home we left our cases with the hotel which was good, generally the hotel was clean and tidy but let down some of the decor and some of the breakfast staff.
We arrived after a long 15 hour flight, was approached by a very rude reception lady(shoulder length blonde hair, skinny built) She seemed like she HATED her job, I don't understand if you don't like your job leave, I'm sure there are people out there that would be willing to work. She wasn't helpful with check in process and had a bad attitude. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable. We then went on a Topdeck tour and already booked accommodation once we returned. I was dreading going back to that hotel but thought I already paid and it was only one night. We arrived back for the one night stay and was greeting by the Male supervisor, he had wonderful customer service, and the girls he was working with were nice too. I was quite shock but happy to be greeted in a positive manner. Maybe staff only act nice when the supervisor is around. 19/11/17 I'm sitting in the foyer now, the supervisors not here and both the female staff are rude and has a bad attitude towards the guest as they check in, any questions ask by the guest would be brushed off or not answered properly. (Both the reception ladies finished at 3pm and that's when the supervisor came in) I'm glad that it wasn't just targeted at us but that just proves they all need to learn some customer service skills from from their supervisor. We spoke to a few people people and they thought that the customer service definitely needs to be improved dramatically.
Wow. I never give two stars to a hotel but this one was shocking. The photos are very deceiving. Very tiny rooms to the point where you have to dress in a corner near the window where room actually exists. Beds and pillows were terribly uncomfortable I almost strained my neck. No ventilation in the bathroom or in the actual room. Window does nothing as the bathroom wall comes out halfway in front of it. Safe inside the room didn’t work and not to mention the shocking elevators which didn’t work or half the time you felt like you were so unsafe. The only reason this review has two stars is for their cleanliness and the location - being right next to Earls Court underground station.
Pleasant small three star hotel, with a few years on its neck, Located 100 meters from the Earls Court tube station, and with walking distance to many restaurants, pubs, as well as to site seeing attractions (walk, or tube). Rooms and bathrooms, are not too small, and pretty fresh, for its category. Shower in bath tub. Pull water temperature towards clock, and to the red zone, not too freeze during a winter morning. Friendly and service minded personnel. Good price & value. Small, bar, for a simple night cap, is a pleasant plus. Draft beer "Becks". Check which cards they take, unless you pay in advance. For example "Maestro" cards, are not accepted.
I stayed for one night alone. The room was a lot bigger than I was expecting it to be. Usually London hotel rooms for one are glorified closets; this one wasn't. I didn't interact with the staff much, but there were no issues that needed sorting out. The only drawback was that there was no 24 hour news channel available on the TV.
Don’t ignore the negative reviews. Three friends travelling, a triple room and cigarette smoke/pavement noise whether you want it or not in a room that, despite being below ground was circa 30C in the winter!!! The daytime girls were lovely and friendly, the nighttime gents were less than helpful with very single request. Very firmly on my AVOID list!!!
We stayed at this hotel years ago and decided to make another visit - we were not disappointed. We arrived quite early and our room was ready which was great, the check in was quick, friendly and efficient. Our room was really nice, it was at the front of the hotel but there is hardly any street noise as the hotel is a bit away from the main road. The Earls Court Tube Station is just around the corner and you can get the Piccadilly line straight up to Leicester Square so location wise this is a super hotel. Unfortunately we were only staying for one night so we didn't get to experience all the lovely bars and restaurants around the area. This is a lovely place to stay, quite reasonable considering what you can pay for hotels in London and so close to the centre. The breakfast was really nice and was cooked fresh. The only downside is that if you order anything other than ordinary coffee, you have to pay for it, I thought this was a bit picky, after all most people like a latte or a cappuccino with breakfast. You can get the train directly from Heathrow to Earls Court which is also very handy. Overall a great but short stay, looking forward to another visit soon.
