Very comfortable although a little compact as were the bedrooms but very helpful staff especially with our visually impaired friends. Good choice at breakfast. Situated close to tube station and public transport.
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The location is great. Staff are fantastic and rooms are good and well equipped. We did have a couple of minor problems during our stay. The management response to our concerns was swiftly dealt with.
Great location in Kensington, just off the Cromwell Road - a few minutes' walk from the museums, and Earls Court tube station. Small single room (small rooms are to be expected in central London). Shabby decor, shabby furniture, and felt a bit grubby. Public areas generally shabby, dated, and showing a lack of investment. Breakfast room smelt of damp and was very unappealing. Plenty of local cafes for a good quality, good value breakfast in nicer surroundings. Would have expected better standards from the Best Western brand.
The only thing that saves this hotel is the staff!! The building is so old that you can hear everything from the side and top bedrooms.. when I say everything.. believe me.. it’s everything!! The bar is a disgrace.. two poor employees waiting to serve someone with their good attitude on a sad room with a tv not working. People on the front desk very helpful! Awesome location next to Earls Court subway and blackbird pub right around the corner for breakfast
Booked at random as I needed a hotel close to Earls Court. Had everything I needed for a two night stay, quiet room, comfy bed, decent Wi-Fi and less than a 5 minutes walk from Earls Court Tube. As anyone who uses hotels in London will know hotel roms especially in this grade are small, so no surprise on the small room, but there was a desk so I could work. Breakfast was nothing special. For an evening meal there are lots of resturants within a short walk of the hotel. I will use this hotel again if I need one near Earls Court.
I am in London once a month on Business. I chose this due to price. Staff are great , especially the man in the bar No heat in room first night really coo. Second night given a small back up heater but still had to sleep wearing a jumper to keep warm.
EXCELLENT location close to 2 train stations and loads of amazing restaurants. The area “feels” safe and welcoming. The hotel is older, but wears it well. Very helpful staff made it easy to acclimate and get to the things we wanted to see. Perfect spot to explore London from!
The location is excellent, ten minutes and your in the West End for Dinner or a Show. Earl’s Court tube is just a two minute walk from Hotel. Lots of pubs nearby. The hotel lobby, clean but dated. We booked two rooms, one for the in laws and one for us, both doubles. We had to pre-pay the whole two night stay at check in. Our room 48, dark, dated, a room just seemed chucked together. Carpet was worn, bed was hard and bathroom needs some TLC too. The room had no heating control, so we were left to God’s devices, one moment very warm, next cold. Breakfast was ok, but pastries were stale and milk for cereal warm Overall, this place for the price tag was not value for money at £220 per night. By the way, when lending an Iron to customers, make sure the Iron has a portable appliance Test, yours would fail as we could see inner wires, live and neutral HSE would have a field day!!!
the room was adequate and comfortable but very small, the bar area was also very small almost like a front room with a corner bar, i assume not a very large turnover of beer or the beer lines need cleaning, not impressed at £5 per pint. did not try the restaurant so no comment, the location is quite good for Earls Court and it is nicely situated across from a small park.
Three nights in London on a tight budget...so pleased with the Burns Hotel. Located 3mins stroll from Earl's Court tube station, and 1min from a host of pubs, restaurants, shops and cafes. So it combined plenty of local dining choice with easy access to central London. The staff were superb and the breakfasts were excellent. Clean, modern rooms with very good bathroom & shower. Very comfortable bed & pillows. A small bar, open in the evenings. Our one problem there was the horrendous noise of our bedroom's radiators. Too loud to sleep. The staff moved us into a much quieter room - no problems at all - and offered us complimentary breakfasts, which we accepted. If you're staying here in winter, I'd suggest double-checking that your room is one of the more recently-renovated rooms with quiet radiators. In summer, probably no problem at all. We'd definitely stay here again though.
