I recently stayed in a one-bedroom apartment. The location cannot be beat. Easy tube access and walking distance to many London sights. Several grocery options are close by. The area seems very safe and I never felt uncomfortable walking down the small street you have to walk down to get to the entrance. The Ritz doormen are nearby as is the taxi lineup for the ritz and what appeared to be a pub with high end clientele. I prepaid through expedia so check in was a breeze. I was thrilled that my apartment was ready for a noon check in. The space in the apartment is great. Big living room. Decent sized kitchen and bath. The bed was too hard for my tastes, but otherwise decently furnished. I loved having a vanity in the bedroom. The windows did not seal well and, as a result, there was a lot of draftiness in the apartment. My apartment overlooked the courtyard/Green Park. Despite the serene view, there was a surprising amount of road noise - I assume it was coming from Piccadilly. Housekeeping was great. Front desk was nice enough - helpful whenever I asked for something. I would return and would recommend to others. It is probably a bit overpriced for the quality, but the space is good and the location is outstanding.
I have stayed twice in these apartments recently. Once with a colleague in a 2 bed and more recently in a 1 bed. Both apartments were recently refurbished to the highest standard. The standard of cleanliness was very high and I found the staff to be pleasant and accommodating, storing my luggage for me on both days. They really are equipped with everything you could possibly want to enjoy your stay and make it feel like a home from home. The location is less than 5 minutes walk from Green Park tube and so they are very convenient. I highly recommend this place.
Stayed as a couple for 6 nights at Arlington House this month. We booked a studio and was upgraded to a one-bedroom apartment. The apartment is huge, clean, and has all the amenities we need for our stay. I specially liked that the kitchen has all the basic cooking utensils. This made it easy for us to prepare our own breakfast everyday. The daily housecleaning was also good and the internet works perfectly well. Check-in was a breeze since we have pre-paid the apartment online and there was no wait time as our apartment was ready when we arrived late afternoon. I just wished that the lone guy in the reception who checked us in could have been more warm to us guests when we arrived and does not appear impatient when we ask questions. Other than that, everything was good. The location of Arlington House is perfect as it is close to main tourist areas in London. The tube station and several bus stations (including the HOHO bus) are also few minutes walk away from the hotel. Over all, our stay at Arlington House was great! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends.
The apartment block is a couple of minutes away from green park station. It is so centrally located that almost every place was within walking distance. We rented a two bedroom apartment which was very spacious and well appointed. They have daily service and change of towels. Our linen was also changed three times in the week on special request. The staff were very polite and friendly.
Having spent 3 nights at this property I have come to the conclusion it enjoys prime location right by Green Park underground station, within a walking distance to well-known points of interest. Nonetheless the apartment we were provided with, although in good shape, had some noticeable maintenance issues: Kitchen • Loose water tap in the kitchen sink • Lack of silverware-as already mentioned in previous reviews, the silverware was lacking, i.e. there were too little knives, forks etc. I consider this to be a rather minor issue yet this should have already been changed by now. Shower • Striking lack of aeration. This caused major humidity damages to the shower cabinet, which should have been replaced by now. • Broken and loose marble plank. • Strange water tap in the shower sink, which in order to have hot water requires you to first get cold water and only then push the handle further to get hot water while water splashes get to the floor. It should be mentioned though that the shower has underfloor heating, which I found to be cozy. In addition we had constant motor noise whenever the windows were open (they open into an inner shaft)-we notified the reception about this problem and were suggested to approach their reservation office to consider moving into another apartment; given the short three-night stay we decided not to do that. To top it all we had a major problem with the electricity sockets: they didn't match the standard European plugs and my own universal adapter was to no avail either. Having reported this problem to the reception I was offered to have adapters against a deposit-unfortunately of the two we got only one was actually working. We returned the defective one and were told they ran short of additional ones as guests tend not to return them. This greatly limited access to power sockets we needed for charging our laptop and cellphones. Lastly, although the apartment was equipped with a washing machine combined with a dryer, there was no laundry rack to dry out delicate clothes. There's also no public washroom in the ground floor by the reception. To sum it up, despite the maintenance issues and other problems mentioned above, we had an enjoyable stay. Nonetheless when you pay 282$ per night including taxes you'd expect a lot more.
Stayed in the studio as a couple with three year old child: Positives: location is great for sightseeing, Negatives Facility: the building is not accessible for people with push chairs, staff at front desk not looking to support going up and down the stairs even though it was obvious we needed support. Attitude: some of the staff at the front desk had an unwelcoming attitude. This was evident especially with the fact that since there is no alternative to using the stairs to get to the lift as we were using a baby push chair, the staff at the front desk never once offered to help. I had to ask them for help every time and they didn't seem too happy about it. Embarrassing attitude. Another example of bad attitude is on one evening we asked front desk to make a reservation for a restaurant since there was no one on the concierge at the time and we were met with the response of "na mate, I don't do reservations" by the Arabic guy at the front desk. Really rude and lacked basic manners. Hygiene: Towels were very old and some had staines all over them. Views: Room view was non existent, literally looking at a wall. Made it very dark even in the morning.
I found the Arlington House to be a good value, priced decently for the St James/Mayfair area. My room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and having a kitchen & washer-dryer was very useful for a long stay (12 days for me). The staff was courteous and helpful. The location was also great (2 minute walk to Green Park Station from which you can get to just about anywhere in London).
Ive decided this time to take hotel apartment and my choice was on this apartments for a try. I was happy with price, location and the space of the apartment. I liked it to be honest but it could do more with Staff to improve their services. It doesn't have a great deal of reception nor a lobby to stay so it was made for ppl to move on to their apartment. The night shifts staff at reception are very noisy and this annoyed me and I've spoken to them to lower their toon rather than shouting but was not successful. I will recommend this for good location in london.
Visited with my family of 5 huge apartment everything was spacious clean and comfortable Had a bit of hicup with the plumbing in the bathroom but the management took great care of it and was made felt a lot comfortable about it Quick response for issues is the key word Everything was so close by eating shopping sightseeing If someone wants to enjoy a true London Mayfair experience with family this is the place !!!!! Only one suggestion pls keep housekeeping and maintenance staff 24/7 if possible 👍👍
A great building in central London Arlington house wAs very comfortable and spacious. The staff was excellent but it wasn't a full time service apartment... I thought that the hotel wasn't worth the price that was the only issue.. otherwise great
